That generally isnt a problem, late dinner would be, we fly out often before the cruise and I try to get onto local USA time on arrival. Staying up until that evening say 9pm. The airline gives you food so that isnt a problem.

Last repo in 2005 I flew to LV first the kids and I were up to 10pm there, that would be 6am UK.So getting to the airport leaving at 5am, made that a 25 hour day!

Coming back against the SUN is the worst it takes a day to recover on that one!

WOW

I had a terrible time adjusting went I went to Hawaii!!!!!! That is why we will not go to Australia. That was my dream but the long airplane ride would drive me:crazy2:

Hi Everyone,
I've been enjoying this thread sooo much - you are all such a great group of people - I'm delighted that we are on the cruise with you.

It's time for me to join the fray -
there will be 4 of us - DH - Paul, me - Chris, DD - Lori, her son DGS 7yrs at cruise time. The rest of our family cannot join due to conflicting schedules. Paul missed our 12/05 cruise and is quite happy that this is a "pirate driven" cruise - he is already researching his costume. Lori & I will just repeat 2005!!
Don't know how frequently I will be able to post - however - to all those w/B'days - Happy Birthday, to those ill/recuperating - my thoughts are with you - feel better ASAP. Oh, to those of you facing snow, etc. please take care and keep warm.
Cheers - Chris:flower3:

Welcome Aboard Chris!

I did Hawaii once that was 11 hours off UK!

LA in 2008 will be 11.5 hours flight.

Thailand was like that for me. Exactly 12 hours offset and I was only there a few days and was completely wiped coming back. US to UK is not so bad, except in the fall when I had to do US-Hong Kong-UK-US. I didn't even bother trying to adjust and dealt with being tired all the time.

Luckily, with the cruise, I wouldn't imagine time zone changes are that big of a deal since we all do things at different times anyway from what is normal.

Welcome!!!:goodvibes

It's SO funny that the choc chip cookie recipe was posted earlier. I am home now from work...they closed the office at 2 due to weather, so I didnt really have to debate anymore about leaving earl...LOL

Anyway, so I'm home safe, and I'm thinking with all the talk earlier about baking, I'd love to bake something sweet! So I looked to see what I had in my cupboards, and I have all the stuff you listed for those cookies! (except I have milk chocolate/peanut butter chips instead of just straight chocolate chips, but I think it'll still taste good.) I was actually going to get on here and ask if anyone thought the choc/peanut butter chips would be good in brownies because I have all the stuff to make brownies from scratch too...HMMMMM..decisions decisions....
