Hey Crew -
Well, we're finally back from my parents and I have all my regular equipment back. :lovestruc

Santa left Issac (DS6) a really cool card in his stocking this year. Don't know if you remember that Issac insisted on giving Santa his card key from the Magic last year so that Santa could go on a cruise. Well, here's the reply...

Jakob's (DS10) response when he was reading the card to Issac was "Dude! The Panama Canal!" He later asked if he could take it to school. Aparently the 5th grade has been discussing the existance or non-existance of Santa, and Jakob believes this is evidence - of Santa's existance. :santa:

We're having a quiet New Year at home. Frozen pizzas, beer for dad, rum for mom (Argh! pirate: ), apple cider for the under 21 crowd, and watching the AF vs Cal game (Armed Forces Bowl) that DH recorded earlier. It's 21-7 AF, so DH is pretty happy. I sneaked a look at the results online - and I fear he won't stay that way. :sad2:

May 2008 be everything you hope of it.

How could it be so terrible? We're going on a CRUISE!!

I've been thinking (don't hurt yourself Deb!)....I don't really relish the thought of spending $70.00 to have my hair done in the spa and I'm not very skilled at doing hair and make-up. puckerup: If I were to bring my curling iron and posssibly some make-up, is there any wench that would be willing to help me out? Maybe we could have our version of a "Princess Party". princess: I'll volunteer our stateroom.

Debi, I find that as soon as I walk out on an outside deck the wind just whips my hair to pieces. Most of the time you'll find me with a small headband just to keep my hair out of my eyes. First cruise I brought my hot curlers and I haven't bothered since. But I would be glad to assist you.:)

Happy New Year Everyone!
I have been lurking and have seen everyone's beautiful dresses and thought I would share mine.

Dress 1 I wore on our Western this year, and the only issue I have with it is that it is too short. It comes up to my ankles in the front and drapes down in the back. It doesn't look bad, and it does help not having to trip over it while walking. Although I had to hold the back of it a little as the train part of it kept getting stepped on. It is very disney though, that's what I love about it most.

Everyone have a wonderful and safe evening tonight.
That is very pretty Becky.:goodvibes

Deb, I can't see your pictures. Only the one of Kev, but not the other 2.

Are you possibly moving them in photobucket? That will break the link and you'll have to get a new one. Other than that, not sure why I can't see them.

I can't see them either:confused3

I'll most likely wear this one again for Semi Formal night. I got it at Ross for less than $25.00!

You got a deal on that one! I like it too:)

I wish you health, I wish you wealth, and happiness galore.
I wish you luck for you and friends;
What could I wish you more?
May your joys be as deep as the oceans,
Your troubles as light as its foam.
And may you find, sweet peace of mind,
Were ever you may roam.

Lorri I am pirate: your wish!!:goodvibes Happy New Year Everyone!

Hi All,

Hazel and I just arrived home from Red Lobster. We were about halfway done our meal when one of my mom's cousins came in with her husband. This couple also happens to be my Godparents. We had no idea they were planning on eating at Red Lobster tonight. Not only that, but they were also seated at the table next to Hazel and I.

OK, everyone start singing: It's a Small World Afterall..................:lmao:

Ah Andy, I think it was you who got that stuck in my head last time:lmao:

Great deal and great dress! I love the color, and I think I have the same shoes.

Even though I haven't stopped by in a long time, I still think of you guys and I can't believe how time has flown since we first booked this cruise.:scared1: Anyway, I wanted to come by and wish everybody a very Happy and Healthy 2008!!!

Esteri, that is a great way to present the gift! And I have to agree I think that is proof positive there is a Santa:goodvibes

SNOW!:scared1:

In London on Thursday!:santa:

Did I mention how much I love summer...? I'm sitting with the back door open and a warm breeze coming through the house, the sun is streaming in and the furkids are all flat out asleep. Sounds like heaven to me but enjoy the snow :rotfl2:

A little video from Christmas morning. This should be titled "What NOT to do when you have a skull fracture!" I was so afraid he was going to hurt himself. He did have to rest for an hour before being able to play though.

LOL!! :rotfl: :goodvibes :goodvibes

Not certain how good I am with a curling iron - but I'm very good at french braids, ropes, rolls, twists, etc. I make a point of never wearing my hair the same way twice in a week - and since I have fairly long hair, I've have to learn a lot of different "dos". :) Happy to help. Hopeless with makeup.

Yeah, I guess you wouldn't know, although I've mentioned chunks of it during the last 11 months! We rented a cabin in Talkeetna, Alaska & spent the day hanging out with the locals. We went sledding, played in the snow on the river, had family-style dinner with the folks staying at the Talkeetna Roadhouse, then we went to a bar/restaurant & played ping pong and pool. I love Talkeetna, I love the locals, it was just great fun. We want to retire-retire there (as opposed to military retire). It was just a really good, really low-key, but really fun New Year's Eve. And Talkeetna is so small that we didn't have to worry about driving.

Cool! Literally and figureatively :rotfl2:

We've been thinking about spending Xmas at the family retreat in the WA mountains. The only way in this time of year is by snowmobile. With the storm they got this year during Xmas - well - we're still thinking.
.

I go on TOAL THIS YEAR!!!!!!

That is so funny, Mum and I were chatting earlier and we were saying "when we go to Disney this year" and "we cruise this year" and "we can change our DVC ressie to another resort next month" - its all becoming more real!

I'm so excited!

Now I have to think of something good for my next milestone:woohoo:
I always missed them. I hit the 500/veteran during a pirate run- I think:confused3

Nope. Still can't see either one of Grampa, only Kev.

Me thinks you all will see many of my outfits do double duty.

Me neither, no pics but I did see them later on. Yes Kev does look very much like him
I think alot of us will be recycling our wardrobe. Just too much to travel with.

Well it is 11:24 and soon we will be into 2008. I hope every one has a healthy Happy New Year.

:cool1:
Me too and just because I'm paranoid. The date we are in Aruba is 08/28/08 correct ? I have this nightmare that I book the wrong date and by the time I figure it out it is too late:eek:

Too funny! I was too. I must have checked the calendar 100 times. :lmao:

Ok, now I don't feel so bad inviting myself to someone's party;) Actually if they aren't going to have the party they should give out those party packs, especially to DIS people who ask :thumbsup2

Yeah- What you said! ;)

:yay: Can't wait to see that black and white dress:goodvibes

2008 in NY- Good enough for me (can't say up til midnight CST anyway) :rotfl2:
