Yeah, that would be about it. :rotfl: :rotfl:

How about this one? It mentions :cake: :rotfl2:
Mary Poppins:
[Spoken]
In ev'ry job that must be done
There is an element of fun
You find the fun and snap!
The job's a game

[Sung]
And ev'ry task you undertake
Becomes a piece of cake
A lark! A spree! It's very clear to see that

A Spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down
The medicine go down-wown
The medicine go down
Just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down
In a most delightful way

A robin feathering his nest
Has very little time to rest
While gathering his bits of twine and twig
Though quite intent in his pursuit
He has a merry tune to toot
He knows a song will move the job along - for

A Spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down
The medicine go down-wown
The medicine go down
Just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down
In a most delightful way

[Interlude]

The honey bee that fetch the nectar
From the flowers to the comb
Never tire of ever buzzing to and fro
Because they take a little nip
From ev'ry flower that they sip
And hence (And hence),
They find (They find)
Their task is not a grind.

Ah-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h ah!

A Spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down
The medicine go down-wown
The medicine go down
Just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down
In a most delightful way

Guess you wont have any problems getting into that ride. ;)
That's a good thing.:thumbsup2

Todd has a large plastic Janet Reno? I don't want to know what he uses that for.

As long as it's not an inflatable Janet Reno I think we're okay :rotfl2:

Just my 2 cents worth....My recent passport experience...we decided it was time for DD to get her passport. We put in application at the beginning of January and were told approximately 8 weeks. It just showed up this past Monday(about 13 weeks). You are able to check the status on-line but DDs never showed up until just today. :sad2: :confused3 I did call to inqiure and was told current processing time for new passports is upwards of 16 weeks, renewals 12 weeks and "expedited" passports 6 weeks. Apparently they are getting slammed right now. To be safe MR, I would strongly suggest another certified copy of your birth certificate. Murphy's Law will show that it was just a needless expense, but it's a whole lot better than gambling with the Dawn.

Thanks for posting your experience Karen!...I think I will order those extra Birth Certificates just in case...that'yd be my luck. Monica I think I read on the Passport website that if a trip is coming you should contact them as it's approaching and they'll rush it then for you. It reads something like..it's not their intention for anyone to miss a trip...blah, blah, blah...It's worth a look!

Just stopped by to say Hello !!!! Survived first day back to work..........Barely !!!

Mark

Good Boy Mark.....keep your eye on the prize!! :thumbsup2

Thanks MR. I'm not going to worry about it until late July. I'm pretty sure we'll be ok.

:sad1: ...to all our friends enduring such terrible losses...:sad1: ,
before posting today..i saw on the news about a "shooting", thinking
a domestic situation...not this! our 2 sons were in classes today..
i just can't imagined...such a selfish act to destroy lives. :sad1:

.......i do think our schools are the best place to develop counter measures,
..i think back of some of the things that have been expressed here. :sad2:
while we cannot go into every home and solved all the abuses, our
schools can/should be able to provide a "recovery area"...starting with
bullying behaviors. * i do believe , if we were to examined this person's
history, there would be evidence of distrubed thinking/behaviors that
could help us prevent future tragedies. it reminded me of the old adage,
"guns don't killed, people do!"...and that would mean....deaths by
handguns, can be prevented. i think it is about time ,we [society] expected
more from our learning centers- to teach more than technical knowledge?
:thumbsup2 , for those not sitting by and actively working toward improving
the your local schools...in reality you are helping all of us!

fyi, when they asked me to do mental health..i did not want to go!, and
when i first started, i did not like seeing how little were beng accomplished...
but how do you reach those having major problems functioning ? since text
books were doing little..i decided to explored "their family preceptions/
values"...that "hit!". watching nbc shows on catching predators [ teachers,
minsters, miltary], the cops shows, & inside our prisons...we get it all. today,
events, shows how important mental health needs are. [ physical health
may determine how long we live, but our mental health needs determine
how much happiness we get from those years ]. what happened today made
me :sad1: ..and grateful...not my kids.

ok...one of the reasons i posted so much here? reading how much,& so many
care about their families and their communties.... .and some of the
obstacles that has been overcame..wowser! , gives hope for our future...
* it is the simple things that can produced great miracles...:flower3:,
i hope you all keep at it!...:yay:

p.s..i used to be paper boy....and i know all about dogs and their dislike
to the daily news...once an attack dog got lose as i was coming up the road,
[i don't know if he was ignoring his master commands or they was letting
him]...but as soon as he leaped, i whalloped him ..with my paper bag! it
knocked him silly and he retreated... * legally, you are doing that lady a
favor..before her dog does real harm..hopefully not to another child.

