We change our clocks the same time as you, currently on GMT, in March we will swap to BST British summer time, one hour forward of GMT.

Europe swaps the same time as us.

I think we are always 5 hours in front of EST.

I think that the mistake often made is checking us against GMT, but we are only on that winter months.

Thanks!

Do you switch with the same timing as France? I only ask because we've got offices in France and there are times that they make the change a week or two before us ... I'm on EST. BUT, now that I think about the changes we're making to start EDT earlier ... we might now be on the same schedule as Europe. :confused3

How are you going to adjust even to the early seating?????:confused3
That is quite a difference in time when it time to eat.

I am looking forward to getting know y'all!

:grouphug: :grouphug: :jumping1: WELCOME

my little cousin used to pronounce firetruck with an "F" (in the wrong place!)- we (my sis and I - and his big brother) used to ask him over nad over to say firetruck and then laugh and laugh.....we used to pick on the poor little guy so terrible.:rotfl:

DD use to do this as well. We finally had to teach her to say Fire Engine. :rotfl2:

Cool - we have something in common! DS also has a huge head. Did you have trouble with clothing sets when she was smaller? The type of thing that came with a cute hat that didn't have a prayer of fitting? I have been getting him adult size hats for ages and he is only 7!

pdarrah (Pamela)

My DD has a larger head but it's proportional to the rest of her (everything taller, longer, etc...)

We had a terrible time trying to find her a riding helmet...

Still not caught up, but I just back from hairdressers, scoffed down some chicken, broccoli & ziti for lunch, & now I'm off to the gym. I just wanted to say thanks for the well wishes for my DS. He is feeling much better, fever is down, stomach ache is gone, & even his congestion has improved. He hasn't stopped talking so I know he's feeling a lot better. If it wasn't for the leg cramps, I'd say he was in perfect health. I guess he crawled upstairs to brush his teeth while I was gone. I asked him why he was so deperate to brush his teeth, but he just said, "I dunno." Glad to see sickness hasn't affected his good hygiene.

There was a question a few pages back about the leg cramps, but the doctor never said what type of virus causes the leg cramps, but just that it was a virus. Perhaps my son is now prone to it? Anyway, "it's just a virus" tends to be the catch-all phrase my doctor uses.

I see Todd's son is sick now too. Hope he feels better soon!

Try to catch up later! :)

Viruses do not cause leg cramps. Viruses cause loss of fluids and electrolytes that can cause leg cramps. Those doctors. :sad2:

That is quite a difference in time when it time to eat.

That generally isnt a problem, late dinner would be, we fly out often before the cruise and I try to get onto local USA time on arrival. Staying up until that evening say 9pm. The airline gives you food so that isnt a problem.

Last repo in 2005 I flew to LV first the kids and I were up to 10pm there, that would be 6am UK.So getting to the airport leaving at 5am, made that a 25 hour day!

Coming back against the SUN is the worst it takes a day to recover on that one!

Esteri,

Have to tell you what happened to my Weim Grace today. I was out side shoveling snow and she was playing. Came back in with her and found blood all over the floor. Seems she sliced open the pad on her left front paw. Probably on some ice.
We stuck some gauze in between the pads and wrapped her paw in athletic tape and she seems to be fine. Doesn't even bother with the tape. Not like when she opened up the area between her stomach and her upper leg. That didn't bleed but we had to have her wear the E-collar after her repair surgery.

Hey Laura -
Sure hope you find this - 20 some odd pages back from where you first posted it. (And here I thought we were slowing down. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: )

Epson Salts. Nothing better for foot injuries. Had a dog that ripped a nail off (don't ask me how, haven't a clue). The vet had me soak her foot in Epson Salts and warm water twice a day. Prevented the infection, and helped dry out the area. That's the problem with foot injuries - you put ointment or the like on and it softens the pad - takes longer to heal.

Good luck! I've got to draw for two major field trials this evening. Then the trials run basically the 17th through the 25th. So I won't be around much next week.
