Broken thumb from playing football in the street. (But I was afraid Mom wouldn't let me play football anymore, so she thinks I fell in the shower. Shhhhh.)

Well I told the folks in chat that I'd find out where I read that you were not allowed on your verandah during the fireworks & here is a link to a thread in which one Disser states that they were told not to be out there.

I did look at a bunch of Navigators & I noticed it said "No combustible materials on the verandah" on some, but nothing about not being out there during fireworks. Does anyone else remember being told you couldn't be on the verandah?

6) Have you ever broken any bones? How? Fell off my bike in March 2006 and fractured my jaw, hair line fracture to my wrist and thumb. Lots of other injuries too but they were the only bone breaks Oh and for anyone wanting to loose weight, a fractured jaw is the way to go...

7) Do you have a favorite flavor of ice cream (substitute any dessert if desired) I dislike ice cream or anything else really cold including ice. Chocolate mudcake is my dessert of choice.

3) What is your favorite big screen MOVIE? It would have to be the otiginal Star Wars - IV "A New Hope"

4) What was your favorite subject and class in school/college/post grad school? I really enjoied school - I liked my sciences followed very closely by literature and speech (forensics/debate team)... and my favorite class was the intro to Biology sequences with Mr Miller/Mr Jackson

5) Where/how did you 1st meet your SO (or last hot date?) ... I kno ... its' a potentially a loaded question. Alicia stepped into my family's business - asked to buy some stuf - and in the course of selling her she asked "haven't we met before?".... so technically she made a "pass" at me 1st. Her version of the story almost certainly differs.... <chuckels>

6) Have you ever broken any bones? How? Struck by car while riding a bicycle in a 175 mile fundraiser for Multiple Sclorosis. It broke my left hip and right wrist

Knee replacement

Sorry, this got lost in the pirate run last night. In reply to your post.


Knee replacements (both knees) in the future for sure, but what I was referring to, in my post, is the upcoming winter months, cold winter weather and my knees do not go well together. But, my new infrared heating pad sure does help!!!

WOW.....you guys had lots of fun last night!

Well, DD and I managed to make about 6 dozen gingersnaps, a chicken potpie for the freezer and one for dinner last night and then we also made some rolls to go with dinner. We had fun in the kitchen yesterday. I like it when my kids are not too sick to have fun with, it sort of becomes a "bonus" day for me since I had to stay home with her. I hate that she has chicken pox, we really can't go anywhere but on the upside she is not itchy (thank goodness for allergy meds), she is not sick at all, she is just her normal self! She did have some new bumps appear this morning though

I just got back from my 5 mile run this morning and it felt good to be in the cold and crisp air, love the fall! Hope everyone has a great weekend! Here are my 7 question responses:

5) Where/how did you 1st meet your SO (or last hot date?) ... I kno ... its' a potentially a loaded question. Mike came to work for Rubbermaid as a supervisor, I was a trainer. I taught a Basic Process Control class to some of his employees, he attended as well. He made it a point to ask me some stupid questions afterwards and then slyly invited me out for pizza so we could "talk" about it. Best pizza I ever had!

6) Have you ever broken any bones? How? Just torn ligaments in my ankle when I was in 4th grade. We were sliding down a big hill of ice and my ankle just went the wrong way!
