Assignment for the diligent web searchers....

At a pin trading event at the Contemporary on Friday (November 16) they had on display a picture of the pins for the 2008 repos. Who can find a picture of this picture?

Sorry, didn't have my camera with me to take a picture. We hope to be at the next pin event on 12/21 (as long as our flight from PHL gets in on time) and I'll have my DD take a picture if they have it displayed again. We should have a hour or so before we go over to MVMCP. I don't know how to post a picture but hopefully one of my daughters will be able to figure it out. I'm having the whole family here for the holidays.

Here's one of ours. Color has faded a bit over the years I'm afraid,it was a 5tiered white with baby blue roses. I'll have to find a picture of the "cake" part..it was dyed Blue too!

A PIRATE RUN !!!

Cheryl, the phone was in the car, sorry. I had my hands full last night here as DGD had an accident in her sleep on the couch. Funny, I was thinking it was about time to take the cushion cover in to be cleaned:rotfl2: Just wasn't thinking about now. I seem to have been booted out of chat last night as when I came back it tried to reconnect me but failed. However you guys were busy ON A PIRATE RUN !!!!

Yes, one of the DIS'ers on our August 2006 cruise made us matching pillowcases and put them in our fish extender. Hazel and I had our pillows and pillowcases with us on the cruise last week. My pillowcase has Verandah Man on it, and Hazel and Angelian's have their names on theirs. The same lady felt so bad that she forgot to make my mom a pillowcase, that she made my mom one after she returned home and mailed it to me so I could give it to my mom.

DIS'ers are indeed very "SPECIAL" people!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes
That was so nice of her Andy.

Made it to 1000!!!!

Whooo hoooo!

CONGRATS

a tag would be nice too.....

i think i am the only pirate with out one.....:sad1:

Ummm look closely , she doesn't like me either.

Guess this wouldn't be a good time to ketchuo huh?:rotfl2:

Tom31: Tried to send you a PM but your box is full. Why don't you clean in out in about 100 posts or so.:rotfl2:

Rough time here but we really are doing o.k I am out of work at least 2 weeks due to my incision. ( spelling ) I am heavily medicated to prevent me from doing a darn thing to prevent me from getting a hurnia.

Brooke had her oral surgery today. 3 teeth removed, 1 impacted molar. I am giving her ice on for 30 min. off 30 min. Next dose of meds is at 12:00 AM What a week !!!

:grouphug: Take care :grouphug:

Do you need to be in the pin trading event? Or can anyone go in to see? If so, if it is within my schedule we may go.

If you look carefully, you can see the Blue Cake and the look on my face pretty much tells how "happy" I am!

Hello,
My name is Tom. I am a DISaholic. Sometimes my DISing gets the better of me and I find myself engaging in wasteful posting, also known as fluffing. When I am with my DIS friends, I tend to get carried away as we post hundreds and hundreds of posts. I am here to get better, please help me.

Lisa & Tiggerbaby,

... < ah-h-h-h-h-h > .... I must PROTEST! At least ONE of my postings during that insane hour of fluff was a REAL posting. As were all the "wench distractions" and "funny intentions" images... as well as the congratulatory 1000th posting image I custom modified for MKYGRL. Those are most decidedly NOT fluff... Now as for the actual images of "fluff" posted by some - THOSE are fluff and POTENTIALLY legitimate ... And BTW.... what's wrong with a little fluff every now and then. Especially seein' as it's getting a bit cooler in most parts? A little fluff can warm the body as well as the soul... so I say - bring on MORE FLUFF!

And wasn't it the great Willy Wonka who said, "A little nonsense now and then, is relished by the wisest men." ?

Here's my Ground Hog Mike:

Great picture Debi. That has to be your Mom next to Kevin!

I'm sure you must have posted it before, but I missed that you got married on Castaway Cay. How cool was that!

Gee Mike, how can ya tell? ;) I've noticed the older I get, the more I look like her. She's only 18 yrs. older than me. She was one week away from her 40th birthday the day this was taken!

Hey, 897 posts till a pirate:

Anyone up for a run?

So I keep forgetting, is it the Borg or Disney who claim resistance is futile ?

Ya, what Tom said goes for me too.

I have it booked but not sure if I will be able to make it. Chris and Todd also have it booked. And I believe there were a few more.

Hi Monica, I remember that you and Chris and Todd booked on the Med repo -- we talked about it on Castaway Cay that beautiful day! I'm still not sure it will work out, but I will know the dates for school well before the cutoff date for getting my deposit back.

I'm afraid this is the worst possible place to seek help . . . sort of like an alcoholic asking for help in a bar or a sexaholic in Scores . . . or a drug addict at a Rolling Stones concert . . .

Hi Everyone!

Once again I am way behind and am going to have to try and ketchup. We had a wonderful time at WDW last weekend - all except for DS and I being knocked down by a kid in the Magic Kingdom  On Friday night, right before 10pm and the 2nd Spectro parade, we were walking down Main Street USA toward the exit looking for a good spot to stop and watch. It was pretty chilly so the crowd wasn't too bad and most of the route was only 1-person deep. We were trying to get as close to the exit as possible and then just stand behind someone sitting on the curb. Suddenly a young teen (probably 12-15ish) was RUNNING through the crowd and cut right in front of me. He was so close that he actually stepped on my foot. Since I was walking when I was suddenly stepped on, I pitched straight forward. I was holding DS8's hand and he was slightly behind me, so I was trying to hold him upright with that hand as I fell. We both ended up on the ground with cuts, scrapes and bruises. Once we somewhat recovered, I was grateful that was all that was injured and very glad it hadn't happened to someone older who might have broken bones. Little did I know that this fall would come back to haunt me the middle of this week! On Wednesday I woke up with my neck and shoulders in major pain which was causing a huge headache. I went to see my chiropractor and as soon as he started examining my neck he asked if I had been in an accident - it seems that I have whiplash! I guess the delay of 4 days before the pain hit is fairly normal... At least I got to enjoy the rest of my weekend at WDW. We spent Saturday at Epcot and Sunday at AK until we had to leave for the airport and other than some of the bruises and scrapes, DS and I felt fine and had a great time!

My Mondays are always crazy and Tuesday had a PTO meeting (which is pretty mandatory now that I am being a co-president). I had planned to get back online and ketchup here on Wednesday, but instead I spent that day in pain and very, very nauseous (I didn't even know that was part of whiplash until this happened). This is the first time of been able to post or read since we left back on the 7th so I am really far behind now!

My neck is still stiff, so I can only spend a short time at the computer before it starts bothering me. Hopefully, I can read a little bit at a time and still -ketchup - but the post count seems pretty high - there must have been a big pirate run for the 80000 post! :thumbsup2

Wow, that's terrible! I'm glad that you were able to enjoy the end of your vacation. Take care of yourself now though. Hope you have a speedy recovery.
