442x3= 1336 x 2= 2652.. that sounds about right. But what happens when they have 2700 on a sailing (I heard that on another thread?) I suppose they squeeze in a few extra or hope some kids don't eat in the dining room? LOL

Read the DCL book its 442 each downstairs resturant each sitting. If they ever got the max I presume they could split up the extra 48, thats 8 per roatation.

:thumbsup2 Still, your point is valid, there looks to be a couple of well occupied Disboard dining rooms.

Thanks - I'm totally math incapicitated today for some reason (can you say STRESS!), which is why I triple checked it on the adding machine.

Okay, got to get some real work done and get rid of the stress.

...........
Hope my information helps, its nice to have done it and give some help what happened before it really will be a great trip but if you blink you will miss something.

Heavy snow locally in London today all schools closed locally, and train problems.

For thoose who know my daughter had an ear operation Wedensday morning and hence I didnt post yesterday at all, but went well so we are home early even with snow everywhere.

Andy... wow! Hope your daughter recovers normally.... no ear infections now...!

I'm sure it has already been mentioned - but I reaffirm that we're all glad to hear it "went well" and by implication that shes' on the mend...

I have already heard of people, using TA's that had gty and received room assignments. TA's are talking about trying to get assigned staterooms (including my own, but that was supposed to happen Sunday and I haven't heard a word about it yet). But my point is that some have already received room assignments who were on gty. You'd think they'd first give room assignments to those where a family is split up in two or more rooms but I guess maybe not... the actual reservations DO have an adult in each room. I just hope we don't have to actually sleep that way. LOL
Although that might not be as bad an idea as I think. DH can snore in the other room but I get the balcony by gosh! (but seriously, it would be a pain to have our rooms far away where we HAD to sleep apart plus all the logistics of getting ready for things in seperate rooms far apart and such.)

I'm going back to what I've said earlier - I think DCL for whatever reason has dropped the ball on this one. I've decided not to worry because it will work out in the end, but I only have one room. I'll gladly switch with you if our 6 is nearer to your 11.

A few people have posted that, my guess it was T/A's doing that, say a T/a issued 200+ quotes some will be GTY some assigned rooms, if an Assigned room didnt pay the deposit, and its the same Cat as another cruiser with the same t/a with a GTY, I presume the T/A could swap it.

I do not think there will be wholesale assignments, but the point is well made if someone has a specialrequest like three adjoining rooms/ connecting rooms and that becomes available it would be logical to assign that then, but sinlge room bookings would be left to give max flexibility. IMHO

Do people request servers in the dining rooms?

Yes they do - I think you can have the request added to your ressie and then if it doesn't come through can see about changing it on board.

Andrew - yet again you are the voice of reason and calm in these rough sea's. Thanks for all the info and words of wisdom.

Thanks! BF and I had a great server last Aug and if he is still there we would like to have him again. I know we may not and he may not even be there but we can try then!

Andrew--I hope Alice recovers quickly....

Be careful out there!

It's been BRUTAL out there all morning. Just got in for lunch and I'm ready to call it a day already!!! At least I had a nice cup of hot chocolate waiting for me. This is a job for the younger folks, I'm getting too old for this stuff!!! :lmao:

I was wondering about that, but am having trouble with the math. 200 per dining room x 3 dining room is 600 per seating. 2 seatings would be 1,200. Could it actually be 400 per dining room?:confused3

442 seats in each

Ahhh.....

... so there is probably room for my group of 30 in the DIS early seating....

... unless we're to be blocked from all DIS events.....

C'mon... can we join the fun? We promise to be at least half decent!!!

<chuckles>

Andy--I don't know how you do it. I couldn't stand it for 5 min. waiting at the bus stop this morning. I love Spring, and hope it'll be here soon!

Good morning all! I wont be able to catch up on the posting frenzy to 14000 last night for a while. DS needed to get an appointment today because of a strange rash on his thighs and he woke up this morning with a sore throat that wont let him swallow anything. There goes my plans for the day...including getting my license renewed. At least there is tomorrow. Catch ya'll later!

:) hope he is feeling better soon!!!:)
