One alternative to shutters is to suck up to Crash, he takes 7,000 pics on a 7 night cruise, he should be good for abou 20,000 here and is bound to have a few good ones of each of us......

I'm sure for a few attestations of his innocence he would share them and you can get them printed.....


Ok, to just take the planning up a whole 'nother notch.... anyone interested in a post cruise page on the website where we can all post our photobucket, etc. links to our cruise photos ?

Helloooooooo Andy! Don't be a stranger now that you have an all important cruise to plan!

I am sure I am a minority - but we have never bought much from Shutters. Maybe 2 or 3 photos per 7-day cruise. There never seem to be very many of us - we don't do much character meet-n-great and might do 1 formal photo. Of the few that are there, they usually aren't that good - eyes are closed, someone looking away, goofy looks, etc. I don't think I have every seen a candid Shutters photo of us or anyone we were sailing with. I think we may have just bought one on our last cruise - a pirate nite shot with us and a couple friends in costume.

The last time we TRIED to get a good formal photo from Shutters was our 2nd cruise when my parents joined us. I really wanted a good photo of DH, DF and DS in their tuxes. The photographer took 2 shots and was done - this was the best he got. I bought it even though it didn't come out as well as I had hoped. Since then, I have pretty much taken my own photos since I can check right away that they came out OK...

ITA Pamela! I've only bought a couple of pics here & there from them, because I hate hate hate the way I look in pictures. Okay I guess I just plain hate the way I look period, but it's rare I find a pic & say "oh don't we look great!" My favorite pic from shutters is when we are all in the water at CC, which means I am pretty much covered by water & we all have sun glasses & smiles on! Great pic! If I buy any, it's usually just the kids!

It's probably best for me that I don't have such easy access to English biscuits! Of course, your kit kats are better too -- they are giant instead of the little bits we have here . . .

I can get those English crackers at the local Publix here. In fact I gave Cheryl some when we met.

Todd, Congrats. It took DD a while to get used to her Mac. But she wouldn't trade it in for anything else. She also plays WOW on it. The fact that it is not as vulnerable to virus' etc also is a selling point. The kids wait til they come here to download all those nasty bugs lol

I had read that on the previous PC repo you weren't allowed to the port until 10:30 or 11, which is later than at Port Canaveral (10), so unless we hear something differently during the summer cruises I would think 10:30 or so would be early enough.

Sounds great! I'm all for getting there early & stopping for booze on the way!
