8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC Part 2

I think that is something you wold have to discuss with your child. I would love to do the EB Med and take the kids out for the last 6 weeks of school (could homeschool them), but DD screams no. She also doesn't want to miss two weeks for the WB PC Repo, especially for other things she would miss occuring then. Is it their first year? I would say go for it if your child is comfortable with it.

She says nothing ever really happens the first week of school. That really wasn't the point.........I tell her. Just curious how many other people who have kids in high school feel about the subject.

I am about 5 pages behind so I don't know if any new information has been posted about Wed, but this is a direct quote from my TA.

"I've heard some from inventory control on some things but not everyone. We are seeing the same thing August is about 3 x's more requested then May so we'll see what happens with pricing."

The "same thing" refers to my comment to her that the August Repo appears to be much more popular than the May.

You mean like the fact that the KTTW card which is ever so important doesn't have my photo on it!?!?!?! If they truly wanted to make the card "universal" then print a photo on the back a la Costco/Sam's Club!

You know we did a Carnival----ok yes I am embarassed to admit it here----anyway when you board they take an individual photo of you and then it is engrained in your card. Everytime you purchase anything or reboard the photo comes up on thier screen. In fact when we reboarded in Costa Maya I had accidentally handed my son mine and they made a big deal about it. I felt like come guys 3 kids, 2 bags, 3 margaritas, blonde hair, only 2 hands...........................what do you expect.

I'm glad someone answered my question about the transfer to DU. I was afraid that there would be no transfers on Wednesday, and that I wouldn't have a chance at the SBC. So as long as I get my email to them by the end of the day on 1/31. COOL!!!

No, we start the last full week of August but the kids will only miss 5 days of school on this repo rather than 13 on the May repo.

Lisa: Are you saying No to that you wouldn't feel comfortable having them missing the first week of school.

In the UK our summer holidays are later than USA but I think the East/B will nip into our return to school by a day or so.

I used to go to WDW for two weeks in October one week half term, one out of school, but had nasty letters from the school and governors so had to change to summer holidays.

On the PC cruise they learn so much I think is worth it.

Okay heres my weigh in----

Nothing much happens at the beginning of the year exept for establishing the new routine and reviewing.
At the end of the year you have finals and wrapping up of teaching and saying goodbye to friends.
I personally think it would be better to miss the beginning than the end.

Well in less then 48 hours it should be official that we finally have this cruise booked .....gonna be stressful on wednesday ....I am still nervous that they will run out of balcony rooms ...

I just gave my TA a list of 20 verandah rooms on deck 6 in order of preference. I expect she will continue to read down the list until the DCL CM tells her one is available.

Lisa : All set for Wednesday now to put in new logo. I talked with a very nice CM today and put the additional 750.00 deposit on my dummy date. Told her what I was planning on doing to make it easier just to transfer ressie, she laughed and said like you and 5,000 other people. She did confirm no holding on phone before 8:00 am
