So that is where all the spam is coming from, I was wondering why I was getting so many all of a sudden.

Why would someone spam those on this group to get us to come here. We are already here. I suspect it is someone who has access to the boards but not someone who is already here. Maybe I don't have a clue how this works though.

YANKEE AND PROUD OF IT!!! I've been married to a southern boy for 11 years, together for 14. I'm sorry if I've dropped a few IQ points along the way!

I was also engaged twice, but to the same woman, we've been married going on 32 years now!!!

Long story short, we got engaged, I moved to Colorado to attend school, broke off the engagement, was out there for three months, couldn't stand to be seperated from Hazel, moved back to NJ in July, and we were married that October.

Oct. 17 1992 - we were going for Oct 10 but the priest who was supposed to marry us always went to Canada for Canadian Thanksgiving, and that year it fell on the 10th. So we moved it to the 17th - then about three months later the priest got very ill and eventually passed away, so he didn't perform the ceremony but we kept the 17th anyway.

The marriage you are in now- is it your first?

and even if it isn't, how long have you been married to the one you are married to now?

Married to my darling 23 years in July. Was 23 when we got married! Wow! We've been together 28 years and it's both of ours only marriage.


And you know what, you know how we met???

Even at 13 he was hard working. We didn't start dating until I was 18 and him 19. And yes, I had already been previously engaged

Married more than once but not divorced?

Ours is a little bit of a unique situation. DH is older than I, so if you talk about cradle robber, he is. There's almost 20 yrs between us. I struggled with that a bit, but my DGma kept bugging me about what difference does age make. What did I know at that time, I was only 24. Sooo, he finally wore me down, proposed to me on the sunny beaches of the Yucatan Peninsula and I said yes. Hotel staff was so moved that they arranged a wedding for us right there. DH thinks it was b/c he looks like Tommy Lee Jones. Any way, I was torn b/c I've always dreamt of a wedding, but it just felt so right. So, we took the plunge in Mexico, came home and announced our engagement and then planned a wedding. Technically, my marriage license is dated 1/1/97 but my family thinks it's 10/19. We had a DF who is a minister perform the second ceremony. To this day only 6 people in my life know. But I know my secret is safe here.

Let's see... early Nov. 1978, met at work;went on "date" 2 weeks later(lasted 3 days ). Dated 3 weeks; Engaged Dec.23,1978; Married June 16,1979. Both 21, first for both. I was engaged three times before this,twice with rings. We have no kids and are the only ones on either side of our families that haven't been divorced.

Mine is not so exciting. It really was a surprise since I didn't think DH was going to propose any time soon. My ring was a Chrhistmas gift, but until he got on his knees I really thought the were earrings or something since I always got a peice of jewlery for gifts.

I am the cradle robber in this family. LOL! First & only marriage for both of us. Married 10/25/97.

i'd be a cradle robber too....dh and i were together for 6 yrs before we got married, and we've now been married for 10 years ...celebrated our anniv on the halloween wonder...lots of fun!
