Really she is that upset? I thought it was all very romantic! Just a little different kind of happily ever after. More bittersweet, but that is what makes it special.

Thanks Tina, went down this road already, ended up at a web site called keep to the code .com and so on till we got to the writers web site. Much discussion about this. Many theories about the ending. Wife is really upset. I think I'll have a Margarita!

This story is based on the German Opera called the "Flying Dutchman". In the Opera, when the Capatain returns after 10 years and he finds that his true love is still there waiting for him the curse is broken and he is able to remain with her forever.

This was not true for Davy Jones.

I think Will is back to stay with his true love.

Wife very depressed about this ending, very difficult to live and deal with, I'm hearing things like "well if that's the way they want to end the movie I do not have to participate in pirate night (steam coming out of ears)"

I'm having a very dificult time dealing with this.

HELP!

Why is she depressed ...it was a great ending ......you have to understand all the movies to get it , but really is a classic love story ending .....she will be alright ....just tell her that they are going to make another one ..but it wont be out till 2010 or 11 ....then she doesnt have to worry ...
