Help - I need clarification - any help appreciated - as I am lurking, jumping and just plain being nosy -

1. - Who is the Captain? I know of Capt Crash - met him - your a riot but can I assume you all are not referring to him?

2. - Wenches or Swabies- honorary or do titles need to be earned?

3. - What prizes do you get? Just recognition or something inserted into your sig?

4. - Does the tag fairy do it or the moderator?

and

5. - With this thread - do we only have 1 moderator? Do I need to look over my shoulder for big brother? Thus I have to behave myself?

Wenches = women, Swabbies = men

Just bragging rights when you get a pirate, which is a 000 post (1000, 2000, 3000, etc). A mini pirate is a 00 post.

Lisa, lbgraves, is a moderator on the cruise board and she is also cruising with us. So we think of her as our own private mod.......and we keep her busy too....

Oh - another person after my own heart.

We too are on 2nd seating. And we have another party who remains unnamed already linked to us. So there's 4 more to be added to late seating. We asked for 8:15 so lets see what they give us. Last time I asked for 8:30 and got 8:00 and we ended up at a table of 14 - but we had the best of times! LOL

Anyway, as we get closer to sailing date maybe we can consider linking or working something out.

The group for late dining will be getting 8 pm.

Oh yeah - forgot the most important one-

How can you tell how many bytes or whatever is in my sig line? Remember - I am techno phobic so simple is better.

And if I'm over - can someone warn me please??????

Don't worry about your sig....our pirate banners are all in compliance.


But to find the bytes, right click on the photo and select properties, you'll see the size listed.

Well...

1st) I believe DISNEYVEGAS1 (Todd) is "the Captain" on account of his entertaining obsessive prescence and his amazing Jack Sparrow costume. It seems most folks referring to me simply use "Crash" or ... for those who really know me ... they sometimes use Tom (or my spouses' real name).

#2) Frankly I would like to know as well... but I do believe the "true" pirates of the thread are those who sieze any 1000th posting on the thread. And there must be something super special for those who sieze the 10,000th postings. Someone correct me if I am mistaken....

#3) I believe you'll get an in-room massage from one of the princesses or Tarzan... <chcukles> .... again, your guess is as good as mine. Otherwise I believe some are sort of keeping track of it - especially those who earned the mile-markers. No prizes have been actually spoken of - so perhaps we can form a prize creation committee...???

#4) The Tag Fairy is a secret entity. I do NOT think the tag fairy is our moderator ... but then again, who knows? I heard though that you need posting volume in the general discussion areas - not cruise meets - to get the attention of a tag fairy. I have the vast majority of my postings in cruise meets and NO tag fairy attention.

#5) Naww.... I think it's LBGraves' coverage mostly. Unless Lisa takes a break or vacation from covering. Seeing as shes' reserved on our sailing it makes sense that she would be covering our thread. I know she has been covering other cruise meet threads - so I think Lisa is one of several who monitor and regulate the cruise meet arena.

So looking back on my answers - there's not much I really know... but at least I didn't make stuff up!

So I'm gonna start looking backwards to try and catch up on todays spat of pirate mischief!

Actually, you never know where the TF may find you. My first tag was one that I gave myself after so many people refered to me that way due to my DD's picture in my sig for years in her Cinderella gown. The TF colorized it when she gave me the other tag...which was written in our meets thread in the middle of posting frenzies like what we experience here. I have no idea how it was found. The kids had both been ill and others were asking how they were feeling. I said that the good news is that they were feeling better but the bad news is they are driving me nuts!
