In my case, I figured with a group this big I'd rather be part of the fun group instead of resenting the big group that took over my quiet little cruise.
I would hate for anyone to feel this way just because we have a talkative crew. There are some who do want to have a quiet cruise and spend time with their family due to stress in daily lives or a medical battle that they have gone thru. That is fine. Everyone cruises for a different reason and has a different idea of what the "perfect cruise" is for them. I did have several people who had never even signed up with the group or post on our thread (currently at over 70K posts & still going) come up to me because they recognized me from pictures posted to tell me that they had seen the DIS group & everyone seemed to be so nice in person & having a great time so they would join up with the next cruise group instead of sitting back. There was a thread that popped up on the main board 2 weeks before the cruise that shocked us. It was basically...who else is going on this cruise but hasn't posted to that thread? 
I hope that doesn't happen this time.
Do I need to bring both smoothie makers.. one for back uo.. I also have these great wine cooler smoothie mixers.. mmmmgood!! of good Kahluha and cream are equally as good!!
I asked my boss before we even booked - actually when we were just talking about the possibility of it happening. First he said there was no way we going to do it, then he started getting wishy washy and told me to wait and see. The morning of the 31st I walked into his office and said "Pencil it in - gone for the last two weeks of Aug 08, and by the way taking a day or two off the week before." I thought he was going to throw up!
OK, so totally off topic...
But I have a question. Would any of you lie for your boss if it kept him/her out of trouble? I mean, not a HUGE lie...
(I'll just give you a hypothetical...
) :
Let's say your boss is going through a divorce, he's recently started seeing a woman who lives across state (like a 4-5 hour drive). They take turns on the weekends coming back and forth to see each other. For business, he had to drive yesterday to a city that is between where he lives (we'll call it city A) and where she lives (city B). He was supposed to be back at work today. But he's not because he decided last night that he was going to drive the rest of the distance to city B. He calls his employee
So far, said employee has not had to field any of said phone calls, but would you lie if you were in her shoes?
OK, FINE! The employee is me!! You dragged it outa me!!
I would never want to be in that position especially if I knew the guy's wife. If she called or stopped by it would be hard for me to pretend like nothing was going on.
