When we were at WDW last time, the security at Epcot was horrible - no real lines, just a bunch of people pushing and shoving to get to get there first. After the 15th person pushed in front of me, I had enough and snapped when this one woman tried to do the same. DH was like, we'll get there -relax, etc. And I said in a really loud voice - We're not going to get there if people keep cutting in front of us!

It will be myself Bev, dh Dale, and the 2 boys Luke will be 9 and Mason will be 7. We have one cruise under our belts on the Magic back in April of 2005 and are soooooo looking forward to spending more time on this magnificent ship!

Hello to all! I just wanted to delurk for a moment and introduce myself and my family. We are one of the crazies who will be sailing with all of you.
It will be myself Bev, dh Dale, and the 2 boys Luke will be 9 and Mason will be 7. We have one cruise under our belts on the Magic back in April of 2005 and are soooooo looking forward to spending more time on this magnificent ship!

You all have brought me many smiles over the last several weeks and I look forward to spending the next 18 months with you !!!!

The one time we stayed up in the Concierge rooms on the Magic, they had us meet in one of the bars, to help us make all of our reservations for our week. Hair braid, CC activites, stuff like that. It was really nice. Well, there was a guy there who had the Walt or Roy, (not sure which) and he was yelling at the CM because he had to actually come to the bar to make plans and they should have been coming to his suite to help him make plans. After all, HE was on vacation. I felt so bad for the CM she was in tears because this guy was so nasty to her.

That is just revolting. Guess what sweetie....you are treated the same as Joe Smoe in the cat 12 a few decks down when you are on the ship elsewhere like the dining rooms, the pool, the bar. What a revolting person.

Hmm....that will make the "Bring a Bottle of your Local Area wine for a Wine & Cheese Party" party a bit more complicated.

If anyone is still interested in a Wine & Cheese party, I bet we could do one by picking 2-3 varieties of wine & asking each participant to bring a bottle. Then we could compare the different vinyard's interpretations of each varietal.

Or, is that too darned educational for a vacation?

I guess a little educational activity would be OK! Unless my brain goes on vacation autopilot!

I knew I should have kept Angelina home from school today. We just received a call from the school nurse. Angelina injured her hand in gym class, nothing serious, the nurse was putting an ice pack on Angelina's hand and a splint on one of the fingers. I talked to Angelina and she said he doesn't hurt enough to come home, which is a good sign. We'll see how it goes by the time school is over.

Goodness! What were they doing in gym?

I didn't sleep worth a crapadoodle last night... let me tell ya.

I sleep like a baby until the hail/ice storm part set in around 2 am. It was pelting the roof and windows real bad....I've never heard it like that before....

I was up until at least 4 AM. Abby came up on the bed with us about that time so i let her squeeze in. She's just a big 120lb baby after all.

I drifted in and out until i heard that the kids had off today (around 5:30) and then slept fine till 8:00am....

I'll be glad when i can get back to my normal sleep schedule. I'm still exhausted from being woke up every two hours for vitals in the hospital.

The funny thing is, Angelina was just saying last night how she doesn't like volleyball and that's what they were doing in gym class, actually, that's what they will be doing for the next nine weeks. When the nurse put Angelina on the phone, the first thing Angelina said was, "Dad, I really did hurt my hand, and it wasn't on purpose."

Angelina tends to be like me, accident proned!!!

Ahh! That was my guess. Someone always gets hurt playing that.

If the weather was better, I'd tell you to take her to the doctor. At least that way she'd get a note excusing her from the next 9 weeks of volleyball.

Actually, Angelina likes gym class, she just doesn't like volleyball. Last marking period they did nine weeks of weight training, she really enjoyed that and was hoping she would be able to continue with it.

The way demand's been for the Panama Canal cruises....I've wondered what my cabin would go for on E-bay (if it could be transferred).

Now there's a thought...

if we had a "perfect" market for our cabins we could eBay our better cabins...

... and trade down to a lesser cabin pocketing the diffference!!!

No wonder DCL does not let us do any of that!​

Yes, and these are usually the same ones who try to "bend the rules", like taking a diapered child into the Mickey Pool, etc...because it's "their vacation", and they paid a LOT of money to be there, and NO ONE is going to tell them that they cannot do what they want to do!!

Yes, and then complain when it is closed down for cleaning.

Sounds like you got way more snow than we did. Only about 5" downriver. The drifts are unreal! I thought for sure they would have school today when I was awake at 3:30 AM and heard them plowing dd's school across the street!

Yeah... not to uncommon but as we usually only get one day off from work for snow a year, this is great!

From what i hear about my job is that the county government doesn't shut down too often.

This morning they did get a two hour delayed start (but that's 2.5 for our dept)

I have to call HR tomorrow and see if i get that time too or if i loose it since i'm already on leave right now.

Got the call at 4am come in to school and start plowing and cleaning the walks we recieved another 14 inches over night and only 8 degrees then about 7am we heard they cancled school bad news is it is still snowing hope everyone is keeping warm and enjoying the exercise
