Did someone say redneck, I mean NASCAR? I'm a fan. I came in 32nd in my pool (out of 36, some skillful picking there......)

I didn't think ANY of my images might be "disturbing"....
< wink >
However, if anyone has paused in bemused reflection over anything I posted - just you remember I can be pretty spontaneous in selecting an image to go with a thought I'd like to support in a posting - and as such I am officially INNOCENT of any disturbing images posted! < steady silent grinnin' >

Seriously, most folks should know I'm a relatively normal - gainfully employed SAHD - I have work from home in the business (small natural adjustments over time) for 20+ year. Only difference is before I had kids I would be on the road roughly half the year and my buedsiness income was significantly higher then. With kids I have given up on a lot of business opportunities and find the rewards of parenting to be priceless.
OK... enuf of all that... I know some of what i ost might be viewed as odd - but remember - I am not trying to make a balanced and well conceived posting - rather I am just speding along and matching up near miss images to the idea I'm trying to illustrate. Sometimes it works - and sometimes it does not - and other times its' probably a little ... disturbing.
They have to redo the tracks. There are some places that have not held up over the years and they've just been patched and repatched, leading to a more shallow track. This causes the boats to get stuck more often. The buzz on the internet is that it is due to Americans being bigger now than they were in the 1960's so the boats are heavier.

Count me in as a redneck too. Don't particpate in pools but I do attend the race at Infineon every year.

On our last cruise thread, my wife lurked but never posted. Which got me in a lot of trouble when I made comments about her suitcase full of shoes. She was royally peeved at me until she read the comments from the other ladies and realized they also thought I was an idiot.

Tragicly...
... my spouse chuckles to no end that a Californian like me would pack so little for Boston in Winter. I DID not intend on going out much with 3 kids in an unfamiliar town. But I think I barely have enuf to get by. On the other hand my spouse - who grew up in outside of Pittsburg in a ONE SIGNAL LITE town ... (where my dear MIL once told a farmer her daughters' boyfriend was a "city slicker" within earshot of me).... well .... my spouse packed winter hats with fluffy ear flaps for the kids, winter gloves, plus all kinds of appropriate cold weather gear.
Crash, I didn't know your DW was a fellow hick from the 'Burgh. I think our town had a stop light. Of course, now it has a highway running right through it right behind my old childhood home.
Do you mind me asking where she is from -- I might know the place. I am from Charleroi, which is 45 miles south of Pgh along the Mon River.
