She will be playing at the Boardwalk Hall near Trump Plaza.

I can usually get a comp room at Resorts.

So I had an "anniversey" celebrated a few days ago - and I'm readin' this and wonderin' why MY spouse didn't surprise me by taking ME to a nice camera store to pick up my Canon 40D DSLR? <snif>

That's because you didn't remember that it was your anniversary and do something nice for her - Gotta give to get!

Crash, there have been a couple of times that we've had a large family group that was divided among two sets of wait staff....and it worked out just fine. Our tables were still right next to eachother, and one thing we did the 2nd time, as the kids were a little older, we actually put all the kids at one large table and sat all the adults together...except for the smaller kids. We made sure the servers knew that they would be getting VERY WELL compensated for the fact that they had the kids....and the kids were threatened with their lives to behave as adults...and they did!!

It has been a tough day at work--one of our customers was crossing the street in front of our store and was struck and killed.

I am so sorry you had to experience such a tragedy!

I want to thank everyone for your thoughts,wishes and prayers.
Life is a strange thing..one minute a family is happy....next sadness...

I look at my nana (my uncle's mom). Nana is in her 90's (she won't tell us her age-she says she 29!) and wonder how she could have the strength to get through so much in her life. Watched her husband go into WW2 and he spent nuch time in the service..she began raising her 11 (yes 11 includes 1 set of triplets!) for a good portion on her own. Buries her husban in the 70's and loses a son in the early 80's. She has been relatively healthy except for a stoke that lead to loss of sight in one eye about 2 years ago. Now she buries in one year a beloved daughter in law and now her first born son. That is what I call strength.

I don't know why I am telling this to all of you. (Maybe to-without embarrassing her-give an amazing woman credit) But you are all such wonderful people. You all give such wonderful support for both the good and the bad. I send you all the wish of good karma..you all deserve it.

It is great that you have such a strong role model to look up to! I bet she has some amazing stories to tell about her life growing up & as a young adult.

I think this is a perfect place to discuss your good fortunes & unfortunate circumstances. I am always amazed at the outpouring of good thoughts from everybody here. I completely agree that this is a great bunch!

Did I forget to mention I had my 15 minutes of fame??? I am still not sure why but I volunteered for the Indian Jones Show and was picked. It was a full house and something made me stand up. Poor DH didn't even know as I was heading down towards the stage. He took mostly videos but maybe you can still tell it is me. He is still in shock as this is really not me. I just thought why not. I am the one with the blue hooded costume.

Mark also did this in Feb 05 before our cruise. He is the one with the red sweat shirt under his robes.

All four of us have been in that show. I was in it just a few years after it opened. The year I was picked both DD's were standing on either side of me jumping up and down and pointing down at me. This was way back when we wore colored socks with to match outfits and during the entire show the MC kept calling everyone's attention to my green socks. Both girls were picked the year they turned 18. It's become a family tradition to try to get in when one of the kids is 18. I think that we could all probably fill a book with our own particular Disney family traditions.

It was great meeing you at our mini meet. Hope the rest of your trip was the best.

Guess everyone is busy with life?

Stace, glad to see you are back posting. You must be feeling alot better.

Need to go replace a router. Had bad storms here last night and it appears the phone jack to the vonage phone is not working. Spent close to an hour on the phone last night with tech and finally came to the conclusion it isn't recognizing the phone being plugged in. Other than that it is fine.And of course it is out of warranty. Yet another expense this month. Yikes

Watching the news and OJ is in trouble yet again.Let's see how this unfolds.

Time to get out of here and do something constructive.
