Hi all ... Just wanted to wish you upstate New Yorkers good luck this morning with all the snow. I live in the south western area of Ontario, and we didn't get hit as bad as you folks, but still got a lot of snow. Take care shovelling and be sure to warm up your muscles before starting!

DH finally made it home from MD - took about 3 hours longer than normal, but he is home!!!! Thank you to everyone who sent good wishes along earlier today - I really appreciate it!!!!!:wizard:

I'm glad he made it home in this weather. Stay safe in this mess.

So do you own stock in Energizer or Duracell? :confused3

:lmao: :lmao:

RayOVac!! :lmao: :lmao:

Wanna hear something funny.......the blender has a rechargeable battery pack. I don't even need batteries!! But it's funny and we'll keep it going!
I'm not sure how long the battery lasts before it has to be recharged, but Enna knows how to get power out there on Secret Deck 7!!

hehehe.....I think there'd be a mutiny and succession from the Union if any part of CA were dry....in fact, I'd bet that most Californians don't even know what that even means....so you're safe buying....now as to what the port will allow, don't kow....definitely something to research.

I have been struck by something when researching hotels. They say that they are smoke free. Is this something that is all over the area? Here the malls & some restaurants are smoke free.

The thing is DCL in PC says it's not allowed, yet they allow it. So it's not like you can call them up and say hey, can we bring drinks on in Ca same as PC? Because their "official" word on this is no in PC anyway...
:confused3

Exactly why we won't know until the first MR cruise that summer.

Darlene so glad DH made it home safe & sound!!

Just wanted to let everyone know that last night I edited the summaries a bit. They are all now in 1000 blocks and all the references to links are hyperlinks so you just need to click on the words to take you to the link. This is instead of having to look for a certain page or post #. I hope that it makes it easier for people to go back & find some of the information that has been posted. I'm also cleaning it up to make it easier when it is time to transfer the information to the website. :thumbsup2

Just went on the school district homepage and found out that our schools are on a two hour delay start.

I just called and took a Personal Day, ain't NO WAY I'm walking around in this mess. I nearly slipped and fell just going outside to see if my newspaper was here yet. It's horrible outside, a layer of ice on top of the sn*w that fell yesterday, and more sn*w expected before this storm moves out of the area. This is some CRAZY stuff!!!

Be Safe if you have to be out in this mess.

Thanks for letting us know, Andy. We don't have to worry about you out there today. :goodvibes Stay warm!

There are a lot of Mikes as DHs too. This could get confusing. :lmao:

On our 2004 Lost At Sea Cruise there where alot of posters and DHs named Bob. After a while, all the men were just called Bob....whether they like it or not......made thing really easy, only had to remember the women's names :lmao: :lmao:

 WOO HOO!!

There's new, freshly fallen from the heavens snow on the ground!!

No work for me today!! :3dglasses :happytv: :surfweb: popcorn::

Course we now have gone from a Winter Storm Warning to a Blizzard Warning.

That isn't so uncommon up there though. If that happened down here in NC they would call in the National Guard.

I remember going up to Waterville in the summer to visit my GPs. We were out in jeans & tshirts loving the weather...probably in the high 70s/low 80s. Everyone who lived there was inside standing around the A/C window unit complaining about how hot it was. ;) I just couldn't understand what they were talking about.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hope everyone is safe and sound this morning. We got 5" of snow and most of the schools are closed. I got to work ok but it took me a little longer. Hardly anyone here today. First time I've use my 4WD. Wow, it does help! To those of you in upstate NY hope everything goes well for you. Stay warm and dry!

Now to catch up on things!

Except it backfired on a few people. This was a Western and we missed both Grand Cayaman and Castaway Cay. By dinner time after Free Drinks, there was a line up at Guest Services. My friends and I sat in the lobby listening and laughing at all the people complain and basically what they were saying was that Disney should control the weather better. :confused3

Oh yes! I know that people have reported the reservation person closing up shop onboard on one of the hurricane diverted cruises because people were so upset with the weather. She didn't do any more onboard bookings that cruise...so you know it must have been bad. :(

The groundhog lied! I think he needs to be thrown in the crockpot.

:scared1: :scared1: :lmao: :scared1: :scared1: :lmao: :scared1: :scared1:

I guess those GHs are going to have to rally & defend themselves again.

Welcome Aboard!!!
:cheer2:  :cheer2:
Did Lisa (lbgraves) warn you that once you step out into the open and start posting that it can become addicting at times? :rotfl2: I have a DD who will be 8 next month and she is always looking for friends that she doesn't even know she has. :) Maybe when she visits Grandpa next time in Larchmont, when it is MUCH warmer, we can get the girls together for a mini-DIS meet!

That is just the cutest thing. :goodvibes I am going to have to tell DD about her so that she can start emailing again. She liked that last cruise. Your DD will be in the 8-9 group in the lab on this cruise, right?

Was this a western in 1/05? I was on one that missed both ports, offered free drinks and then a few fights broke out.:scared1:

YIKES!!! You guys could have actually been in the atrium together & didn't even know it. LOL!

Well gosh that stinks. If people are already mad is it really a wise idea to then punish everyone by making it where they can't rebook onboard for another cruise after that one was messed up by weather? I'd have been furious not about the weather but about not being able to rebook onboard!

Finally...........a snow day (or ice day if you are being specific) for us here in Virginia! No school for my kids and more importantly NO SCHOOL FOR ME! For once the only kids I have to deal with are my own- yahoo! Hope all is staying warm out there!

lbgraves: thanks for the info on shutters pics, I have contacted them and am awaiting their response. I am still going to let DCL know that I am dissatisfied with the shutters experience. I know they read their mail - DH wrote them a very nice letter last year after our cruise just thanking them for the wonderful customer service and they called us to say thanks! That was really cool!

Also - kudos to you for the wonderful website - you are awesome!!
