OK...

Before I go - here's something that will add several posts to the thread in a hurry....

Answer these SEVEN questions - one by one - with one post at a time...

1) What is your FAVORITE SMELL???

2) What are you having/HAD for Dinner tonight?

3) If you could have ANYTHING for dinner tomorrow - what/where would it be?

4) If you could fly anywhere for a day - one day - all expenses paid - where would you go - what would you do if naming ONE thing while on this travel fling?

5) Who is your FAVORITE Disney Character?

6) What is your favorite number - if yo have one?

7) What is your astrological sign? Gotta find an image to post if you're handy at things like that too!

OK... if we had 20 DIS folks watching - this will add 140 posts in no time!

1) Stephanotis, that would mean that I was in Hawaii and I love that smell

2) Honey/Lime Chicken, Spinach & non-fat Refried Beans (ABS diet)

3) What ever the special is at Palo's

4) Hawksnest bay, St John USVI on a sailboat with DW. Snorkeling there.

5) Goofy who else

6) 23

7) Capricorn

I keep going forward and then backward and then forward and then backward.:rolleyes1 It is really hard to keep up. I feel like I am always answering late but could be because I am cheap. I still use dial-up.:rotfl2:
LOL
Me too with the back and forth. Usually I try to read and catch up before posting, sometimes posting by quoting someone pages back and then just clicking the little arrow in their quoted post within my post (following me there?) to get back where I was trying to catch up at. But today everything is loading so slow... I'm doing the 2 browsers- one is way back where I'm trying to catch up and one is watching the last pages and posting along there too. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Don't sweat it...

If you're quoting someone in reply - there is that little tiny button that backs up to the last post - so folks can click back to make heads or tails of things. I am not shy about replying to things that are several pages back - especially if I see their green status light is on as that tells me they are on line now. AND - if it is really a juicy reply - but the poster is not on - then I send a link via PM to the recipient so they can find my reply. I only do that on rare occassion though.

Hope this is encouraging to you. The pace is not always as blistering as it may seem sometimes.... :confused3

I really really LOVE that little button. It really is a time saver. I remember on the other huge thread (different cruise in the past) it was so hard to keep up with conversations because you'd see a post and have no clue what was going on and you'd have to search and search for the post they quoted to figure out what the conversation was. Now it's just a click away with that little button there! Love it!

You're always encouraging Crash! :thumbsup2 I do actually tend to use the quote button a lot & actually figured out how to add multiple quotes today but it was completely by accident. That's how I tend to figure out most things on the computer.

I believe it was lime green for embarkation day and hot pink for the Panama Canal, right?

Seriously, there was a decision made and the Captain will be posting ordering information and giving an iron-on tutorial later as we get closer. Black for embarkation and white for the Canal. I imagine this will end up on page 1 when it is really official.

No no no, you have that all wrong. It's red on embarkation day and bright neon pink for the canal. Get it right will ya?

:confused3
(kidding!! Well except for the red part but that's just me)

In the last day or so I noticed the thread slowed down a LOT - down to a normal pace - and it was very reasonable to follow or jump into - especially if I were someone new to the community!

I'm in a normal lurk mode now - posting when I see fit.... We'll get to 20,000 eventually - and although I might get a few chuckles out of sprinting to 20K - I do have to make supper for the kids... <chuckles> ....

SO remember... I'll be LURKING and waiting in ambush for the 20,000th posting!!!!

While I am glad the thread has slowed down (and I really won't miss having to click through a bunch of pages to get past the 'run for the ::MinnieMo '), I certainly hope it doesn't get boring. There have been quite a few days I've taken a break at work to see what has been posted and someone has posted something so laugh out loud funny that it has brightened my day considerably. So I hope it's not all just 'excursions, Disneyland, cruise' and still a little 'blah blah blah'.

The price for our cat 8 went up 1600 from 8 am to 11:30 am on the 31st. It started at 7612.96. We booked at 8684.96 and it was at 9512.96 when it closed. This is for 2A2K no ins/trans.

Ya kno... I had to say .... watching the prices flow on that wednesday morning was awfully stressful ... and dare I say ... annoying. One of our cabins came back at $6200 for the first two plus another 2K to make it a quad and my spouse was on "my case" because I refused to double book. I explained to her that if I double booked - and everyone double booked then it would inadvertantly wack everyone with higher then normal prices. I was prepared to walk away if I felt ripped off by the final price. And - I made a decision to trust my TA would come through. And she came through... even to the extent of finding a spare cabin from a co-worker where their client backed out! So I picked up that cabin in substitution for my more expensive cabin. My spouse was relieved - while I was ready to say ... the last person for whom that cabin was for would have had to decide whether they were gonna pay that price - or not.

In retrospect - I was rethiking my tactic of not double booking. I needed 9 cabins and if I made just ONE double booking - this would have helped one of our party... ???

I stand corrected. Apologies, m'lady, I shall try to do better next time. ;)

What's this?! I leave the board for 45 minutes and I'm 62 posts and 4 1/2 pages behind? I'll be back after some reading.

I KWYM! ;) I don't think this crew will ever be boring! I just wish I could come up with some of the responses I read! We will still have our pirate joke of the day to look forward to also! :thumbsup2

Well I went to the site and I guess we are all related :grouphug:Anyway her it is

Your pirate name is:
Mad Anne Rackham

Every pirate is a little bit crazy. You, though, are more than just a little bit. You have the good fortune of having a good name, since Rackham (pronounced RACKem, not rack-ham) is one of the coolest sounding surnames for a pirate. Arr!

Cheryl, I just refresh the page. Probably the same. Did you get a pirate name yet? I think we are all a byproduct of inbreeding:rotfl2:

Fresh sushi from one of the little restaurants adjacent to the Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo

I'll buy her white shirts (for under the jumpers) as I see them on clearance this year. At least we knew the uniform requirement early enough that I can limit my buying ahead on clearance to just what we need for after school & weekends.

DW does this with DS's clothes. She will buy a ton of stuff at the end of the previous season for him.

She also gets really good deals on his winter coats and snow pants that way.
