Hi Gang,

I have a suggestion for those who would like to do both the "Wenches Brunch" and have a brunch w/DH's - book the ressie in DH's name - then you'll be able to join the wenches - no duplication.
In fact, the Palo manager doesn't care about multiples at all - its the DCL Inventory Control - their goal is to allow as many as possible to enjoy Palo!
Just a thought.

Let me know when you're planning on the pack & ship.... I could make a day trip of it. :thumbsup2

Esteri,
Depending on when you are planning to pack & ship - I'm w/Sara - I too will come up - but I'll be in SoCal until mid June.
We can have a packing party!!!

I don't know about the rest of you but I started my packing list and my non clothes list is much longer then my clothes list. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Things like over the door hanger, all the toiletries for 4 people, hats, sunglasses, etc really adds up

I like to start my list early and add on to it as I remember things but the problem is that I start adding too much. Need to scale it down some before the TOAL date rolls around.

I am not going to overpack! I am not going to overpack!
:rotfl:

So who else has started their packing list or am I the only looney?

Welcome back! Glad to hear you had a good time.

What type of little gifties were put in the extenders on the Med Cruise? Just to give us newbies an idea.

Really, what people gave out ranged a lot -- from candy, little lotions, postcards, to personalized magnets, notepads, etc. One very clever person gave a little "cruise emergency kit" with items we might have forgotten to pack -- it had a clothespin, bandaids, mints, etc.

Sounds like a few of us might be in the same boat! Would anyone consider doing a couple's brunch? Would anyone like me to plan one?

I'd come. I'm in the same boat (if you'll pardon the pun) as you. DH loves to show up & if I plan something without him, he'll pout for days (OK, maybe minutes, but still).

Couldn't we all aim for the same time/day and just ask them to seat us all in the same area?

But won't they be using the cabin ressie numbers to cancel duplicate reservations :confused3

When I reserved the room, they would not confirm I had it (weddings & wedding renewal parties have priority) until 30 days out, so all that were interested in the group brunch room made a ressie for the same day/time at the 90 day mark in case we didn't get it. We were going to do just that - ask to be seated as close together as possible. I was able to make a ressie for myself, but cancelled it when I was able to confirmed the room.

My DH would do more than pout if his brunch ressie got cancelled :headache:

Hey I'm the Drug Dealer. :stir:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I am not against drinking and do have an occasional glass of wine, but because of health issues I rarely drink. I was just trying to be amusing (unsuccessfully I guess).

My DH also has to keep his alcohol consumption down due to health concerns. Nice always having a designated driver:thumbsup2 He makes sure I make it back to my stateroom:rolleyes1

We are now into our year that our voyage is going to happen and time will now start to move real fast and before we lose track of anything I just want to Thank EVERYONE for there help with everything from the website to Ts**ts to bus schedule and information along with setting up excursions and so forth . Without Everyone this wouldnt be as enjoyable , I look forward to cruiseing with all of you and being your Captain , So man the braces we need full wind in our sails , Now .... Show me that Horizon ....

I definitely put in for tea, but I asked DH how he would feel if I went to brunch without him & he said, "I don't care". But to me that means he doesn't have the capacity to think that far ahead & when it actually comes time for me to head off to brunch he'll say, "You mean I'm not invited to this?"

Seriously I'm not kidding! He can not discuss a trip with me until we are in the car heading to the airport & then he has a million questions & I am NOT in the mood to discuss it since I am exausted from having packed everything at the last minute & slept about an hour. I would like to say it won't happen this time & I'll be more prepared, but let's get real here. Anyway all in all...it makes for a fun ride! :sad2:

Same thing with my DH;)

I thought it was one Palo (dinner/brunch/tea) per reservation for on-line reserving. I figured I could send DH (Darren) to the designated spot to get an additional ressie when we board:confused3

You know - I don't think so. Last Aug. there were people travelling together - same room/same ressie # but diff. names. One made separate ressies for Palo and the other for the private room brunch and they didn't get cancelled. But I'm not sure how it all works or doesn't!!!

By the way - the private room hold 14 people = 7 couples.

I've never had brunch other than w/group so I don't know if they can put tables close together in the main room for a number of couples that want to brunch on the same day.

My DH isn't interested in brunch - but definately wants to have dinner @ Palo's.

When we went our last cruise, I booked both Dinner and Brunch. Don't like tea. ;)

A couples brunch sounds like a good idea:thumbsup2

Then I could do the Wenches Tea and the Couples Brunch:cloud9:

This will be our first time on the Magic, but we loved the Brunch and Dinner last time we cruised:banana:

I am more of a tea drinker than my DH (Darren) is. He drinks mostly diet Coke. Lots of diet coke:rolleyes: The servers in restaurants are always running trying to keep his glass full:rotfl:

I've started mine. I was so obsessed about it that I broke it down to toiletries, then to hair, body, etc.:rotfl2:

I'm not overpacking either.

 Hi Becky

I had to go back and read the thread title, I wasn't sure if I was on the August 08 Repo thread, or the October 09 BOB thread.............:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I love the idea of a couple's brunch - either planned event or we just pick a day/time and all try to get ressies and get seated together...

I am hoping to do the Wenches Tea, but I need to check with DH that he won't miss going to Tea - it is something we have done every cruise because I LOVE going to Tea. (It's my mother's fault - she started taking me to Tea when I was a child! The best was at Harrods in London when I was 13 :thumbsup2 )

Hey Diane

I also like the idea of a couples brunch! Brendan loved the brunch if I went with out him he would get cranky! We would be interested!
