We're in and booked for short 7 day on the Magic in Feb '08 and then for the long voyage in Aug'08 Can't wait. Anyone going for the TOT run?pirate:

Welcome! Boy you sure are on the ball since you already have the banner! Count me out of an TOT runs. I'm afraid to even try it. :scared:

For the past month our ST has said she wasn't going to the high school JR.-SR. prom on May 18th. This afternoon, our ST announces she was asked to go to the prom and that she needs a new dress, new shoes, a hair appointment made, a fingernail appointment made, and reserve a limo. My reply was, "OK, go out in the backyard." She looked puzzled and asked, "Why?" To which I replied, "So you can pick some more $$$$ off the tree." Needless to say, she didn't see any humor in that. Nor, did she like it when I said, "You won't be going anywhere, if your mother and I don't meet who you are planning on going with, first." I'm also at a disadvantage this time, the boy is not from our town, so I don't know anything about the family either. This ST of mine is getting slick..............

Hi Everyone!

I'm afraid I have been MIA for well over a month or so :( ... I'm afraid that life just got out of hand for a while. I suspect that I will not EVER be able to ketchup now!

Thanks to everyone for the b-day wishes for DS. I showed him a few this morning and he thought they were really cool. He is 8 today. We had his Pirate Party on Sunday with 14 other kids  - the weather was great and I think they all had a great time. My MIL organized all the games/activities for the kids. The most popular was a game called "bombs away" - she made a pirate ship out of a large box (the Black Pearl of course) and teams of kids threw plastic balls at it (the "bombs") and the team that got the most inside the box won. We also had a treasure hunt for the kid's loot bags. If I get a chance in the next day or two, I'll post a couple photos.

I hope all is well with all our DIS friends here. I miss reading what everyone is up to each day! Life just has been very full lately - we are busy at work, DH is in the middle of a major renovation on our house, DS is always busy and since it is springtime, we also have a huge time comitment to our Garden Club. Our plant sale is in a few weeks and my DF runs the committee for that, so we are VERY involved. I am in charge of ALL labels of all plants - so far I have well over 2000 labels with probably around another 1000 to make.

Thank you to whoever has been doing the summaries! I have "stopped by" here a few times in the last month and read the summaries and a page or two. It is a little frustrating since I wish I could read more, but it is nice to get the highlights!

Andy--

Is this the "Friend" from the movies the other night?

And neither has anything I've been posting is the point.

But, you know, when I start caring this much about what people think of me on a web board, I think it is time for me to go back to RL.

We just take everything in fun.:lmao: Life is too serious!!! :sad2: JR just keep posting. I don't think anything was meant to be negative towards any one person.:grouphug:

I have been catching up around the house then read thru the manual & did the training jobs for the transcription work I am trying to get. I am now waiting for the evaluations from those jobs. That is why I have been away for a few days. I am trying to be at a point where I will have time to give to get use to the job if it starts soon so that I will be able to handle it once the kids get out of school & there are more distractions around here.

I thought I wished you luck but multi-post hasn't always been working. :confused3 I have been losing posts.:sad2: Do I say break a finger to get the job instead of break a leg??? Seriously I hope you get the job!!!

Hi John, glad you are joining our thread.:)

Please DO NOT ENCOURAGE HIM. I could have created a monster!!!:rotfl2:

:wave2: "pirate: ", & a big hello to moushouseman! welcome aboard

:hippie: ..i'll tell you what i really like about mic " :mickeyjum " ~
mse2003...she doesn't mess around..in telling how she feeling,
not shy in confronting problems, but most of all ...she puts all her heart
in helping others...of course, you already know all of this...& how
good a nurse she would've been...:confused3 does she ever let her
"hair" down?

..like dancing on tables and other a sorta "juicy" behaviors..or was you
funnier....around? popcorn:: ..me also like happy people!

does she ever get.... , and would that include throwing things?

He picked mouse house because everywhere you look there is Mickey. He knows he is #2 and Mickey is #1.:lmao:

I think I am safe as he can't post pictures because he is a newbie.:rolleyes1 You all should have know me in my younger days. I could out drink anyone when it came to Zombies!!:woohoo: I guess I can't lie because I do not know what he will say but I have been known to stomp my feet. Maybe an item or two went flying across the room>

TOAL= TRIP OF LIFETIME which will be the Panama East Bound Cruise.

Congrats on the 1000th post!!!!

You have shared lots of words of wisdom!! That is why you are Cricket on the board!!!:rolleyes1

don't quit:

when things go wrong,as they sometimes will,
when the road you're trudging seems all up hill,
when the funs are lopw, and the depts are high,
and you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
when care is pressing you down a bit,
rest if you must, but son't you quit.
life is odd with its twist and turns,
and many a failure turns about,
when he might have won had he stuck it out;
don't give up though the pcae may seem slow,
you may succeed with another blow.
sucess is failure turned inside out,
the silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
and you never can tell how close you are,
it may be near when it seems so far;
so stick to the fight when you're hardeast hit,
irs when things seem worse,
that you must not quit.

I love this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome John we were needed some more swabbies.

