Congrats on the weight loss! I'm trying too, but it's sloooooow going! Planning my menu 7 months ahead of time helps!

Let's see for my appetizer I'll have the spinach & cheese pastry covered in the mushroom garlic sauce & for my entree I'll have the lobster tail. Dessert actually didn't look all that exciting to me.

Don Ducky is not to be missed if he is on TPC.
Yes I will dream what I can have, now, have to wait till August to taste.

BTW, Angelina went to pick up her last paycheck after school. She had a talk with the manager that fired her and he offered to give her her job back, but she declined. Angelina found out that he told the other store employees that Angelina had quit and wasn't fired. I'm guessing he must have heard from the home office!!!

Anywho, all is well here, life goes on..............

Just passing through....

... my little one came down with a fever last nite - and my spouse was away the last two nites... so I took care of the little one over nite. She tossed some cookies in the middle of the nite and has been sort of wounded today. However, she is much easier in dosing for medication. I'm gonna wait 4 days this time before thinking about a doctor visit ... this assumes no other symptoms emerge.

He seems to do a lot of the extended or special cruises, its a good two way thing, he gets a cruise, they get some spare time filled up, but the only thing is he has done it before, would he wish to repeat it?

Or maybe Julie Andrews can Draw as well?

Ducky told me to write DCL which I did both times. He loves cruising and said he would like to do it all the time!!!! I sent to his web site but no answer yet.

A little announcement

Following our last holiday in WDW I suggested to Helen that she should invite her parents to come to USA and WDW to find out what it was like. We talked about how we could do this as both her parents are divorced and re-married. We knew that we could offend one set for one reason or the other set for another reason so we sent a letter to them at the same time. They both responded positively but thankfully, there was no disagreement as to who would go in 2008 and who would go in 2009.

Helen's mother and her husband are to go this year. The plan was that we get off the cruise on 1st September and that afternoon, we would meet them at Orlando airport and they would stay with us at Old Key West using our DVC points.

So far so good.

A few weeks ago, they started asking questions about the cruise. They have done a few cruises in the Mediterranean and enjoyed them so they were VERY interested in a DCL cruise. When I went into details, dates and prices about our 15 day Eastern Repo, it was apparent that they couldn't do that (time-off work etc - he doesn't work for the Government like me ).

To cut a long story short, they asked (begged would be more appropriate ) if we would change our plans so they could do a DCL cruise with us as well. Helen and I tried every way to get them to come to LA with us but at this stage we couldn't even get them on the cruise. It also came to light that they were nervous about flying the Atlantic on their own for the first time as well.

It has taken several days before I was comfortable with "announcing" this but I have now cancelled our place on this cruise and instead will now be going on the 5 day cruise on the 1st September instead. The flights have all been re-arranged and car rental cancelled and re-book, hotels altered etc. etc. It was surprising as to how much I had already done.

Helen and I are very disappointed that we won't be cruising with you, especially with some people we know as friends. The most upset is probably Alex who was looking forward to spending time with so many friends he has come to know and keep in regular contact with. He had agreed to sing with some of these friends and even drink coffee - he doesn't even like the stuff!!

All this is a result of a fairly open and generous offer by me to my in-laws which has been turned around but not to our advantage. I'm not angry just extremely disappointed (more so as I had paid for the cruise in full).

In closing, the night before the cruise I have booked us all into the Radisson at Port Canaveral with the intention of getting up early to hopefully meet some of you getting off the Magic and leaving the port. This is a small price to pay in order for us to see so many of you we were looking forward to meeting again. This has been the only way I have been able to console Alex.

After the 5 Day, we will be returning to WDW to stay for another week so if any of you are free and available on Saturday 6th September onwards, PLEASE, PLEASE, let me know.

David, Helen, Alex & Bethan are really fun (and nice!) people that are going to be missed on the 15 nt!!!! Who is Sam (my 16dd for those that don't know us) going to tease? The girls on the 5nt are going to have such a treat!!!

I know that all of you are going to have a great time on whatever criuise you go on but, we (Jon & I) were looking forward to getting to know you and Helen better on this cruise --- we were hoping that this year you wouldn't get sick and have to hole up in your cabin!

Geez, i'll get the blame because I started it oh well, there could be worst things to be blamed for. But, having JA on the trip would be awesome and I would be in 7th heaven - if it happens.

The posts about Julie Andrews brings back a happy memory.
A few years ago we walked into MGM and there was a sign saying JA was signing copies of her books during certain hours. I was so excited! We ran back to the Writers Corner and bought her book and signed up for a time to come back.
I came back at "my time" and the line was insanely long. DH thought we would miss our 50's PTD ressies if I stayed so we went to eat. I was so disappointed. When we finished he said why don't you run over and see if they are still signing while I get the girls cleaned up, pay etc. so I ran over.
I told DH to hurry since I wanted the girls to meet JA.
I let every single person go in front of me waiting for them and I finally had to go in to get my book signed. She was so gracious and friendly- and very pretty I might add- even though I was the last of a lot of people. I told her I wished my girls could have met her but maybe another time.
Don't you know as soon as I walked out and the door was shut and locked up comes Bill w/ the girls. I had them go to the door and see her. JA had her back to them but a CM told her they were looking and she turned around and smiled and waved at them and they were just in heaven!
She is such a classy lady.

She was at the National Book Festival several years ago signing her book. I couldn't get near her though the crowd around her was huge So cool that you got to talk to her

On the Med repo from Europe back to PC last August, our special guest was Susan Egan, the original Belle in Beauty and the Beast on B'way, as well as the voice of Meg in Hercules. She gave a wonderful performance and did a great question and answer session/autograph signing.

Had my birthday on Monday and my hubby surprised me - we are going to renew our vows on the cruise! Our anniversary is right after the cruise ends so it will be pretty close to the date. Now - to try and fit back into the wedding dress!

I think you might be right about just staying on pirate chat. It's safer that way!
