My DS (Andrew) turns 14 tomorrow
He does get less from our extended family because he is so close to Christmas

(I have to go out and get him something tonight )

Do give Andrew my sympathies . . . it is tough to feel special when the entire season is about everyone feeling special! And I totally relate to the less presents issue . . . I'll wish him a happy birthday tomorrow but for today I'd say "Sorry -- Dec. 11 is just as bad a day as Dec. 9 for a birthday, but that's what we are stuck with!"

Wow! Come back from dinner and all of the East coasters have gone to bed with only 76 to the next What should I do ? I would love to run it up and have Liz or Andy come on in the morning with 1-2 posts for a pirate. Or I could share with all of you some more DL photos.

This weekend was chaotic. Had 9am birthday party for DD12 to see a special screening of Alvin and the Chipmunks. Church concert for DD7 on Saturday afternoon and evening then again two more performances on Sunday. Then off to the mall for a school chorus concert. Then DD12 had to go to rehearsal for their Spring show.

I love my new camera and being able to take shots without flash.

And since all of you have been sharing your artsy crafts thing, I though I would share DW favorite pastime during the holiday season.

This is her famous cookie tree. I personally am not involved with this except for fetching ingredients. She buys the little trees at Michaels. Makes cinnamon cookie ornaments (non-edible) that are made out of mostly cinnamon. She cuts the dough out, bakes them and then decorates them.

Yes Arlene, they are with cinnamon and applesauce. They make the whole house smell like a cookie.

They were fun to make.Like the pic of your DD. Tomorrow night my DGS has his middle school concert and of course I was told about it yesterday. Darn!

The weather here is perfect. Haven't had to put on the A/C nor the heat. This is my favorite time of the year
