We are currently in Chesapeake, Virginia visiting our friends (and our adopted Grand Daughter) and going to the wedding of the son of another friend. It was a cute wedding.

We have to come back here next weekend for another wedding. The next one is going to be on the beach in Virginia Beach. That ought to be pretty cool. I'll have my camera for that one. :surfweb:

Brack - I hope next week is warmer down in Virginia Beach for the wedding. I was down there this weekend and it was chilly and raining just a bit. Most Saturdays I drive down from Williamsburg, VA just to go and sit on the beach and soak up the sun. It is nice and relaxing.

I am looking for the actual debate part of the question here... BEACH, SAND, SUN, 80's... OF COURSE YOU DO!!!!!!!:beach:

It's part Catholic guilt and part work ethic. It's not like I don't have the time. Damn my parents!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Hello Everyone!

Happy belated Birthday Keegan and Mike!:cake:

Hope all you wenches enjoyed the day yesterday.

Happy belated Mothers Day!:)

I wish that we would go back to the way the schedule was before this year. The kids got out 2nd week in May & went back August 5. We could go places the end of May/begining of June without the crowds. The legislature is considering changing it back for the 2008/09 school year. Isn't that convenient? My kids will just miss the first 3 weeks of school for this TOAL then.

If you like those schedules, don't ever move to Jersey. We go back right after Labor Day and get out 2nd to 3rd week of June....:confused3

Oh by the way, anyone who booked with the Disney Visa, check with DCL to make sure you get the 50.00 SBC. Since they were so rushed , the agents didn't mention it to the booking agents.

Does the SBC show up with deposit or once you have paid off trip?

Exactly why I wish I'd (or one of my kids) taken Spanish instead of French. But we get it here everyday....just walking into a Circle K. I really want to know what they're saying about me! Or...maybe I don't want to know.

Una cerveza por favor.

Donde esta el bano?

All you need to know..... :lmao:

For the record: I'm not overcompensating. All of my crazy activities are just a futile attempt to not get old. And carpe diem and whatnot.

Ever wonder if that might backfire and being so active will make you older sooner.... :confused3

Heck, I'll tell people that we don't have indoor plumbing, it is -20 and dark year-round, and there are bears in our backyard.

Scary thing is, there are parts of New Jersey that don't have indoor plumbing and have bears in back yard.....

You've got 15 months - plenty of time for someone in your party to legally change their name to Andy, Hazel, Angelina or Vi VerandahClan.

Don't we have a lawyer around here somewhere????

Yes {starting billable hour clock, our agreed upon rate was $300 per hour - quick calculation = 20 hours to cover TOAL balance} This should take about 20 hours of research...... :lmao: :lmao:

As long as you can honestly answer that you are not changing your name for fraud... no problem...

DH came home yesterday afternoon! YAY! I didn't think he would be back until mid-week. The boys and I had to run out to buy his birthday presents & fixin's for birthday dinner - since his birthday was last week! I don't do Mother's Day, so it was nice to have a diversion -we had birthday dinner!

Today is my last day of work...snarfle!

Hey M. - I love - love - love your sense of humor - I so relate w/you I am really looking forward to meeting you.
I was a very active Mom when my kids were young. Although I worked - I was still the den mom, girl scout leader, little league team mom, soccor mom, etc. In those days I was the exception - working vs SAHM - and a lot of the SAHM's couldn't find the time to be invoved w/their kids. Their loss!

What do you mean "was" active? It sounds like you're still going full speed! I'm looking forward to meeting you too!

My mom was the SAHM scout leader, skating team manager, baseball team mom, room mom, PTA somethingorother, etc. I only volunteer for jobs that enable me to spend time with my kids. I don't do paperwork/organizing jobs. I am a professional fundraiser (really!), so the kids groups always want to rope me into that. I offer to advise & get out of the way. PTA isn't even an option - they have the meetings at 10 am on a school/work day and wonder why the same 10 moms do everything. :confused3 I actualy don't DO that much. I'm a scout leader, hockey coach & I can usually make 1-2 field trips a year.

My next task is to buy a glass computer desk because the moving company is much more careful with glass items than anything else. Actually, they send out a specialty company to dismantle, secure and crate up anything like glass tabletops, DS's antique firetruck push pedal car etc. Pretty sad that I have to buy stuff based on whether or not the movers can destroy it. :sad2:

Isn't that amazing? The movers take much greater care of my $100 tempered glass patio table than my antique dining room table.

If you like those schedules, don't ever move to Jersey. We go back right after Labor Day and get out 2nd to 3rd week of June....:confused3

That's what school was like in Ohio when I was a kid.
My kids are going to have a LONG summer vacation this year - out mid-May in Alaska, back to school after Labor Day in VA/MD.

I WISH someone would pay me $300 an hour to sit around and make stuff up.

Ever wonder if that might backfire and being so active will make you older sooner.... :confused3

No, but now that I think about it, maybe the heavy drinking will keep me young instead.

We're Iowa-ish, Juneau is South Carolina-ish.

See what you can learn on the Dis?

Good evening good afternoon hope everyones fine, Birthdays not updated so Happy birthday to anyone with a birthday today Monday 14th or Tuesday 15th.

Happy Monday all. Wishing you all a great week.

The question of the day is, do I want to take a vacation day tomorrow and hit the beach? Suppose to be in the 80's on Tuesday. I need to decide by noon, so that I can tell the boss. This pastey white skin is looking pretty bad. Hmmmmm.........

So Earl won Survivor. On to the AI Finals.

Ketchup later.

But what will temp at beach be?

Unless you're shopping:
¿Cuánto ese coste? (How much is that?)

No puedo pasar que mucho dinero (I can't spend that much money)

¿Qué manera a la nave grande del Ratón? (Which way to the big Mouse ship)
