That is so pretty! You can tell that is one proud pooch.

He also knows how spoiled he is.:rotfl2: He is still training me.:rolleyes1 We just made arrangements for Chuck's Dad & Aunt to come and stay here while we are on the cruise. It is a HUGE relief because Dante gets very stressed when Mom is gone. 15 days will be the longest for him and will be better served if he is in his own enviroment. They are coming from Missi. and chuck's Aunt is in a wheel chair. They met Dante in Aug. and he was a comfort to Aunt Joyce.:goodvibes

I was told months ago when DCL announced the easy check-in that it was an experiment in progress. Because I have transfers...... not staying at a Disney resort...... or leaving from Orlando Airport......for the East Bound Panama.....what do I do????? :confused3 :confused3 I was told we have months and it will be decided in the future. I guess I would have to tell our Dreams Agent of my flight numbers. I guess we just need time to let DCL figure out the logistics from California.:thumbsup2

I just sent dreams an email stating I need to cancel the one transfer from LA to port. I still need the transfer from pier to Orlando airport though. Wonder how that will be for me?:confused3
I am hoping to look into flights today............

I'm really hoping it doesn't arrive or it is all ok for flights to leave, Robert (and his Mum) are heading home from London on Saturday after being away for 5 weeks so I'm really hoping they get home ok without delays.

I'm fed up with doing all these household chores on my own, oh and I did miss him just a little tiny bit :rotfl:

Well good news, whilst its cold it didnt happen and will warm up a little now.

In honor of having the Cartagena info up...

Wow that is some very nice relatives!
My parents had adopted 2 geriatric Dauchasands- 1 from a neighbor that could not take care of him and 1 from the pound. They both came from neglected backgrounds. My parents had "Boris" since 2001 and got all his health issues resolved by the time they adopted Bridgette in 2005. Bridgette's health issues were more serious. They tried so hard to keep her alive until Christmas but it was not to be. :sad1: My parents were devastated.
Now since Bridgette had such health issues they have always paid a Vet asst to stay at their house while they traveled.
Well, they are going on a cruise for a week in March, the 15 day TOAL cruise w/ us in August and a 115 day world cruise next January.
I have a large Lab (see below) and Boris is blind. They brought him over New Years day to see if Boris would be ok in our house and with Jasmine (lab) when they were gone. It was a little tricky as he constantly got stuck behind things but I think we are going to try to keep him in March.
The real trick will be keeping him for 4 months while they cruise the world. I better get REALLY good souvenirs when they come back.:)

I heard that Midwest Express will be having a sale for 2008 flights on Sunday (I think?). I'll be looking at booking then.

**Dis-Meet Party Update**

I am putting a deposit on the clubhouse tomorrow. Date & time are set !
March 30,2008 Starts at 12:00 PM.

I am only going to allow 50 people or a total of 10 teams to participate.
If only 1 person from a family attends that is one team. 5 people from one family is still one team. This way every family will get a treasure. I will also have prizes for 1st 2nd & 3rd place.

Please PM me if interested. I will update the totals as I get them.

I need to set a deadline................PM me by February 1, 2008. This will help me with the planning of food and prizes. :)

Getting it on the ship is no problem. Our last visit to our favorite Napa Winery they gave us a "free" shipping case (free after buying a case of wine).

.

So what's your favorite winery???

I haven't needed the shipping boxes in the past since it's just a short drive home. But I may need to take a trip to my favorite winery to stock up and get a shipping box.

Wow, first can't imagine a 115 day cruise. Kudo's to them. I just hope our family " consider's" us still family after the cruise.:rotfl2: Dante isn't a 2 year old dog he is a 2 year old CHILD. Very demanding and very tiring. On the cruise it will be the 2nd anniversary of my MIL's passing. We were actually on the Magic when she passed away. My FIL now takes cares of his ill sister. She moved in with him. We thought it would be good for them to not be in town during that time.

I often wondered what effect it will have on our family on the date........I will keep Chuck busy and make the best of it. It was one of the only reasons why I didn't want to book this cruise.

I will never forget that we didn't get a chance to have a goodbye breakfast with everyone because we had turned on our cell phones that morning. We were walking off the ship with tears streaming down our face and I can imagine the cm's thinking wow they really don't want to leave.

