Count my family among the deck 2 crowd! However, as yet I expect to have a change in cabin number though. So ... if ya get running little feet being pursued by a few larger pairs of feet ... that would probably be my family. So may I offer my apolagies in advance now?

Oh good Lord! I am going to get 1 formal outfit in 1 size bigger than the other since it is so late.
I was between sizes on my pirate outfit so the timing just answered that one.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I know from experince how terrifying it is to have your kids in the hospital. So glad you are back under 1 roof and he is fine.

Monica, A year and a half ago my then 4dd (now 6) fractured her skull and she was bleeding internally. I know exactly how you feel.

The worst feeling ever was the ER doctor telling dh and I that there was bleeding in her brain and that they had arranged for her to be taken by ambulance to the Children's hospital where they had a pediatric neurologist.

I will keep your son in our prayers!

Interesting, last time we had the Mexican Deck party in Acapulco, I bet it will be PV, due to leaving times. Pirate night last time Curacao, I think Aruba.

And I was looking at a nighttime excursion in Puerto Vallarta, and it specifically said that it was only available on the Eastbound Panama Canal repo cruise. So the fact that the Acapulco cliff diver excursion doesn't exclude our cruise may be a good sign. At least that's how I'm taking it...

Good point, Mike! You are right -- they could have said that the cliff divers were restricted to the WB cruise . . .

Happy Friday. I just found this thread and thought I would introduce myself and say hi.

My name is Heidi and my fiance is Chris. This cruise will be our Honeymoon and I am so excited to be able to go on a 15 day DCL cruise for our Honeymoon. My parents took the last East Repo cruise and loved it, so now I get the chance to go on it. This cruise will be my 7th DCL cruise, and Chris's 3rd DCL cruise.

This thread is a little overwhelming, but I hope to keep up with it and get to know everyone and figure out everything planned.

By the way I decided to give all the leather work on Nastassja's costume (ES AWE) a go myself. I bought 20 square feet of leather (half a cow) last week. It's very intricate. I just finished making my own patterns for the shoulder armor and belt with armor. Leather craft is cool. Never did it before but I feel crafty. We'll see what happens. I might be calling Toby if things don't work out.

Peter, It still amazes me when you post an update about your costume progress. Still can't wait to see the pics. BTW, are you and Johnna still thinking about Derby time in Louisville? And where has your BIL been, haven't heard from him a while?

Did anyone read the DCL newsletter on their website? Something about a new game show, "A Pirate's Life for Me" in Parrot Cay. Apparently, we get an invitation from our server as to which day and time, our table goes.

Anyways, enough babbling for now - need to get ready for work.

me, DH, DS (13) and DD (12) - kids ages at cruise time - hoping to find some pals for them to touch base with before we go.

Pirate's Life sounds fun, and I agree about the cliff divers, we didn't do that in '05 and I really want to this time.

Well, we sat down with pencil, calendar, and a calculator and started to figure out just how we're going to pull off all the travels we have planned for next year. (For all the newer members of the crew, I have an 8 week sabbatical this summer.)

There's good news and bad news...

The good news is that the cruise is definitely IN!

The bad news is that the trip the the Paralympics after the cruise is out, unless we come into some money between now an then. (On the ohter hand, we'll have longer to camp at the National Parks, and a more relaxed preparation for the cruise.)

The good news is that a grown up only trip to WDW for the Flower and Garden festival in May to celebrate our anniversary is IN. (Called DVC yesterday and got a studio at SSR.)

The bad news is that going to the mini-meet at DL in March is OUT. (Maybe if it's just a day trip, and just me, but probably not a happening thing for the family.)

The good news is that we've extended our precruise DL trip to three full days (four nights) and will be staying at the Grand Californian! (Called DVC yesterday and got a standard view room.)

The other news is that I won't be needing my $79/night ressie at Ho-Jo's any longer and I'm happy to try to transfer it to someone else. Don't know if they'll allow it, but it doesn't hurt to ask. It's for check in on 8/15/07 and check out on 8/17/07 - a room with two queens. PM me if you want to try.

Esteri, you kow it is a darn shame when the budget has to interfere with our vacation plans--but it is something that happens to all of us. Gotta love those DVC points--we've been able to take so many trips we otherwise wouldn't have been able to over the years.

Are you trying to tell me all those advertisements I get for enhancements don't really work? Darn, I just sent all the money I got from my Nigerian uncle to buy some....

hey everyone! just popping in quick to say hello. my daycare kids are all napping, and i really need to get the house cleaned up. i don't want to do it though! too lazy!!! LOL!
tomorrow we are hosting a parent's nite out...the kids are all coming back on a saturday...what was i thinking??!! we will feed them dinner, and santa is coming for a visit before they lay down for the nite. it should be fun...and exhausting!!!

I really need to check out the DCL site more often.

I think we need to do some brainstorming about non-DCL excursions. I have heard several that want to go Zip-lining in PV but their kids are to young for DCLs version. There was a group a couple of 100 pages or so ago, there was a bunch of us talking about the pirate ship snorkel trip in Aruba. This was spearheaded by Mark (DisneyPilot) who has done this and highly recommended it. DCL does not have this listed. Anyway, I think it is time we have some kind of sign up list for those that would like to make up their own excursions. It still might be early but if we can get a rough head count we can contact the vendors as to availability. What do you say s?

Jo is a travel agent -- a terrific one! -- so I would expect her to have some insider information.

I believe that generally DCL sends the tux rental form when you get your paperwork -- perhaps others who have done it can give more information?

For our April cruise we got an info packet I want to say around January with the excursions listed and the tux info was in there.

We're back from WDW. We had quite the challenge getting home on Tuesday (for that matter, we had a challenge getting to FL too). I wanted to share a few pictures with you. The first is my main Christmas tree. The second is the new DVC unit being built at AKL and last is a picture at the end of Holiday Wishes with the Castle all lit up with fireworks around it.

Tracy, glad you and Bill had safe travels (even if they were a bit tricky) I sure hope to see the castle myself next December.
