I keep going back & forth with the few extra days in the park. I booked the cat 8 right at my "walk away price". Based on that I decided not to do the DL parks. But, I'm not sure if we'll get back to the DL area any time in the next 5 years.

So it's the struggle of the prudent Lisa v.s. the carefree Lisa.

Take a look at the other hotels and talk to folk on the board. From what Roger and got2travel and others have said, the "off site" hotels are as close or closer to the main enterance and are significantly cheaper (e.g. $100 night).

In fact, if you check the Itinerary section of the website for LA/Port, there are a whole bunch of helpful links. (Sorry, DL Hotel is not worth $300 or more per night - will just cut into the cruise spending)

I have already booked DCL transportation, just in case I feel like being lazy. I need to call DCL & find out if they are providing transportation from the airport only or also from a DL hotel.

Did you guys book a DL hotel yet?

I looked at the DL hotel and it was $600 for two nights. When I added park tickets the price went to $1450

They must be smokin crack at DL

I'm going down w/friends in Dec - they want $345/night for BWI.

I think I'll be staying at POP

My understanding from people on the 2005 is that they do both. Although I read somewhere that they are raising the rate on the DCL transfers. Roger had a good link for a limo/van service for cheaper. Plus some on the thread are looking into busses from the HoJos or DL

Yes, I was hoping I could get in on a group bus. But, I'm still ambivalent.
It would still be a couple hundred dollars more. Maybe I'll wait & see what I get for airfare. I good rate could offset the DL costs.
