Lastly, and most importantly, I think that unless we cease and desist immediately, the fate of our thread is sealed!

I know alot of you feel as strongly as I do that that SHOULD NOT happen. It would be a crying shame.

So I am BEGGING that certain types of posts (and we all know what I mean here) be conducted through PMs. PLEEEEEEEEEEEASE!!!!!!!!

Hey MR!!! :wave2:

So very well put as usual. This was always such a fun place to come...now it seems to be a powder keg. Your suggestion for PMs is brilliant!!!

Hope everyone is having a great Monday. I just got back from the doctors...I have yet another ear infection. Yech. So, DD is pampering me with some TLC and we're going to watch a movie...if I have my say, it will be one of the POCs. ;)

Hi Karen!:yay:

Sorry to hear that you're not feeling well - I really really really hate ear infections. Here's some pixiedust: for a quick recovery!

Happy Monday everyone!

I survived all the zuccini bread baking. Today I sent one to work with DH, brought one to work with me, gave one to the next door neighbor who loaned me a couple of her loaf pans and kept one out at home to eat. The other SIX are being frozen for later use! :thumbsup2 (Cheryl - If I come anywhere near Schaumburg, I'll bring one to you.)

Actually, I have a question for you Cheryl - why are you a Sox fan? Schaumburg is definitely more North than South! :rotfl2: (For those non-Chicago area folks - traditionally, the north-side is the diehard Cubs fans and the south-side is the diehard Sox fans. I'm from due West of the city, so I have always cheered for both! ... but please, please, please do not make me actually watch a game :rotfl2: )

I got a really good photo of Grandma eating her plate of ribs - so this is her on her 99th birthday!

Well, it's either you or that $1500 6'3" life size statue of CJS that I saw on the disney shopping website that my DH won't let me get because it isn't, ummmm, quiet correct :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:!

Not so life size since the real CJS is not anywhere near 6'3"

We so lucked out. She was a quasi-rescue, was a mother who took her 20 year old daughters dog away since she was in a "no pets allowed" apartment complex, had gotten no shots, no neuter, etc. and we were introduced by a mutual friend....

She is wonderful, thinks she is a lap dog sometimes, can't play fetch (better at keep away), loves "her kids", her bad side is climbing on the counter to look for food and eating whatever she can find (usually a loaf of bread)....
Sound so much like my Gracie. She is a Weimeraner. I was just discussing with someone this morning how she can't seem to get the concept of fetch. She needs so much exercise and this would be a perfect way for her to get it. He is also a counter surfer. We have learned to not leave anything around and to shut all the doors to the rooms because she also loves tissues and all the garbage cans have lids except she has learned to step on the foot lever and manages to get stuff out of them if we aren't looking. But she is really relaxed for the most part. She even knows when dinner is going to start and heads for her cage. And at night time she does the same thing. With out being asked.

I'm playing major ketchup here!

I just wanted to say hi MR:wave: I've missed you and then I miss your posting! I can't win. Hope you had fun at the Police concert. I saw Sting many years ago and whoa, baby! He has aged very well.

Ok back to reading.
Hi Tina. Good to see you.

Hi Karen,
Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. Hope you feel better soon. I will wave my wand over some good wishes for you.

Pamela, your Grandma looks fabulous. Mark's grandma lived to be 99. She lived alone and took care of herself really well. She lived as long as she wanted to. We swear she decided when was time and just let go. We think she just really missed her husband.
They are awesome role models aren't they

Good afternoon! We are taking a break at the hotel for awhile. We have been doing so much walking these last few days trying to see all the sights. We took the subway down to the WTC site this morning, walked to Little Italy for lunch and then all along Canal street (I think if I had one more person ask me about a purse I could have slugged them!!) to catch the subway again. I want to try to make a carraige ride through Central Park later this evening after we get a little rest. This is one busy city!! It is so hard to believe that we will be leaving to come home tomorrow evening. We have really seen so much. But I have to say the highlight was meeting and spending time with our friends.:)

MR how was the concert yesterday? I hope you had a wonderful time--the weather was great.:)

I'm pretty sure that you're thinking about the space that became the Disney Gallery (which was designed to be a family apartment). Club 33 was always intended to be Club 33, as far as I know.

Oops, sorry, yes, the Gallery was supposed to be the apartment. Got my upstairs areas confused.

Monica,

I can't remember if I posted any kind of a TR on here or not - once you're all ketched up let me know and if I didn't I'll put something together tonight (when I'm not goofing off at work).

Thanks Lorri.....missed ya hun....as I kept reading I saw a few more pics and everyone saying they had a great time, but no specifics. You know we all live vicariously through each others mini meets.
