I totally agree! Pets that are found, rescued, come from the humane society, etc. are fantastic

Of course, we take it to an extreme in our house

We have 3 cats that we adopted from the shelter on purpose (the plan was to just have 3 cats...) but then DH is always dealing with what we call his "outside cats". He feeds them, has a small insulated "house" for them and whenever he cans he catches them and gets them nutered/spade. When we first moved to our house, there were easily 2 dozen ferile cats around - we are now down to about 4 - and DH's 'system' is probably the reason. At least there aren't any new ones being produced . Over the years, 3 of those 'outside cats' have become inside cats! 2 were tiny kittens and he was trying to get the humane society to take them, but they were so overful that year they just couldn't - eventually he got attached to them so they stayed. The 3rd was an 'outside cat' for about 3 years - we think a neighbor dumped him when they moved away - and he was really skittish for a long time, he is very intelligent and DH couldn't catch him - then he got a really bad sinus infection and slowed down enough to be caught and taken to the vet. After he recovered, he quickly decided he liked being indoors and has become our most affectionate, cuddle kitty! So yes, you've added right - we have 6 cats! DS7 has named most of them so they are Vincent VanGogh, Norman Rockwell, Dustbuster, Claude Monet, Jackson Pollack, and Tuxedo.

it is so great that you do that!!!! I love the names!! you can say you are only going to have so many cats, but more just find you!!!!

DSIL has just under 20 cats - they just find her. She lives out in the country so she can do that. If I could I would bring home every one I see at Petsmart!!! Our neighbors are very active at a local shelter and their son has a fundraiser every year for his birthday instead of getting gifts - his mom is always trying to help place cats and dogs!!!

right now I have the most loving cat I have ever had - she came to us one night (actually she showed up at the neighbors I mentioned - who promptly brought her over to us knowing her Dh would have a cow if she brought another one in!!!), I can't imagine who would let her go - she is just a gift - I don't know how else to put it...we have a second cat who is just as ornery as the first is loving, but we love her just the same!!!!

What it anyone else's Birthday today in addition to Joe's, who by the way, is a cutie...ummmm......I mean a very handsome young man Say me looking back, how old was he today?

Thank you - we think he's cute too! He turned 12 at exactly 8:08pm - while I was in labor DH told me I had to wait until "Real Stories of the Highway Patrol" was over before he came out!

Hi everyone. Just found this site while doing a search for this cruise. This will be my 3rd DCL cruise. Did a 4 day Land/Sea back in 2000 and a 7 day Eastern last year. I'm really looking forward to going through the Panama Canal. I hope I don't have to read all 20,000 plus posts. That would take me until cruise time.

She is my little girl - DH insisted we name her Cinder after my fav Disney character. I tried to find a pic of Joe with his dog Buddie but I don't have any on my laptop and I don't know what I'm doing wrong that the pic sizes are always so small when I post them put they're large on my laptop . I'll have to try and figure that one out.

You know how the servers figure out what you like and sometimes bring it before you even ask for it? For my 4 year old daughter it was cranberry juice and a bowl of maraschino cherries. For my 7 year old son it was a plate of little plastic swords. I think Josh brought home over 100 swords!

Raman and Ion even made little sunglasses out of the little plastic swords.

That is so cute! My dd 7 at the time kept telling the same joke every night and both servers would laugh every time!
