DS is not as congested today, but he says he can't walk because his legs are killing him. Geez is there any symptom this kid won't have before all is said & done. I'm not really worried because the same thing happened last year & when I called the doctor they said the virus going around was affecting the legs for a day or 2 & it certainly did.

Have a good day everyone!

I hope he feels better soon. Did the Dr say what virus it is that causes the legs to hurt? I hope it doesn't come to CA. We've had our share this winter - norovirus and rotovirus. Yuck.

MR- I hope you're daughter is felling better today!!

I am playing nurse today as well, but my patient is of the 4-legged variety. Our 13 1/2 yo dog, Beau, had been acting out of sorts lately. He wouldn't go up and down stairs, and wasn't as playful. Sunday evening my husband picked him up and noticed some scabs on his belly. We flipped him over to find some pretty nasty looking sores. It had been burried under all of his fur (he's a Sheltie). Took him to the vet yesterday morning and the Vet is very worried. They are running a blood test, and the Vet mentioned it may be cancerous lesions. :sad1:

We won't hear back about the blood test until tomorrow, and the Vet wants to see him again on Saturday. In the mean time I have to keep him and my other dog, Sloopy, separated, and I have a regiment of antimicrobial wash for the wounds, ear drops because his canals were infected also, antibiotics & pain killers....all several times a day. Poor guy. He has always been the most pleasant dog. He was such an angel at the Vets even though he was being poked while he was in so much discomfort.

:wizard: pixie dust for your sheltie!!!

MR - hope your DD is doing much better!!!!:goodvibes

:wizard: HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATIE AND JOEL!!!:wizard:

I don't care for the Bratz dolls either. DD has gotten them as gifts, but really isn't into them much. They are skanky little things.

A couple of years ago her Brownie troop went to the Limited Too store and had a tour. DD always wants to go and get clothes there, but they are way to teenagerish(?sp) for her. We did buy a HSM t there because it was the only place that had them at the time. DD wears a 7/8 right now and I had to get a 14 so it wasn't skin tight! That 14 is smaller than some t's she has that are 7/8!

I wonder what some of these clothes designers are thinking! They're little girls. :confused3

I let my DD shop at Lmtd2, but she goes in knowing I have veto power and am not afraid to use it...sometimes we walk in and leave with nothing...there is often alot there I would not let her buy, but she also puts together some really cute outfits...quality wise, I am not thrilled...I try to get Talbots end of season...and try to steer her to Old Navy....

ooooh pretty cake! And yes....Happy Birthday Katie!!! :cake: (not as pretty)

I'm not caught up yet, but I'll have to go back & read every single post, because like I said before...I'm nosey. But first I must go get my hair done. My greys are really starting to show! :scared:

I hope MR's DD is feeling better today, but I don't know if she's been on yet. I'll check back later.

Anyway random thought for the day....is it possible that goofy is just a strange looking mouse? I mean he's black like Mickey & Minnie & he has a beige face like Mickey & Minnie but he has long droopy ears & a long snout. :confused3

Have a good day everyone!

Hope DS is doing better soon! Sending some pixiedust: that this just about done!

For some strange reason, I've always kind thought of Goofy as a cow:confused3 .

Happy Birthday, Katie!
And everyone I missed the last few days.

WOW! Those are beautiful dolls & dresses. The prices are similar to AG.....just a bit less. But, it's nice to have some other options.

I love the medieval stuff - bought DD the green one for Christmas

,,along these lines: I was in Michaels crafts this weekend..they also have the AG style/size dolls and outfits - haven't been in there in some time, so not sure how new this is....:)

Oh my, I feel a little sheepish to have to admit this, but my DD does have some Bratz dolls and I do shop for her at Limited Too (when they have sales). I'm very selective about what I let her choose however. No hoochie clothes. They often have very cute sportswear, especially the sweats.

DD is a total girly girl and loves all sorts of dolls. She has plenty of Barbies and Disney princesses and she loves American Girl dolls. She has several and is really enjoying reading the books that go with them. Where I have to admit I do feel a bit squeamish about the Bratz sometimes, I love the American Girl dolls, books and movies.

An American Girl Place just opened at the Grove in Los Angeles, and that's where we will be celebrating DD's birthday this year. They have a theatre with a show, a tea room, a store and a salon where they can have their doll's hair done. She is very excited about spending the day there!

OK, now that I have fessed up about the Bratz I feel better. Like going to confession! I hope you will all forgive me my transgression!

I agree that the quality isn't the best. I like Old Navy and Target better. Although there are some cute things at Limited 2. When her Brownie troop went they got to put on a fashion show. DD choose a cute black dress with white poka dots and white trim. It was cute, but it was a halter top which I thought was too much for a 6 yr old! It was also $30. DD wanted me to buy it, but I told her there was no place that she could wear it.

We absolve you!

Hmmm....well...just make sure she doesn't bring the Bratz dolls on the cruise, ok?

(just kidding!)