Fortunately we only have one computer at home and I call dibbs on it.:rotfl2:

Andy--

Is this the "Friend" from the movies the other night?

Nope, a different fellow. This might sound complicated, this boy, is the friend of Angelina's friend's date for the prom. So, a friend, of a friend, of a friend is the best way to describe it, which makes this dad a wee bit nervous. That's why Hazel and I want to meet him first. Of course, we are being overly protective "AGAIN" according to our ST.

The fellow from the movies the other night, turned out to be just a friend afterall, ST said there wasn't any bells or whistles going off between them.

Hey John (Cheryl's DH),

If you run into trouble posting pics, let me know, I can post some for you until you are able to do so, it's my way of thanking Cheryl for the tip about THERA-GESIC............:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hey Crew,

DS10 got a new hair cut. We decided the best way to fight his massive cowlick was to just shave it all off. We were talking flat top, but he decided on a crew cut when he got to the barber. Here are before and after pictures. What a difference!

DS10's class is getting ready for their big field trip this year - 3 days and 2 nights at Malakoff Diggings - one of the largest hydralic mines from the California Gold Rush. We (I'm chaperoning) have to dress in period clothing, and participate in period activies - tin smithing, wood working, blacksmithing, candle dipping, etc. I'm in charge of the scavanger hunt (OK, not everything is period.) It's Monday-Wednesday of next week. I'm looking forward to it.

Say, anyone want to cover the Pirate Joke of the Day while I'm gone. I've been doing such a lousy job recently anyway all y'all should just fire me.
TTFN!

Sounds like a great trip. what a fun thing!!! You can just play catch-up on the boards when you get back. I don't think anyone could replace you on the pirate jokes.:rotfl2:

You have to wait a bit for the music to start... and you only get to see pictures if you sign up as my friend (hint hint). Sorry, the music is long so the first time you get to my page it takes a minute or so for the music to load then start playing. I did add a button on there though that you can turn it off if you want. :)

Can you pm me with the web site??? I would love to read it. :thumbsup2

Morning All !!

Thought I'd take 5 minutes

The "White Rabbits" is said on the 1st of May in the UK - tell me if you do the same in the USA !! :flower3:

Best wishes for today

David

Okay David no one that I know or ever said WHITE Rabbits!!! Are you sure you are feeling okay????:lmao: :lmao: :hippie:

Hey Andy - one year on a cruise - my DS ST 17 at the time was a runner - I had several people on the cruise saying Hi to him on his runs - he's easy to spot - he was about 5'7" tall, thin and a red head - with no freckles - he stood out and still does - he had a curl hair afro - all the rage at the time - by the 4 day he was asking me to call off the watchdogs as they were popping up all over the place - didn't help that he was caught by one girls father as they were 'examining the stars'

Dad was a good sport - thawed out after DS apologized and told him his DD was so beautiful that he couldn't resist the "Magic" :lmao: :rotfl2:

I swear it worked! :thumbsup2

Hi Laura, How is my table mate doing???:confused3

Istill use the word COOL too. Does this cool date us?

Karen

I say coooooool too. I used that from the 60's!!! or groovy.

I saw these and figured some Boston folk might enjoy (maybe should have been the pirate joke of day?):

What does a pirate from Boston say?

AHHHHHHHHHHH!

:lmao:

We are a kinder, gentler pirate (that enjoys massages) pirate: pirate:

A-ha! It's the friend-of-a-friend double date set up. Got it.

Are you secretly relieved that the friend from the movies really is just a friend?

Hello All :wave2:
* Update Warning and it's a downer. *
First- Thank you for the birthday wishes. Not much of a celebration here but there is worse things in life. My DD Brooke is devastated. She dropped Dante last night and he got hurt bad. After talking with the vet last night, he told me to bring him in first thing this morning. Dante will be spending the night in the hospital as he needs a implant in his knee. Can you relate Andy?

and can't wait till this is all over with.

needed to vent, thanks for listening.

I am sending lots of pixiedust pixiedust: to help. Hope we see you soon.:thumbsup2

We have an old 45 jukebox.
AMi_C2.jpg

Looks just like this one. It is so fun to listen to the oldies on it. You can even purchase newer music on 45's but it just isn't the same.

Use to also have an Peacock Bubbler Jukebox that played 78's. It was beautiful but needed to much repair.

OMG I am so jealous!!!!! That is way too cool!!!!:cool1:

Um does it count that I at least know what they are?:rotfl2:

Just got off of phone with DH. He is a little bummed. The TOAL is still a long time away. Am I the only one who hasn't made a payment yet but the deposit?:confused3

You mean you have to pay before its due???:lmao: :lmao: I won't be sending money til I have to.:rotfl2:

Evening all from the UK !!

After a day that could have gone really bad in work it ended up as fairly quiet :)

In my office we had 18% of the staff on strike but in another office a mile away 74% of the staff stayed away.

Anyway, as a reward for being in early I decided to finish at 4:00pm. However, having got home I now realise that my Volvo needs polishing and the front lawn needs cutting so here we go !! :sad2:

Speak to you al later.

David

David do you ever really work?????
