Ummm....A mascot represents you.
But if the Wenches think they look like men, then I guess that would be o.k.
We know you all want to be one of the guys.![]()
Um no! Maybe a mascot for the scabbies but I think the wenches should have somebody tall, dark, handsome, & muscular for a mascot!![]()
Hi everyone - just got caught up again... This working all day and then chaufering around DS7 really cuts into DIS time!![]()
Would you believe that last night DH noticed that DCL never charged our VISA for the deposit on our "placeholder" cruise from our Jan13 Western rebooking? Fortunately, it doesn't impact this Pirate cruise at all -but it seems to be the same problem some folks here had in December and I saw another post from the week before we sailed. They just failed to charge our card and then dropped the ressie! I called today and a supervisor has "reinstated" my reservation but their procedures require that they email Leslie on the Magic to confirm that we did make the reservation onboard with her. The supervisor is supposed to call me back tomorrow with the OK to proceed and then get our VISA number for the deposit. Since we are one of the few that totally lucked out and were allowed to fill out a form on board that added us to IC's list AND we lucked out in that IC actually did their job and had a ressie in the system for us - this placeholder reservation isn't vitally important. We are considering keeping it so we can book a cruise when 2009 becomes available and move this ressie - but maybe not - I sort of hate to let DCL hold my deposit cash for that long ... Anyway, we decided to make DCL fix it just because they shouldn't be making this type of mistake in the first place! We happened to notice what happened, but what about people who book it and then don't really pay any attention to it for months since the next cruise is so far off?
The really weird bit is that when I called the Castaway Club number this evening to take care of this (too busy at work today to call from there) I actually got the same CM that I talked to on the 30th. I had called then to find out why IC had never called us, since Leslie (on board booking) had told us when we filled out the form that we would be called "before the 31st". Of course, I knew from the DIS that almost no one seemed to have been called - but I called and played dumb. He was really trying to help and tried to tell us to just wait and IC would call in a few days - of course, we didn't believe him and joined the frantic calling on the 31st with everyone else - but when we finally got through, DCL had our reservation in the system and we just had to confirm we wanted it and pay the deposit. I felt so bad watching all the panic here that day when it worked out so perfectly for us - I don't know why lady luck smiled on us this time, we aren't usually all that lucky with stuff!
Anyway - I guess its sort of a good and bad contrast story: DCL really did great for us for this cruiseand totally screwed up our other booking
.
Well, it looks like LOST is finally over. I don't watch it since I can't handle suspense or scary stuff at all (I never watch anything that might bother "more sensitive viewers") and DH was watching it in our bedroom. Now that the TV is off, I'm going to go collapse. Thankfully, tomorrow should be less hectic (except that I am going to start setting up the new PC's at work so who knows what that will bring ...)
Night-night All!

OK we have 2 hours to hit the next 000 before I leave for my hockey game. LOVE adult hockey times. I have the ugly game tonight - 10:15-11:15 pm.![]()
Oy is right!
you're already on my address book.![]()
All these stories about odd phone habits reminds me of the funniest conference call I've ever been on. Picture about 8 people sitting in a conference room conversing with a 9th person who has called in on a cell phone. The cell phone caller was in an airport getting ready to hop on a plane. At some point she told us to hold on for a minute...while she put the phone in the bin to go through TSA screening! The call lasted until after she boarded and we had all placed our drink orders with the flight attendant.

Now you're talking! Looks like a fine symbol to me!![]()
Where's Stacey? I haven't seen her around for awhile. Is she on a break for some reason?
Nah, he doesn't do it for me. LOL (I know you think by now I'm just being difficult but seriously... too much of a baby face/young/etc. for me. I'm all about JS.)Now you're talking! Looks like a fine symbol to me!![]()
Um, what? I hope her break isn't too long and I hope everything is okay.Yes, Stacey told me that she was taking a break to catch up on the house, work, & marriage.![]()
Pamela,
Exact same thing happened to us. We were on the 1/13 Western and we actually booked a dummy date to have for xfering to the repo (per Leslie's advise) and filled out the sheet.
The dummy date one's deposit never got applied. When I called on 2/2, the CM was beside herself that we had a ressie that old without a deposit. I told it wasn't my fault they didn't charge it.
Then she found that we had one filled off of the forms Leslie had us fill out once the repo was announced.
Since it didn't look like IC was filling any requests, we called in on 1/31. However, we didn't think to ask about the request we put in. I just moved the dummy date.
Well, we ended up keeping the one booked on 1/31, a cat 9, instead of the one IC pulled for us, a cat 7. We figured we'd save the $ for using on the boat. The balcony would be nice going through the Canal, but for one day, I'll save the $1,900. The Cat 7 for 2A and 1C(8) was $7,100. We got the 9 for $5,200.
Not sure how that pricing compares or whether we got tier 1 pricing or not.
Did you get what you wanted off the form and how was the pricing?
Nah, he doesn't do it for me. LOL (I know you think by now I'm just being difficult but seriously... too much of a baby face/young/etc. for me. I'm all about JS.)
"Mascot: A person, animal or object believed to bring good luck, especially one used as a symbol for an organization such as a sports team". Doesn't say it has to look like us...just symbolize us. A handsome pirate could symbolize a baudy wench now couldn't he?![]()
