Not only is Katherine beautiful from the outside but the inside as well!!!:flower3: You must be so proud of all your children.:yay:

I am! And thank you! When Katherine was a teenager and people would say *Your dd is so pretty* I would say *Thank you. She's even prettier inside.* :goodvibes
When Samantha would hear people say her sister was pretty she would say *I'm prettier. I have better hair and skin. My daddy said so.* :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Samantha is our only dd with thick hair (dh & I bothhave think hair) and Samantha is the only one of the 5 with Jon's skin coloring. ;) When Samantha was little she thought her and her dad were from Mexico. :lmao: :lmao:

Did anyone on the last cruise or a different cruise line do shore excursions on their own? If you did what did you do and would you recommend it?

Thanks, trying to decide what to do because when you multiply the shore excursions by 4 for each island it is very expensive. We have been to Aruba so we are going to just take a cab to the beach

i just made my cruise reservations for 2009. im on the aug 15 tortola eastern than on the aug 22 western. it was nice i was able to get the same room for both cruises.

Welcome, we have a cruise meets thread running for the August 15th, I have the same room on the Panama crossing as the 2009 cruise!!!

The trips are similar to 2005, Acapulco you can do on your own, the ship is docked very close to the old town, the fort is opposite, the main part of the old town and market are a short walk.

PV. I haven't been to before but its a short taxi to the town and beach. Also can book Dolphins here.

Cabo, you can book Dolphins here independently there are a lot of operators here

Aruba, the beach is just left of cruise port, the shopping mall just right out of port.

Cartenaga, I suggest DCL for security.

I just saw this on the DCL site. This is for the East Bound Panama Cruise!!!

Category 09 : Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom $ 6,567.58

Still 'cant' sell them then!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

(Returns from travel agents)

Travel agents weren't allowed to hold any rooms on the 15nt cruises
Any availability is people cancelling and DCL releasing the inventory after filling in GTY room status and figuring out how many they had left after all was said and done

The logic of little children. My DD told her pre K teacher last year she was an Indian. When the teacher asked us and we said we were not, we asked Rebecca why she said she was an Indian and she said...wait for it... "Well, I am not a Pilgrim."

This weekend was chaotic. Had 9am birthday party for DD12 to see a special screening of Alvin and the Chipmunks. Church concert for DD7 on Saturday afternoon and evening then again two more performances on Sunday. Then off to the mall for a school chorus concert. Then DD12 had to go to rehearsal for their Spring show.

I love my new camera and being able to take shots without flash.

What kind is the new camera?

Looks like they have zip-line tour in Puerto Vallarta but with a minimum age of 10. May have to look into booking this one on our own.

Roger , let me know if you do look at going your own route , we would be interested cause I know the people who do the Zip Line there website says 6 years old and Destin will be 7 and he wants to do this ...

Its at Oly SP560UZ. 8mp 27-486mm ISO 50-6400. It is a P&S that has a lot of features of a DSLR without carrying around lenses. The shot you saw was from about 50-75ft at ISO 800. I know that is not going to give me the quality of a DSLR but I can have a lot of fun with it. We are going to DL this weekend and I will be able to give it a real test. And best of all I could not beat the price.

Sounds good Todd, Austyn will be just shy of 8 when we go.

Esteri, sorry that I missed it. I may not be the best person to ask this of. We normally do day trips but we have stayed at all three hotels. If you have the money the GC has the best location. I really did not think the rooms were anything special but you are connected to California Adventure and only a 2-3 minute walk (from the lobby not your room) to DL. The DLH is the oldest and really the furthest from the parks (you have to walk the length of DTD to get there but the Monorail does run kind of close to it). It has the best pool (Neverland Pool). They will be starting a major make-over starting after the first of the year but will not be finished until 2010-2012. The Paradise Pier is the cheapest and is kind of separated from the main part of resort. You can walk across the street and through the GCH lobby to the entrance to the parks. PP was remodeled not too long ago and for the money is where we stay if we spend the night. They have a rather plain pool area but do have a water slide that is reminiscent of the Magic/Wonder.

I have put together a pictorial guide to each one of them.
Grand California Hotel
Disneyland Hotel
Paradie Pier Hotel

Let me know if you have any specific questions that I can get answered when we are at the parks.
