Lucky you. We're past the stress stage. We did decide to cancel our vacation for this year and need to break the news to the kids since they were looking forward to Yellowstone. We're probably going to tell them about the cruise now and let them know we are trying to pay for it. It worked out well last winter b/c they understood why we were cutting back on other things and they agreed the cruise was worth saving money for.

it was apparently the 'spring youth football festival' and the kid was down there with his dad. There's a story on espn.com, including this quote:
It was kind of scary cause I got bonked by the football, the boy said, hugging his own football. It kind of hurted.

Hi everyone! We just got back from Hilton Head. In hindsight I wish we didn't bother going. It was nice there, but the driving back & forth was very stressful. Especially on the way down when we hit heavy winds in the Carolinas. I did do quite a bit of the driving & actually most of the driving on the way home. Mike did get a chance to golf, we went on a dolphin cruise, we took a trip to Savannah for the day & ate at Paula Deen's restaurant, & otherwise just hung out at the pool. I never did feel really relaxed though & I think it was worrying about Mike's health & knowing we had to drive back home. Traffic was horrendous through Washington last night & through NY & most of CT today. As much as I hate flying....I've decided I hate driving so much more!![]()
Anyway...when it rains it pours. I hate to keep sharing nothing but bad news with you all, but I just got word that my mother suffered another heart attack. She has already had two major heart surgeries & she has emphazema which requires her to be on oxygen at all times. She is refusing treatment & has decided that she does not want to fight anymore. She has not been a happy person for a few years now & I think this is the final straw. My sisters are there with her, but the doctors say that if she is refusing breathing and other treatments, that she is not going to make it. It looks like I might be flying out to Orlando first thing tomorrow morning. I have not been close with my mother for some time now due to long standing issues, but I would not feel right if I did not have a chance to say goodbye.![]()
Don't know when I'll have time to catch up here, but I hope everyone is well!![]()

Just a quick remark...
Well, I think a tornado survival kit would have to include a really, really, strong harness, some chains and maybe a big slab of concrete to anchor yourself into.

Well... any Disney Cruise is a bargain as it is guaranteed to deliver PRICELESS experiences and memories... plus we'll all get to traverse this mythical voyage with old friends from the DIS, right?
Now... how on Earth can you assign a price on THAT?!?!?![]()
That Target is ok...It lacks in alot of the departments because they are smushed in such a small footprint (even with two floors). It's also one of those Target stores that don't get the really good sale markdowns. (ie couldn't get the $49 princess tv's there back when they had that deal a couple years ago.
The Target Greatland store out in Germantown has a much nicer store and better customer service. (not that any Target has CS that's great though)

Ah here's where that 1000lb moose might come in handy...
The news also said something about making sure your tornado supply kit was stocked...What the hell is that?!?!?! I've seen earthquake survival kits when I lived in California but tornado kits?
Thirty more days, no driving, arm strapped to the body, will this never end???![]()

John, so sorry to hear that your wing is clipped for another 30 days. I remember a few years back when I had to be on crutches for 12 weeks. The doc first told me 4-6 weeks on crutches, boy did he lie about that.
Feel better!!! I'll be reading your dad's meter tomorrow morning.
Good Night All............![]()
