I finished decorating last weekend but did not download til now. Yes I really love the mouse. The Clock factory has Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto come out of their houses and sing 11 different Christmas Carols in their voices. Pluto just howls in tune. The snow globes are from J c Penneys. giveaways on Black Friday for the last 7 years. I made the centerpiece for my kitchen table. I have over 400 Disney only ornaments on my tree except for one my DGD made. My little tree in the family room has all mickey too.

Cheryl - I love your attention to Detail - and by the same token I am simply stunned by LITTLEKID58 with the tremendous coverage on such a beautiful home! I had been hoping to do some of the "Dad" decorating - outdoor lights - set up of just the tree and such - but we've only been home 5 nites plus I had a couple of working nites this week and now we're off again. Plus it rained a couple days here. So we set up nothing for the holidays. Not that anything I would array could compete with what you ladies have achieved in decorating. Just the same - may I offer respectful compliments.... although I am just wondering whether Cheryl might have just googled the decorating photos.... <wink> ;)

Lets see now, we have Tom (Crash) attracting earthquakes and Tom (Tom31b) who has an affinity for hurricanes. :rolleyes1 Maybe we should get the two of them a dingy so we can send them away from the Magic if their attractive powers start bringing us any of these natural phenomenons.

Well...

... seeing as I'm now done packing - and about to embark for Florida in 4 hours and sail in 35 hours. So, I'm gonna post a general appeal to Tom31 and Julie to keep the hurricane weather and earthquakes under control .... until after I leave the region! So far the NHC weather radar shows stable conditions in the region... lets' keep it that way, OK neighbors?

Morning:goodvibes

Cheryl, when you said you had close to 40 boxes and John argued it wasn't that much, I'm thinking you were pretty close on that one.WOW!!!. Rich was overwhelmed:lmao: He was amazed at yours too Liz.we were talking about the Lights for the house last night and we both decided neither one of us is getting on that ladder:rotfl2: I would like to get those really nice lit reindeer. Some of those are really nice.

Great job :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

ARUBA

My national UK paper today has an article about the best cruise ports in the Caribbean and it includes a bit about Aruba.

Not sure if this has been posted before, but firstly it says if you like shopping get your self an ARUBA PLUS CARD, it gives you discounts a many shops usually 10% and costs £6, (thats USA $100, sorry $12 on todays exchange rate).

Weblink

http://visitaruba.com/

Lots more information on the website, worth a read, and it comments of all the cruise ports this is the easiest one to do it yourself.

If you come out of the cruise terminal and turn left and walk about half a mile you come to a very beautiful fabulous and undisturbed beach, pristine white sand.

If you turn right, you hit the shops a giant mall with loads of shops most accepting the plus card full of big name stores.

They recommend lunch at 'Iguana Joe's' and dinner on late sailings at The flying fishbone.

They comment Aruba has some of the best weather in the Caribbean sunny with a usual light breeze.

But the first sign you will see of the ship, is Dunkin Donuts!

You know what I've discovered over the past couple of years..............it was much easier being a teenager, then it is, being the parent of a teenager...............

I hope I have the stamina to make through until our DD makes it to adulthood........:rolleyes1

For those of you who have gone through this, God Bless You, for those yet to experience it, God Be With You!!!

Believe me it doesn't change when they reach adulthood. Yesterday my oldest daughter called to have me pick up her medication because she was out and had to get to work. Then this morning I had to wake up the youngest so she wasn't late for work (she just moved back home to go to graduate school). And they are 25 and 27!! So being a parent never ends...or gets easier. But I do love them and wouldn't trade them for the world. Plus I get to spoil the grandson.

Everyone's Christmas decorations look great! Thanks so much for sharing them. We tend to go way overboard with our decorations, too. So I feel like I'm in good company here!

Cheryl, I love how each one of your babies pictures has a little light above it. How long did it take you to get that just right? :goodvibes

Cheryl, everything looks beautiful!!! Very festive.

I'm enjoying everybody's Christmas decoration pictures.

I'm going to work on some more decorations today. We've been slowly getting things in place. Just the other night I spent a couple hours hot gluing snowflakes to the ceiling (instead of studying :rolleyes1 ). I'll have to post some pics if we ever get finished with everything.

Mike PLEASE take a picture of this. I would love to see how this looks. Can you easily remove them from the ceiling without casuing damage?

Our little 4' tree is up and decorated. We bought this tree last year and put it on our entertainment center because a certain cat would not stop eating the needles off our previous tree. Plus, Angelina's cat tried climbing up the center of the tree and knocked it over several times. I took the tree out of the box and as I opening up the branches, who do you think was there biting the tree needles................:headache:

Oh, the mailman is coming with one of Angelina's Christmas packages and I have to get the package and hide it before Angelina knows it is here.

My tree is still in the box,on the living room floor. Just can't seem to get in the mood. Kev's been busy getting the annual model train show ready for this weekend and I need help rearranging the furniture. Excuses, excuses. ;)

pirate: ing the wish. Hope it was great:)

Our high school football team might have had a heartbreaking loss last Saturday, but I was just checking the online football forum and found out that our team won the South Jersey Group 2 State Championship by the score of 31-17!!! I'm feeling much better this evening!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Cheryl, where did you find that? I looked for years for a light up Disney topper for my tree. Love all your decorations:goodvibes

We are worth the 5 hour drive.:thumbsup2

I know you all are. I just don't like to drive for a trip--3 hours is my limit. AA had airfare for RT for 150 or so, which wasn't bad, maybe I should just leave the boys at home. I'll have to give it some more thought.:goodvibes

Oh crud, now that Hazel and Angelina have left to go do some Christmas shopping, I opened the package that arrived earlier. Inside was a scarf that Angelina asked for. I should have read the tag and paid better attention as the scarf is wool, and I'm allergic to wool. My eyes are now itching and starting to burn like crazy. Excuse me while I go take some Benadryl................

Boy, this day is just getting better by the moment..................
