it is the sunset that is the portal so his one day would be sunset to sunset & the green flash is simply the ship going through the portal. DS says only one ship can go through & it is at sunset. It flashed green when he left too.

How did you get around bringing a sword on the Magic?

Seriously, I'm sure Todd knows how to get his sword on the Magic . . .

I have two swords ...one is a full sword ...th other has been cut down and rubberized for your protection

Remember this will be August in LA HOT so everyone will probably be wearing shorts, therefore the captain may only be able to smuggle his short sword not risking the full one being spotted.

Todd, we had a CJS at our movie theater too. He looked good from a distance, but up close he was ok. Some people did dress up and one girl had on a really nice jacket. We wore our Pirate t's. (That was an adventure in itself!)


Liked your transformation pics. DD was awed by them.

I told dd that that CJS wasn't as good as you and she said the guy on the computer? (From previous pics you posted.) I said yes. Than she said our CJS is better and we get to sail with him for 15 days! So looks like you've been adopted!

It was never explained if it was just 10 years then your service was done ....If anything it was forever and only being able to be on land Once every ten years .....If your theory is true , then what would become of the Flying Dutchman ??? It needs and must have a Captain ...What about Wills Heart ?? Its still in the Chest ...Once your bound to the Dutchman you are bound to it till the heart is stabbed ....I know your referring to the Play ...But I am basing my theory on the POTC script....they took the consept of the Flying Dutchman and ran with it ...so sticking with the POTC script then he is bound to the Dutchman forever ...kinda like the same thing as Calypso ...Yes she is a mythical thing creature goddess or whatever you want to call her , but they did go there on way with her as well .....most all questions will be answered when Pirates of the Caribbean : Curse of the Dead Mans World comes out ...





Edit ....after doing some extensive research ...there was a key scene that was cut from the Movie between Davy Jones and Tia (calypso) ....after finding out what the scene intailed , I have to say now the the Curse of the Flying Dutchman on Will has been broken after the ten years ...

Going off topic here......

I am spending next week in beautiful Memphis. (I'll be taking a course at UT.) Does anyone have any recommendations for good BBQ? I'll be staying downtown and will not have a car. PM me if you have any suggestions. (The folks here have either never been to Memphis or have no idea what real & good BBQ is.) Thanks!

Evening all !!

Pleased to announce that after 4 days of constant rain here in the UK, the sun came out late this afternoon.

As a result, Alex and Bethan have been out in the back garden for over an hour celebrating (playing on their bikes actually).

Had a nice surprise in the post today, a DVC DVD advertising the new-build at the Animal Kingdom Villas. Unfortunately, as it's Region 1 coded we can't watch it on the TV so me and Helen are just about to settle down and watch it on the computer - have any USA members received this DVD yet??

DD adopted you! She gets $4.00 allowance a week! She can't even pay her own way. She did swear allegiance to CJS last fall in WDW and has the certificate to show for it. Of course when she doesn't want to do something she informs me she's a pirate!
