Did anyone read the DCL newsletter on their website? Something about a new game show, "A Pirate's Life for Me" in Parrot Cay. Apparently, we get an invitation from our server as to which day and time, our table goes.

Well, we sat down with pencil, calendar, and a calculator and started to figure out just how we're going to pull off all the travels we have planned for next year. (For all the newer members of the crew, I have an 8 week sabbatical this summer.)

There's good news and bad news...

The good news is that the cruise is definitely IN!

The bad news is that the trip the the Paralympics after the cruise is out, unless we come into some money between now an then. (On the ohter hand, we'll have longer to camp at the National Parks, and a more relaxed preparation for the cruise.)

The good news is that a grown up only trip to WDW for the Flower and Garden festival in May to celebrate our anniversary is IN. (Called DVC yesterday and got a studio at SSR.)

The bad news is that going to the mini-meet at DL in March is OUT. (Maybe if it's just a day trip, and just me, but probably not a happening thing for the family.)

The good news is that we've extended our precruise DL trip to three full days (four nights) and will be staying at the Grand Californian! (Called DVC yesterday and got a standard view room.)

The other news is that I won't be needing my $79/night ressie at Ho-Jo's any longer and I'm happy to try to transfer it to someone else. Don't know if they'll allow it, but it doesn't hurt to ask. It's for check in on 8/15/07 and check out on 8/17/07 - a room with two queens. PM me if you want to try.

Under the Castaway Club link. First item is the newsletters. I think you can only get to the Castaway Club list by logging in to My Disney Cruise. I can double check later, if you can't get in.

Evening all ketchup on posts didn't quote any but good reading.

On Acapulco , I personally thought there could be restrictions on the shore trips available due to the limited time in port, and W/bound will get them all, we might not.

However Cliff divers, I think DCL or tour operator could easily arrange a special dive for us in the morning, all they have to do is advise the divers in advance and I am sure they would turn up for $.

The issue is? Would the Dolphin's at Cici open early, even if it did it would be far more limited than last cruise as there were trips on the hour every hour right up to 2pm and 3pm, they would have gone.

If going by yourself I think markets and fort etc might not open early, I am sure where the tours go they will be told to open early and would do so.

I do the same thing! My ex would constantly send that junk to my work. It took about 5 replies with snopes pages attached to get him to stop. Sad thing was, he really believed what he was sending was true.

Are you trying to tell me all those advertisements I get for enhancements don't really work? Darn, I just sent all the money I got from my Nigerian uncle to buy some....

hey everyone! just popping in quick to say hello. my daycare kids are all napping, and i really need to get the house cleaned up. i don't want to do it though! too lazy!!! LOL!
tomorrow we are hosting a parent's nite out...the kids are all coming back on a saturday...what was i thinking??!! we will feed them dinner, and santa is coming for a visit before they lay down for the nite. it should be fun...and exhausting!!!

It must be all those "Love Boat" shows. That is the one thing I told DH I really wanted to do once we found out we where on the ship last week. I'm won't have time to seriously look at excursions until after the holidays. I briefly looked at a non- DCL excursion someone had mentioned on the main DCL forum in Puerto Vallarta - Dolphin watching and snorkeling but it leaves at 10am and won't work for us not going ashore until 9:30 - cutting a little to close for my liking. Bummer, as it's my kind of excursion - I'd rather see the dolphins in the wild. It is similar to the whale watching tours we can go on here.

me, DH, DS (13) and DD (12) - kids ages at cruise time - hoping to find some pals for them to touch base with before we go.

Thanks for the info on the game show - I haven't checked out the DCL newsletter in forever - I will have to now.

There are many of us with kids in the same age ranges - my DS will also be 13 at cruise time.

Happy Friday. I just found this thread and thought I would introduce myself and say hi.

My name is Heidi and my fiance is Chris. This cruise will be our Honeymoon and I am so excited to be able to go on a 15 day DCL cruise for our Honeymoon. My parents took the last East Repo cruise and loved it, so now I get the chance to go on it. This cruise will be my 7th DCL cruise, and Chris's 3rd DCL cruise.

This thread is a little overwhelming, but I hope to keep up with it and get to know everyone and figure out everything planned.

Welcome aboard and congrats on getting on! What a great honeymoon trip this will be for you.

I'm sorry the thread is overwhelming - most of it is just fluff, us getting to know one another. All the really important stuff is on the website - just email the webmaster for access.
