Ah. Another one who got married and then had the wedding? It's the only way to go. :thumbsup2

My favorite pic! The 2 males that DD is leaning between are her big brother 27ds & her little brother 9ds, 16dd is the girl on the far right. --

Great photos steph. Beautiful family.

Here's a tidbit I realized a few minutes ago while editing our Christmas letter - sk8ingfam has been in 22 states + a district + a province in 2007!

Crazy, huh?

So my birthday hug was from you in a Winnie the Pooh costume?????:sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

There's nothing like having a new holiday to plan for . . .
Starting on 2010 now!

Esteri, sorry that I missed it. I may not be the best person to ask this of. We normally do day trips but we have stayed at all three hotels. If you have the money the GC has the best location. I really did not think the rooms were anything special but you are connected to California Adventure and only a 2-3 minute walk (from the lobby not your room) to DL. The DLH is the oldest and really the furthest from the parks (you have to walk the length of DTD to get there but the Monorail does run kind of close to it). It has the best pool (Neverland Pool). They will be starting a major make-over starting after the first of the year but will not be finished until 2010-2012. The Paradise Pier is the cheapest and is kind of separated from the main part of resort. You can walk across the street and through the GCH lobby to the entrance to the parks. PP was remodeled not too long ago and for the money is where we stay if we spend the night. They have a rather plain pool area but do have a water slide that is reminiscent of the Magic/Wonder.

I have put together a pictorial guide to each one of them.
Grand California Hotel
Disneyland Hotel
Paradie Pier Hotel

Let me know if you have any specific questions that I can get answered when we are at the parks.

Nice guides, thank you.

:santa:

I just checked the DCL website and it lists Cartegena as a stop.

I'm glad that's fixed. That's the port that I think I'm most excited about visiting. Now let's hope that they "Fix" Acapulco so that we have a little more time there.

They must have fixed it. When I looked, the line was blank where Cartegena is now. Sure wish they'd do something about Acapulco. I understand the timing and we'd have to leave that early to make it to the PC. But can't they sprinkle some Pixie Dust or something and make us move faster so we can stay longer?

Not only is Katherine beautiful from the outside but the inside as well!!!:flower3: You must be so proud of all your children.:yay:

This cookie receipe is for adult pirates and wenches!!!:lmao:

Christmas Tequila Cookies

1 cup dark brown sugar
1 cup (two sticks) butter
1 cup granulated sugar
4 large eggs
2 cups dried fruit (dried cranberries or raisins)
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts or pecans
2 cups all purpose flour
1 liter bottle Jose Cuervo Tequila (silver or gold, as desired)

First, sample the Cuervo to check quality.
Take a large bowl. Check the Cuervo to be sure It is of the highest quality.
Pour another 4 ounces in a measuring cup and drink.
Turn on the electric mixer.
Beat one cup of the butter in a large fluffy bowl.
Add one teaspoon sugar. Beat again.
At this point, it is best to make sure the Cuervo is still OK.
Try another 4 ounces, just in case.
Turn off the mixerer thingy.
Break two leggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit, picking
the frigging fruit off the floor.
Mix on the turner.
If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaterers, just pry it loose with a screwdriver.
Sample the Cuervo to check for tonsisticity.
Next, sift 2 cups of salt or shomething.
Check the Jose Cuervo.
Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts.
Add one table.
Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find.
Greash the oven.
Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over.
Don't forget to beat off the turner.
Finally, throw the bowl through the window, finish the Cose Juervo and
make sure to put the stove in the dishwasher.

Think I'll have to give this receipe a try over the weekend!:rotfl2:

did everyone check out the excursions? they are now up on dcl

Thanks for the heads-up. :thumbsup2
Looks like there are many Acapulco excursions including cliff diving. So maybe this means that we will be there longer than anticipated.

Looks like they have zip-line tour in Puerto Vallarta but with a minimum age of 10. May have to look into booking this one on our own.

What an awesome wedding picture! You have a great looking family. Loved the "funny" pic too.

Thank you!! I wish I had been closer when they were doing the funny picture -- I would of had 16dd next to DSIL and then I could have cropped everyone else out and I would use it for our Christmas picture! LOL!
