In Acapulco I think we are wanting to do the river rafting thing ....

I have always wanted to do that...anywhere. I think that the kids would stay on the ship. Not sure if they would enjoy it as much.

Sounds pretty awesome to me too. My DBro who works for "The Mouse" loves amusement parks and loooved his trip to Ohio. And home for me is mile marker 309 on Rt 80. I can sell DH on it if we continue to visit some of his family in Michigan too.

Just let us know. Since it is the summer we can probably work out any dates.

We're flexible too...We live just about an hour away, so if the out of state travelers know when's good for them, we can work around your plans. We've got plenty of time to consider a date, CP doesn't open for at least 3 months. But our favorite times to go are last couple weeks of August. Crowds really thin out then. Which sometime around Aug 17th to celebrate the 1 year until the cruise would be cool.

Well..been a long day...our youngest DD turns 6 on Tuesday, but had inlaws in over weekend and big family party today. Worn out.

No diving for us. We did walk the plank in Aruba on the Jolly Pirate excursion. May do that again as it was an awesome day.

BIP, were you asking about diving in Acapulco?

My BIL dove in Ixtapa (north of ACA) and said the dive was o.k. but not great. You don't get the colorful fish like you do in the Caribbean. Plus, you can't go as deep.

We tried snorkeling in Puerta Vallarta and Huatulco and that wasn't good either. Both times were in shallower bay areas, but there wasn't much coral.

You may want to have your DH wait until the Caribbean, but unfortunately there is only Aruba that we stop at.

When I started saying BIP I honestly thought those were the first three letters. Never stopped to spell it all out before. It's like code for the spell. Nothing bad was intended by it.

Just checking in , my family and I will be cruising with you nuts. I read all the recaps and I must say I am still a bit lost, amused, yes, but still way out of the loop. Checking in with this thread will really help with wait though!

It depends on how fast the raft is, but we would take DS in a second.

We took him on a two hour or so (12 mile) raft ride down the Colorado from the base of Hoover Dam in Las Vegas and he loved it.

If the sights are cool and the ride is not to wild, it would be fun.

DS was 4 at the time.

Has anyone stayed at the Courtyard Anaheim at DL Resort on South Harbor Blvd? It says that it is right across the street from the park. Right now it is between that & the Fairfield Inn down the street. TIA.

No he stayed home in OKC. The worst part of the trip was that my 18yo girl dog died while I was away. We were very close.
