Glad to hear that this seems to be a computer glitch... But honestly, I don't expect the itinerary to be set until a month or two before we go (and even then I imagine that there could be changes due to weather).

And then y'all are bringing lots of folks like me who have the "best" luck with weather (see sig lines below...)

:lmao: :lmao:

Checking in from Mountain Home, Idaho

I just wanted to tell you how much I am enjoying your blog. :thumbsup2 The photos are beautiful and it is a lot of fun to read.

Ughh! I have been puppy-sitting all week .... I'm dogged out

My parents took my son on an intergenerational elderhostel (again!) and left their 6 month old Gordon Setter with DH & I. On the plus side, he has been "cured" of wanting a dog for a while! :thumbsup2

This dog is just totally insane. He is actually a little better than when they first got him about 2 months ago. Presumably, he will eventually calm down. Part of the problem is that he spent his first 3 months in a cage - he was a rescue (started out at a puppy mill, then was at a pet store until the Gordon Setter rescue group around here spotted him. He had kennel cough and a few other problems and they convinced the pet store to let them have him for what they paid the puppy mill.) The rescue folks kept him for a few weeks while they got him healthy again and then my parents adopted him. He is cute as can be, very energetic and loves everyone - but he is also totally insane!

He just went home about an hour ago and it is soooo much more peaceful in the house. We have 6 cats and 1 dog is about 10 times more noisy! He'll be back for the last 2 weeks of July :scared: because my parents are going to Germany. At least it is summer and he can spend a lot of time outside!

I own my own pet sitting business. I just cannot bear to see people take their dogs or cats to a kennel. This week I had five jobs. I have a large clientele and my clients plan their trips around my schedule. I stay at their homes so the pets are in their own environment. Most of my pets live in the same gated community so it is easy to go from house to house. I love my job.

Oh and by the way I have already notified them that I will be away next August and part of September for TOAL. They have already rearranged their schedule.

Gosh, It's only 11 pm west coast time. I'm in Portland, OR. I logged on all excited and nobody was left in chat. Oh well.

The trip is good so far. We are visiting friends in OR tomorrow then heading to somewhere between here and Salt Lake City on Sunday.

I don't have much time for ketchup - I hope all is well with everyone.

Have a safe trip driving.

Evening Everyone!!!

Hope you all had a great weekend.

I have friends who are leaving on the 4th for the 070707 Med Cruise. I am jealous!!! Fortunately they do not have to go thru Heathrow. I hope they have a good time! I am sure they will. I will be expecting on board reports from them and they know it.

Have a great evening!!!

We were on the Western turned Eastern with you in 2006. The only DCL cruise we've been on. So, we're batting 1000 with itinerary changes. Consequently, I rather expect one. :rotfl:

We switched from kennel to pet sitter when our now 13+ yo came home from the kennel hoarse, and with a sore on her nose. Not the kennel's fault, it's a really good one. And she'd been kennelled before with no trouble - but she'd reached an age where it didn't agree with her any longer. So, we baby gate the three of them into the kitchen, and put a doggie door into the patio door out of the kitchen. (It goes to the dog run.) Our pet sitter looks in twice a day to feed. And my brother is next door in case of any real trouble. It works well - and is actually cheaper than the kennel for three large dogs.

We applied for my son's passport on Friday April 13. Got it in the mail today - 11 weeks, 2 days. The sent it Priority Mail even though we didn't pay for expedited shipping. They also put a note in there that the supporting documents (birth certificate, custody paper, etc) would arrive separately via regular mail.

Too bad my son doesn't need it now. I've decided he's not going on the Med repo. I'm hoping to take my mom. She has now decided that she needs to think it over and she's not sure if she can go. :confused3 She's retired, no job to think about. They've got tons of money, no issue there. Her passport is current. My brother lives at home and can take care of my dad. My son will be staying with my friend. So what gives? Well, she's only got 6 weeks to pack. Oh yeah, she'll miss 3 weeks of bowling. These are only my thoughts, she didn't give me a reason.

I will be in by twelve noon and I am renting a car. Hopefully you give us a time since you have PP party that night. Arlene will be there and I hope David(Diapp) Steph5, Babaravillages and whoever else we can get. Thought maybe Earl of Sandwhich in Downtown Disney. I am trying to be kind on everyone's pocket book so we all have lots of money for TOAL.

We love the Earl of Sandwich! We can do that. :thumbsup2

And then a few days later exiting the autograph area at Toontown Fair

WE WON AGAIN

This time it again wasn't the Disney Cruise or 160 DVC points but the exclusive Mouse Ears

MagicKingdom118.jpg

Both times the Dream Team was waiting in the exit line, dressed in colors simliar to those in the ears above. They gave these out to everyone that came through until they ran out.

Those hats are sooooo cool! :thumbsup2

This is what you find under that banner ..... except for those people (my family) :lmao:

We are staying with friends in Portland - had a great night last night, we went out for a great dinner & Norah Jones concert. They even found a babysitter for us. Life is good.

Oh, in the midst of everything else, I forgot to post mine...see what happens when you mention tattoos Judy? :)

Glad the trip is going well so far & nice tatoo! ;)

Here are thumbnail prints of the three poses we selected of Angelina's Senior Portraits. The proof with her holding the white rose will be going into the school yearbook. Hazel and I also selected that pose and the pose in the cap and gown to be made into an 11" x 14" composite for our livingroom wall. The third pose will be made into wallet size pics.

