Yes, and I love Squeeze.....Black, black, black coffee in bed
:thumbsup2

I know I am coming in a little late - but I LOVE Squeeze!!:thumbsup2

Got to see them in college the week that album was released - the article in Rolling Stone later that week read: "Potsdam on a Saturday is about as exciting as, say, Poughkeepsie on a Tuesday" :lmao: ah well, Potsdam was in the weekend before finals and Clarkson was in seniors week, so the concert was a small, intimate affair - but I did get to stand right in front of Glen Tilbrook the whole time!!!

(Opening for them was a group of guys with crazy hair styles - it was Flock of Seagulls right before they hit MTV and anyone knew who they were!!!):)

Harold Robbins was referenced in "Pulling Mussels.." awesome beach song!!!

I remember my mom reading Harold Robbins:rolleyes1 ......

I don't have much time to post on this thread or even follow it :sad1:
but I am also joining all of you on this cruise. We have 2 adults, 2 kids 13 and 11 by that time in a cat 6.

I have emailed Lisa our information and wanted to thank her for keeping this list and all the information that I am sure will eventually be there

Welcome!!!!!

What is this. Usually when a major storms hit, the maternity wards in 9 months are filled. But not with this group of DISers. You East Coasters are putting up about 6 pages an hour.

How do you expect us at work to keep up?

Hope everyone is staying safe and warm.

LOL... you know that's not what I meant! :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl:

I'm not much of a wine drinker/tester/sissie... but you will often find me in Diversions during beer tasting.

The days of Snakebites, Alabama Slammers and T-Kill-ya shots are long over. It's beer and wine anymore with an occasional Konk Kooler or Painkiller tossed in. It's not like I can't hold my liquor as I get older. I just prefer to be able to hold my head up the next day.

If this is a go ... then you can count me in to bring some Niagara Region Canadian wine. We are famous for our Ice Wine! I also have a friend who grew up on a vinyard and can help me select some really nice White or Red wine. Let me know!

OOOH!!! That sounds WONDERFUL!

Do you want to be on the Wine & Cheese committee? I think that would make 3 of us coordinating the event.

Happy Valentine's Day to all!

Many thanks to Lisa for doing such a great job organizing the web page and updates. I am unable to check in often, so it is a big help to me!

Hugs and best wishes to all who are ill/injured/recuperating.

I'm trying to keep a log of all the great ideas: blenders, books, wine, etc.

I know this is about a hundred pages behind, but my favorite movies were probably the Hayley Mills movies: That Darn Cat, Pollyanna, The Moon Spinners, and (the original) The Parent Trap. Does that really date me more than the Harold Robbins novels?

Hoping to get more time in here today as I have a snow day and the swim meet is canceled! Must catch up1

Same here...it just doesn't hold the thrill that it once did...That was one of the harsh realizations I had to face about getting older...:lmao:

My wife is in Charlotte, NC and I am in Illinois. Really nothing better to do but post. Except maybe work.... Nah.

From what i hear about my job is that the county government doesn't shut down too often.

This morning they did get a two hour delayed start (but that's 2.5 for our dept)

I have to call HR tomorrow and see if i get that time too or if i loose it since i'm already on leave right now.

Another county worker? Where I work we never shut down, even through I work in a non-essential department. Even when we have a power problem and they tell us to go home we have to use our own time! We are unionized so some of the stupid things that are done are because of that.

haven't you added on that home gym yet, Todd?

Actually thats what I did mean ...We do have a home GYM ...its across from the game room ...Mirrors , Tv , Stereo and painted motivating red as well ...I love my Gym
