I look at it this way, work will always be there and our kids grow up so darn fast.

I just scheduled the first week of September off. I did the same thing when Angelina started Kindergarten, so I figured why not do it the week she starts her Senior Year of high school. I got misty-eyed just thinking about it this morning.

OK, back to work for me..................

I was really happy with my decision. We took vacation in April so I wasn't going to take a summer week off. This opportunity came along & I thought, why not.

I would suggest that anyone needing to correct their birth certificate google "correct birth certificate spelling" without the quotes and a bunch of states pop up

One example given says changing Tracy to Tracey is ok, but Jane to Janet is not. What about Brad to Janet?

I just dropped the boys off. I'm supposed to be on my way to the gym. But when I stopped home I noticed how close we were to turning the next K.

Did you guys book a DL hotel yet?

I looked at the DL hotel and it was $600 for two nights. When I added park tickets the price went to $1450

They must be smokin crack at DL

Great weather for the kids, I ended up helping a friend with a contruction project so I was stuck indoors...

The Ho Jos and other hotels right across the street are much cheaper

Meteor shower? no way.

A few years back I got up at 3 AM on a Fall night & just stood in my driveway with my bathrobe & slippers totally in awe at a meteor belt that was passing.

I have always wanted to share that with my two boys.

Was it a big shower? what time was it?

One of the bigger ones, Perseids (sp??) every year at this time. Sat night was a bit early (peak was last night) but sky was crystal clear and no moon....

I know if you browse the thread around there, Roger (Nutmeg King) corrected the location of the DL hotels.

I keep going back & forth with the few extra days in the park. I booked the cat 8 right at my "walk away price". Based on that I decided not to do the DL parks. But, I'm not sure if we'll get back to the DL area any time in the next 5 years.

So it's the struggle of the prudent Lisa v.s. the carefree Lisa.

In fact, if you check the Itinerary section of the website for LA/Port, there are a whole bunch of helpful links. (Sorry, DL Hotel is not worth $300 or more per night - will just cut into the cruise spending)

No, let them sleep over at friends house, and I'm too nice to force the other parents to keep them up....