We now take the lesson...........we never turn on our phones till we are out of the port.

Afternoon pirates..

happy belated bday Pam..

gonna ketchup a bit and be back.. anything important to note???

In Napa - V Sattui
Winery of the year, year after year - never had a bad wine of any sort from them. Our favorite trick is to get their Muscat and let it sit around for 3-5 years (usually cause we forgot about it) - not only does the wine hold up for that long, but it's excellent! Don't bother looking in the store for them - you can only get it direct from the winery. Thus, the free shipping box... Of course, being local - you probably already knew that. :rotfl: DH thought I was nuts when I told him to get the free shipping box. "But we're just going home." I had to remind him it would be handy for the cruise. :sad2:

For sparkling wine we like Chandon (just down the road) - they have some very nice wines that aren't so dry your teeth squeek. Try the rose sparkling - yummy! (don't know if they offer free shipping boxes or not - we never get that much)

In WA - Terra Blanca
Yakima Valley. Makes awesome reds. Not a lot of tannin. I'm less thirlled with their Chard. But, hey, their winery dog is one of ours, so we visit a lot.

1) Tell us something about your spouse we probably don't know...?
He has 5 brothers !

2) Have you considered any new Years' resolutions? If so, would you like to share them?
I really don't bother with this.

3) When you proposed or were proposed to last - what was passing through your mind silently? Anything in particular worth sharing?
He wrote something that involved my children and proposed in front of my kids. Not a dry eye, it was so sweet.

4) If you have a PET... what did he or she do the last time they were "naughty"?

Who? Dante...........never he is perfect.:rotfl2:

5) When was the last time you were sick more or less? What did you comedown with?

Whenever I get sick, I get it bad ! I got a cold/virus thingy after I came back from cruise a couple of weeks ago.

6) When was the last time you got a ticket (moving violation, infraction or parking)

I am proud to say NEVER.

7) And for thefinal question posed in 2007 ... by popular demand.... Tell us something about you we (probably) don't know... !

Back in NY and some years ago......I was the co-chair for the March of Dimes Walk America and tripled the amount of money raised in prev. years.

Wow- what a high to a low. That is sad. True that there is not anything that could have been done at that time.
We went on an Alaskan cruise in summer '06. My Grandmother was not doing well and we were worried as there were over 30 members of her family together on this cruise. Basically all her kids and grandkids. Turns out she did not pass for another 7 months so we did not have to deal with "what if".

Happy Belated Birthday to Diane & Pam

Esteri.. the wineries sound wonderful.. all we have around here is the fruit wine syurpy stuff in Wisconsin..

but I was thinking about asking at our local wine store and see if he had shipping boxes.. and could recommend some wines to bring..

Hi everyone! It's been a while. Glad to see everyone is still here. I finally got web access at work again so I can check out what's going on again.

Hello Everyone !
I am tired just thinking about everything I need to get done in the next 2 days. I will be on and off the dis. I have party updates to post.

I need to find a lawyer  Could I possibly ask Tom something off the Q---T? Sending you a PM.:rolleyes1

Wanted to post this earlier but we know how that goes...........this is the sweater that Grandma made Dante.

Starting next week no more working from home.:sad1: That's why I am taking these 2 days off. I will be working from office, I am still in this shoe thingy for at least another 4 weeks. The kid that jumped on my foot is slowing down my progress.

Looking back on it now, I wish we did have breakfast with everyone but our emotions were raw and we were in shock. I think we also learned how to deal with the "what if" in almost any situation. We now both have wills. We didn't before, I also have written personal letters that are sealed in a big envelope.
Sorry about your Grandmother's passing but find comfort in the timing, if you know what I mean. They say time heals, we have gone through all the first's of not having her here, which is so difficult. Last Christmas I found a present I had put away for her. I took it to a nursing home. Everyone heals in there own way, for us it's a day, week, month at a time.

He will growl at you when you try and take it off. Grandma made it for him. Funny story...........Grandma ( my mom ) called here Christmas eve and asked if Dante could open his present early because she was excited to hear of his reaction. I said o.k but what about Brooke? Can she open her gifts from you? Her reply...........no she has to wait till Christmas.:rotfl2:

So Dante opened it up while on the phone and that didn't sit well with Brooke.