I am now busy on designing an ad for the high school yearbook at Angelina's request. I just have to wait until her portraits to arrive so I can finish. I have a feeling this is going to be one busy and expensive year..............

OMG she look sooooo beatiful in those pics Andy! princess:

Just dropping by to say Hi! The threads sure is quiet, but at least it means I can ketchup! Week-end has been frantic as DH was working because of the current desire for people to blow things up...I do wish they'd ask first - this was the first week-end for ages we had nothing planned so hoped to chill & recharge the batteries. At least no innocent people were hurt & for that we can all be thankful. Enjoy what's left of the week-end.

Verandahman - the pics are amazing.

My DB is also extremely busy working overtime because they beefed up security at the airport here. Glad nobody was hurt also, but very scary stuff! :scared:

My mom called me from Kentucky this morning to let me know that Walt's son David (early 50's) passed away from colon cancer.

My mom arrived home in Florida last Wednesday afternoon and by Thursday morning, she and Walt were headed for Kentucky where they arrived Friday afternoon.

David's wife asked Walt to tell David it was OK to let go and be with his mother, while my mom and Walt visited David yesterday. David took a turn for the worse overnight and passed away early this morning. The funeral is set for Friday, then My mom and Walt will be heading back to Florida on Saturday morning.

Lunch time is over, got to get back to the meters, I don't want my helper thinking I forgot about him, LOL!!!

So sorry to hear such sad news Andy! Sending my best to your mother, Walt, & family. :grouphug:

We've always had a "baby sitter" come to the house for our dogs when we go on vacation. I wish you were closer to Baltimore! :thumbsup2

Wow!

Almost three hours without a single post. :confused3

I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone again for the encouragement when I was wrestling with the decision on taking my mom or my misbehaving son on my Med trip. I made the decsion to take my mom and it is even more reinforced now. She called me tonight to say she decided to go and what was holding her back was worry about my son. She felt like she should stay home to help take care of him and I should go with a friend. See, that's what motherhood is all about. I love my mom and now I am so glad I get to do this for her. I have assured her that my son will be fine. The rest of the family will be home to help him out if needed. But I have every confidence in my friend who will be watching him.

I get to take my mom to Europe...:cool1:
Now maybe I'll be able to convince her to keep her ressie on this trip. She's booked but we forgot that next year is our family reunion. And next year is our turn to plan it all. But once she experiences a Disney cruise, she may get hooked. She's already been on 8 cruises, just no DCL.

....out to have some pirate: 's fun...tootles doves.

...some of these show & tell questions ..arrrgh interesting.....
are you a roamatic versus a rhomatic? is ther's a difference?....

does one have to be an italian?..to bee a real rome-matic?

I does make a difference if you are Italian.:woohoo: Just ask DH because he is Italian!!!:thumbsup2

Have a great Monday

Hey Liz, I hope you plan on attending our little mini meet on Labor Day too!!! We are all going to meet at Earl of Sandwich!!!:woohoo: Just pm me for more details or when time is closer.:yay: :cool1:

I made ribs last night and they were AWFUL but it was my own fault i didn't follow the recipe that i got from Esteri on Friday night.. .. I am willing to try again but only with a proven recipe. I think I am going to throw out the left over ribs if no one will eat them at dinner tonight. It was funny 'cause Eric was very concerned that I didn't have enough ribs only 1/2 slab for each.... each boy wanted a slab at least and now I have slab and 1/2 left over..LOL they were really BAD.

I guess I missed the recipe on chat.:sad2: Have you ever tried ketchup,BEER, and sugar???:confused3 :confused3 The sauce makes the ribs fall offf the bones.:woohoo:

Oh Sheez! I've been forgetting to post the Pirate Joke of the Day! How come someone didn't yell at me, remind me gently, or something?

This one of for M - who's definitely on the road...

pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate:
Why didn't the pirate cross the road?
pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate:
Because it was made of tarrrrrrr.

See we did miss you and the pirate jokes!!!:goodvibes

I applied for mine on April 11.:sad1: I guess you have some influence in the government. :rolleyes1 I am still not so patiently waiting.:headache:

We love the Earl of Sandwich! We can do that. :thumbsup2

Then it is a date Brack for all of us Disers!!!! We will pick a time just before the trip unless you have one now???? I am not sure what time your PP is that night?:confused3

I just read this last post before I turn in !!! I am so happy your Mom is going with you!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: Sounds like you are going to have some great bonding time with your Mom. :thumbsup2 Sometimes children have to learn the hard knocks of life before they realize how good they have it!!!:rolleyes1

I'm so glad that this all worked out. Your son will learn that there is a point beyond which you can't be pushed and you get some serious relaxation and quality time with your mom.

You will bring back a trip report or at least stories? Enjoy your trip.

Hey Crew -
On a whim I logged onto the DCL site and looked up my ressie. (Curious to see if cabins had been assigned. :lmao: They haven't.)
The itinerary for the cruise shows NO port calls after the Panama Canal. Aruba and Cartegna have been removed from the itinerary.

We have a cabin number - I can't remember what it is but we do have one.

I really hope we are stopping in Cartegena - thats the one I'm most looking forward too.
