I used to be a big beer drinker (and have the gut to prove it), but once I had kids, I had to switch to the stronger stuff.

I've had a case of Iron City in my fridge downstairs for close to a year.

Hi Karen--my knee is still quite sore and stiff this morning, we are having a great deal of rain moving through our area today, which doesn't help. Didn't sleep very well last night either. I did order one of the heating pads, figured it couldn't hurt anything but my bank account............

I don't know about you, but my knees started killing me in middle of night, and that was just former runner's arthritic pain. These crazy fronts just bring it on....

Hope you didn't feel it.

And of course, we need more rain here in NJ.........NOT!!!

Oh, please, sir, you are being far too modest. I fall way short of your awesome powers to annoy and my annoyance skills are not worthy of even being mentioned in the same post as yours.

One bit of good news, just received a call from the orthopedic doc's receptionist, my appt has been moved up to next Friday May 4th!!!

Excellent!!! Whilst there, ask if he can give a prescription for a 2 week PC cruise in August of 08 so you can take off work as "work related illness" and write it off taxes as a required medical procedure!

Can't believe DD makes her first communion in just a few weeks.

How exciting for your dd! My nephew is making his the Saturday before Mother's Day as well. I will be praying for your dd and Lisa's ds during this special time.

Thanks Mary, it's time for a pain pill then I'm off to bed. Can't take the pain pills during the day because of work, so I save them for after work and at bedtime. It worked well last night, so much so, that I overslept this morning...............

Andy.....I think I have an idea of the pain you are talking about, although I didn't experience it myself. My dad had terrible knee pain until his knee surgery about 18 months ago. He is completely pain free now. He said the surgery and recovery were not that bad, certainly less painful than what he had been experiencing on a daily basis. I hope this works out for you as well.

That was my plan if my vacation is denied next year, I will just have some manditory surgery done prior to TOAL with recovery on the ship. I have on my list knee or hip replacement or vascular surgery on my other leg. Hope that it does not come to that but need all of them just been putting them off.