have you all see flight 93? ..the 9/11 plane drama?..while no one knows for
sure exactly what happened..let me say, its too bad..there weren't a pysch.
nurse on board..the plan of attack would have been totally different.

life is very fragile. puling a trigger, is something even children can do...but
restoring the damage cannot be done. i wished we could take some sort
of medicine to cure this... there is not. :sad1:. however, i do believe if one
is really wanting to make the world a better place, one should works on
improving oneself...so in all my faults, this is my goal.* one of the unexpected
benefits working in mental health... are the things that helped me appricate
and live life fuller.

This threat level?

SWEET LORD!!!!! That one mandates a 'SODA-TO-MONITOR SPEWING" warning!!!!
:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl:

Just where are all my wild DIS friends tonight? Everyone must be emotionally and physically drained.

Guess I will go to bed then......see ya tomorrow

Andy try and not eat that worm again tomorrow morning.....Tina will be around with coffee cake that is OHhhhhhhh so much more appealing

Evening Everyone,

Just ketchup'n up. Came home and surprisingly today, noone at work was aware of the tragedy. Those poor students. Will we ever know the reason for this. Had to turn the set back to Dancing with the Stars.

Hey Judy!!!!! Monica tried to tell ya earlier. Your Freedom dates are wrong, unless you were on the ship before it sailed :rotfl2: It's 2007, not 2006:thumbsup2

I've been writing down some of the dates some of us will be in town.
June we have Tom31b 21-29 and Roger 27-30
August Esteri 19-28,Peter 24-25,
Sept Maine jennifer 21-26, Goofyforlife 20-23,Grandma4ever 1-8, Cheryl 1-10,
Maybe we can add this to our "website ' so we will know when we'll have groups in town at the same time? Just a thought

I'm beat so I'll sign off. Hope it will dry out for everyone and life will get back to normal.:hippie:

Hi guys. Hope everyone is safe and dry. I've been without power since 9PM last night. It was finally turned back on at noon. Most of the local roads are flooded. Needless to say, I'm not heading to the office today.

The Northeast corner of PA did okay. Not great, but not bad. Lots of localized flooding, but no s**w. It's still a little windy but not nearly as bad as I feared. Are you taking 81?

We survived the storm without any problems here at home. Started yesterday off with snow and got about 3 inches before the change over to rain - by about 5 last night the snow was gone and the flooding was starting.

Today..... RAIN RAIN RAIN..... WIND WIND WIND..... lots of damage all around..... had to leave work early because the two roads going home were in danger of being closed. Here's a crappy pic of my brother's driveway taken with my cell phone today.

FYI--
The IRS filing deadline has been EXTENDED!!!!

BUT ONLY FOR THE FOLKS IN THE NORTHEAST AFFECTED BY THE STORM!!!

IRS extends deadline to April 19 for storm victims

The Internal Revenue Service has granted a two-day reprieve to residents of Northeastern states including Massachusetts who lost power or were flooded during this week's severe storm, extending their annual tax-filing deadline to midnight Thursday.

To qualify for the special extension, residents have to write "April 16 storm,'' preferably in red ink, at the top of their tax return before mailing it in. Taxpayers filing electronically should use the special disaster settings in their tax software, the agency said. <Of course if you have no power then you can't file electronically :sad2: ...nor would you be reading DIS :teeth:>

“Because this unusually forceful storm hit within 24 hours of the filing deadline, we are giving affected taxpayers 48 additional hours,” IRS Commissioner Mark W. Everson said.

People who meet the extended deadline will not be hit with any late-filing or payment penalties, the IRS said. They should be prepared to prove their home or the office of their accountant or tax-preparer was damaged or flooded by the storm.

For people who suffered power outages, the IRS will know what cities and towns were affected, said Peggy Riley, IRS spokeswoman.
A spokesman for Governor Deval Patrick said last night it was unclear whether the state would extend its income-tax deadline.

Actually, a scone would be nice with some clotted cream:goodvibes

I believe 25 miles west of Chicago?:confused3 A town called Woodridge, ever here of it? It seems really nice.

It is a northwest suburb. You are about 10 miles from me. :thumbsup2 Yes it is very nice. :goodvibes I think you will like our area except for the weather.:lmao: Maybe we will have to save our mini meet for July sometime??? Anyone else agree???? :confused3 :confused3
