Cheryl, its today, you aren't late and thank you. I was up late last night/early this morn, so I tried to beat Roger to wishing me a Happy Birthday, so even though the DIS time was yesterday, it was actually today when we posted.

Funny I was sitting around waiting for the DIS clock to click over midnight so I could post a birthday greeting to you with the correct date (well at least EST). I got busy with the kids and you snuck in. I kind see this turning into a pirate contest.

Evening everyone.
It's just gone midnight here in the UK so we're into Christmas Eve' already.

It's currently -3º C here on the east coast of the UK and we have very thick fog. I drove past the sea on the way home and couldn't actually see the sea!

Earlier on this evening the family went to a church service 25 miles away where me and Alex were singing. It was a traditional Christmas service of nine lessons and nine carols. The church was three hundred years old and heating in the 17th century was obviously an optional extra. The church had some convection heaters but I think they were actually an optical illusion. I was glad to get outside to warm up.:rotfl2:

For tomorrow, we have plans to get up early to go to the local butchers to collect some meat we ordered. It opens at 7:00am and from previous experience, I know there will be a queue (line) outside. Unless it warms up, there will probably be Polar Bears there trying to get in from the cold.

Just wanted to post a quick apology to my Secret Santa. I didn't follow Tom's orders and get the package in the mail yesterday or today. Hopefully, you will get it on Wed. or Thursday. I hereby promise to get it in the post on Monday.:goodvibes

I've got one more thing to send out to my Secret Mickey too. I was out of town for the funeral, so I'll drop it in the mail tomorrow. It should arrive by the end of the week.

Happy birthday Tom and Roger!

I have been so busy this weekend at the movies!!! I was even called to do some on Christmas!!! You can just imagine what I told them.:lmao: :lmao:

I had not seen the B'way production but I thought the movie deserved the 4 stars it got!!! :woohoo: As far as I see it, Johhny Depp is Sweeney Todd!!! :thumbsup2 I just kept thinking as the blood squirted out......it is only red corn syrup!!:scared:

The only time the blood really bothered me was in the reprise of "Joanna" near the end, when they do sort of a montage of him killing lots of people . . . the reason being that what Sweeney is singing is actually very touching and in the B'way production it always made me tear up, but with all the cartoonish violence it failed to touch me in the same way . . . He is realizing that he can't pursue his dreams of revenge and still be with his daughter, so he justifies it to himself in a way by saying that she would remind him too much of his wife, etc.

On a lighter note, Johnny Depp is on record saying that the blood is Tim Burton's secret recipe, and not just colored corn syrup -- he says whatever it was, it stung his eyes when it splatted into them (which happened a lot!).

Glad you enjoyed it Cheryl -- I knew you'd go!

Ok lets talk Aruba. There was some talk back about 500 pages regarding the Jolly Pirate Sail/Snorkel trip. This is absent from the DCL list, so I emailed them. The date we are there is open at this time. They have 2 boats in operation with an early 9:30-2pm trip and a shorter one in the afternoon 3pm-6pm. Each trip stops at 3 snorkel sites (Malmok, Boca Catalina and the Antilla). The early cruise is $53/pp and the afternoon one is $33/pp. The morning one includes a BBQ lunch and both include Open Bar, gear and rope swing. Mark (Disneypilot) had mentioned that he did this excursion and really enjoyed it. Anybody interested in this?

Jolly Pirate Sail/Snorkel

This also listed on the website.

Roger, I think our family will probably be doing this as well. I'll run it past DW and the little pirates to see what they think, but it sounds just like what we're looking for. We'll probably do the early one. Thanks for the link.

Happy Christmas eve, David! It's nice to see you back on the boards. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas . . .:santa: :santa:

Hi Gang,
I'm back up in S.F. and rushing around trying to get everything ready for Xmas.
The 49'ers gave us fans a Xmas win today - albeit the Bucs sent in the 2nd string 1/2 way through the game. But, given the 49er pathetic season we'll take any win we can get!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS Everyone!!!!!

Debi I got something similar last summer.

No problems with water leaks but I had camera problems while at CC so I did not really get to use it.
Here are some from the pool.

This time I will be looking at an Olympus 770 or 790 during the summer and I can get a good deal.

Thank you Roger. I have a Panasonic Lumix 7.2. I needed something that's easy to point and shoot.

So now we know who we want to hear sing..... I bet it was beautiful even if it was a bit chilly!

Speaking of you and your family singing.... I thought of you a while ago when Claire was singing some songs from Wicked.... :rotfl: :rotfl:

I only used this animation because I had difficulty finding two clowns animated in a pie fight! And please don't ask me who's wearin' blue or otherwise above... all I know is one keeps spoutin' off epitaphs about incarceration while the other one weeps throwin' handfuls of nutmeg in between the cosmic blasting and force shield poppin'!

She wants you to know that one half is chocolate and the other vanilla. Dh said I should email the pic to our 9ds and he could change the name for me. LOL!

Hi everyone

I just had a chance to quickly SKIM the thread.
All of the pictures look great.:cheer2:

Last Wednesday Tyreak decided he wants to spend Christmas in NC with his father and stepmom. A few weeks ago he said he wanted to stay home. As much as I wanted to say no (he's always spent Christmas and every other holiday with me) I agreed.:sad1:

Tyreak and his dad are both excited about spending the holiday's together. His stepmom has planned some cool things so I know he'll have a blast. I just seems so odd not to have my baby here Christmas morning.:guilty:

I've spent the last 4 days running around making sure he has everything he needs for the trip as well as picking up gifts for his grandparents, dad and stepmom. All of this between finals, papers, working my full time job and a seasonal job at the Times Square Toys R US.
