You can sit in a big comfy chair with a drink in your hand while crazy people entertain you. What's not to like? My DH isn't a big fan of clubs/bars/etc. & he loves the Adventurer's Club.

Heck your Cat 4 is going to look like a palace compared to my Cat 10!
I was going to suggest driving PCH, but I'm not sure how fun that would be dragging a pop up.

I haven't been there, but you could also head south from Yellowstone to Grand Teton. I've heard good things. Crater Lake NP in Oregon is also beautiful.

OK, we'll hit the Adventurers Club on our first night there. That way, if we like it we can go back! We're not big fans of clubs - so the fact your DH likes it is encouraging. :goodvibes

What's PCH?? I'm only drigging the pop up from campground to campground. We'll set up "base camp" for a while and go from there. I don't think I'll have enough time for the Tetons, I gave them up to spend a week driving the OR coast on the way home. Looking for a nice mix of mountains, rain forest, and beach - ya know? I think I'm closing in on a tentative itinerary. :thumbsup2

One photo for a family of 4 laundry...... that sounds like a deal!

Hey Chrissie - for two photos, do you fold?? (Count me in!)

Chrissie on the TOAL... :laundy:

Hi everyone! We are back from vacation and now that it is 2008 it is truly time to start planning mode for our TOAL!

Wendy (smeecanada) has volunteered to help with organizing names of those who want to find out more about possible bus service from the DL hotels to the port. I'm sure there were some posts back there somewhere about it, but I will never find the time to go back and "ketchup". . . Tom, the almighty Webmaster, could you please add smeecanada and Grandmax3 to the "bus to port committee"?

Chris, I will PM you so that we can coordinate finding out some prices per person, based on how many people sign up. I believe you said your daughter had some information on this, right?

Once we get some prices, we will report back, and perhaps Wendy can keep track of who is signing up . . .

I will report (from our New Year's trip) that a taxi from Long Beach airport (near the port) to Disneyland is right around $50, for up to 4 people, having just done that . . . so we will try to post other alternatives and what the cost is as well as the chartered bus information.

I wish it is was nice and warm in California... Expecting more rain. At least I get to work from home today in my jammies and robe. :goodvibes

Fruit is usually okay if you peel it and wash the outside with a wipe.:headache: A definite no was salads. :sad2:

 Good Morning All

Update: After I shut my laptop down last night, my brother Pete called and said the doc believes Charles trouble yesterday was caused by asthma.

At least it's comforting to have some sort of answer, which is treatable. :grouphug:

Thanks for the kind words Tom... but I'm only partially back. Still dealing with this lingering cough and the annoying sensation. It seems like I'm on the cusp of recovering then it kind of erupts. Sometimes when I need to really engage in coversation in a call. So, I'm gonna see a doc about knocking this down with some medications. That'll have to wait til I get bak from Vegas though. Tomorrow I'm heading out for a couple nites to hook up with some old friends for a "guy's only" visit to CES (consumer electronics show). I'll get to check out the latest and possibly some emerging toys and gizmos... and in particular I look forward to checking out the digital imagine exhibits. It should be fun... as we've got tickets for a show and I have free lunch vouchers! Woo Hoooo! :happytv:

Anyways, I wanna know WHO started with the BUGS in this forum? I've only got ONE on my siggy... this bug crept on from another seedy DIS thread I was reading the other day... <wink> And it seems Toms' got a bug INFESTATION going in his prior posting... maybe it's a 2008 BUG...?

I just bit the bullet and got my 1st Hep A shot today. The cost was $35 for consultaion, $95 shot and $15 for administrative. Total of $145 for each of us. The second shot will be in 6 months which will make it a life time shot!!! We first went to see our internist and asked if necessary. She thought it was a VERY good idea to at least get the Hep A shot. I called Blue Cross and we could only find one PPO in the entire state to do it. As long as there is a Doctor in the office, Blue Cross covers it at a 100%. I will keep you informed. I am keeping my fingers crossed. I was warned about no water from any of the places we are going to or fruit and ice cubes. I was told that in some countries, the bottled water is reused and sealed with the country's own unfiltered water. I was told to not even buy bottled water in a foreign country.

My insurance would not cover a travel clinic ever!!!:headache:

Fruit is usually okay if you peel it and wash the outside with a wipe.:headache: A definite no was salads. :sad2:

The shot did hurt a little.:sad2:

We have Independence Blue Cross. They consider the Hep shots as for travelers and as such, won't pay a dime of it.
My Internist didn't seem to think it was neccessary. :confused3
