Evening All !!

My sincere apologies for not being here for so long but I have been so busy with work since we came back from WDW. I have been involved in a committee that has been maintaining our Government department business throughout a national postal strike that took me all the way up to the end of November. Since then I have been away from home for lots of meetings as the Government is introducing a new Social Security benefit next year and I am involved in the set-up for this.

DAVID!!!!! You just do not know how good it is to *see* you!!!!!

And tell Helen that SHE could have come here to visit us!

I'm glad that YOU have some time off now BUT, I'm not happy that nearly the rest of England has the time off!!! It is REALLY messing with Jon and the time he can take off! LOL!

He will be in North Hampton the last couple of weeks of January. Since this trip will have to be all business he is hoping that his next trip he can make a detour to see y'all! And then the next thing we want to do is for all of us (or just Sam depending on the time of year) to be able to go over!

Well, I am trying to get my rear in gear and head to work early this morning. We are celebrating Christmas today at 2 with my dysfunctional side of the family. Adam keeps asking not to go. He got his brow pierced yesterday and he is worried they will tease him.----I told him he should not have had it done then. (If only I would have thought of that excuse along with the 10 other ones I gave him ) ST

I'm assuming he got it pierced so people would notice......

When oldest ds was about 15 or 16 one of his friends let his hair grow and then had it braided. When I saw it for the first time (I had know this boy for about 8 or 9yrs) I said *Why did you do your hair like a girl?* DS was so angry --- I told him that the only reason Joe did it was for people to notice and I gave him what he wanted.... I noticed.

I must confess...

.... at first I thought it was a HOAX that our Counselor and Nutmeg dispensor were celebrating birthdays on the SAME date... but I guess if ANDY sez its' true then it is. SO ,.... with THAT in mind may I bid you BOTH a wonderus and happy BIRTHDAY.

Having said that... now, I regretfully have to declare I've but ONE cake to give you guys. It shall go to he who "prevails below"...

I only used this animation because I had difficulty finding two clowns animated in a pie fight! And please don't ask me who's wearin' blue or otherwise above... all I know is one keeps spoutin' off epitaphs about incarceration while the other one weeps throwin' handfuls of nutmeg in between the cosmic blasting and force shield poppin'!

I work for a company that has all personal data on over 10 milion people and you would not believe the security training/warnings we go through on a weekly basis. If we "lost" employee data our $9 billion company would die overnight. I cannot imagine a worse feeling for the people responsible.

Arlene, I can only remember having one birthday party as a kid. It was usually too hard to get it organized since we were always out of school. My wife always makes it a special day.

Debi I got something similar last summer.

No problems with water leaks but I had camera problems while at CC so I did not really get to use it.
Here are some from the pool.

This time I will be looking at an Olympus 770 or 790 during the summer and I can get a good deal.

Hi Everyone,

Wow - I'm finally having a relatively quiet day at work and have a little time for the DIS!

Over the last couple of months I have promised to post photos of various things ... and then I get so busy I don't get around to it! Here are a couple I know I said I would post. The Halloween pictures are obviously very late - but DS8 was a pretty cute Captain Jack and my mother did a pretty good job making his costume. (It doesn't rival the Captain here on the DIS, but for a kids halloween costume it is pretty good )

The other photo is DH's lights around our house from last year. I still haven't done a photo of this year's display. You can't see everything, but this is the view from the street. We have 3 lots with the house set on the middle lot. There is more stuff toward the back of both side lots, but it is hard to see from the street.

I'm planning to take photos of the indoor decorations tonight or over the weekend - hopefully, I'll get them posted sometime before Spring

This morning, while missing the run (!), I saw the movie of "Sweeney Todd" . . . I had to consciously avoid comparisons to the brilliant B'way production put on recently, but on its own terms it is an amazing movie -- certainly it is not going to be to everyone's taste, but Tim Burton has an unparalleled artistic vision and this movie might show it off to the ultimate level. It's going to be too bloody for some, too much of a musical for others, and certainly Johnny shows he has no ego as a "leading man" to take on this role, but what an actor he is.

Monica, I will be interested in your thoughts when you see it . . . Cheryl, you too!

I have been so busy this weekend at the movies!!! I was even called to do some on Christmas!!! You can just imagine what I told them.

I had not seen the B'way production but I thought the movie deserved the 4 stars it got!!! As far as I see it, Johhny Depp is Sweeney Todd!!! I just kept thinking as the blood squirted out......it is only red corn syrup!!

Ok lets talk Aruba. There was some talk back about 500 pages regarding the Jolly Pirate Sail/Snorkel trip. This is absent from the DCL list, so I emailed them. The date we are there is open at this time. They have 2 boats in operation with an early 9:30-2pm trip and a shorter one in the afternoon 3pm-6pm. Each trip stops at 3 snorkel sites (Malmok, Boca Catalina and the Antilla). The early cruise is $53/pp and the afternoon one is $33/pp. The morning one includes a BBQ lunch and both include Open Bar, gear and rope swing. Mark (Disneypilot) had mentioned that he did this excursion and really enjoyed it. Anybody interested in this?

I've heard it's brilliant. Not sure when I'm going to get to see it though. Can't take DS and don't have anyone to watch him right now.

A week ago, I might have been tempted.....
Right now, it's so cold, I feel like standing in front of the oven with the door open. Yes, it DOES get cold in Arizona.

Okay we had 50 Degrees yesterday and now the high is 22 with gusts of wind over 50 miles an hour!!! I am so happy the main part of the snow is missing us!!!

Glad to hear you enjoyed this movie. I love Tim Burton movies. I'm always amazed by his artistic interpretation. He has a great ability to completely immerse you in another world.

I wasn't sure I was going to see this movie, but the trailers keep inching me closer.

The CDs contain the personal data of several million recipients of Child Benefit (which is basically paid to everyone with children - my data will be on there).

The press have jumped on this and blaming the Government. The truth is that they have been misplaced as opposed to being lost - there is a massive difference.

I think so LA is the same as PC, in fact I flet the embarkation was more simple!

Cabo, PV, Acapulco, are good places to bring on wine and booze! There even is a Tequila tour! HIC!

When they were here last time in 2005 there wasn't a problem. We will have a whole summers worth of trip reports to determine their tolerance this time.
