Andy PM me and I'll send you the pictures to post for me. :thumbsup2 We'll keep it a secret though

I understand you really like that Thera-Gesic. Usually it burns so much :faint: you forget about the pain you originally used it for.

John

OK, we won't tell Cheryl a thing.....................:upsidedow

Yes, the THERA-GESIC has really helped, my first 3oz. tube is nearly empty already, good thing I have three more tubes in the medicine cabinet!!!:thumbsup2

Good Evening Everyone!:coffee:

I can't believe this is the first time I am on today.

Some asked about our animals, well here are mine:

Bert & Bailey - Miniature Dacshunds
Grady & Spencer - Irish Setters
Mitzi - Shiztu
Zoe - Westie
Sienna - Chocolate Lab
Penny - Border Collie
Shayna, Sisi & Sydney - Maltese
Pricilla - Bischon
Brauny - Maltese
Bandit - Retriever
Carlyle - Bischon
Sandy - Yellow Lab
Zoe - Cairn Terrier
Dalais & Duffy - German Shepherds

Why so many pets you may ask? I own my own pet sitting business and all my pets are my babies and they get spoiled when I take care of them while their owners are away.

:woohoo: :cheer2: :woohoo: :cheer2: :woohoo: :cheer2:

Well I was bored here at work (bored = not wanting to do the work I'm supposed to be doing ;)) and decided to check out the vacation calculator. Some guy at another facility was trying to test out his knowledge of Active Server Pages and Dynamic HTML and created a vacation forcasting calculator. You enter your current vacation hours balance, effective date of those hours, Service Date and sick leave eligibility anniversary date. The site
then displays a weekly bar graph that shows your furture vacation balance for the next 18 months! You can also click on a bar and enter the number of hours of vacation you'll be taking that week and the future bars will automatically adjust.

Based on my years of service and current vacation balance, I will have maxed out my vacation time at 272.000 hours by the time we set sail! :woohoo: Of course I'll be taking vacation days prior to that...use it or loose it! :cool2:

I have priced up Virgin ( will have to book september) and open jaw:-

London>LA Orlando>London, is nearly the same as a LA return so thats ok.

One of DW's best friends from high school lives in London and works for Virgin Atlantic! It's a long story that we'll have to tell you during the "Share your secrets" drinking party on Deck 7 Aft...but let's just say the messy divorce spilled over into her worklife and (no offence) you bleeding heart Brits fell for her ex's shennanigans! BUT it's a true testemant that Sir Richard really does care about his people! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Kathy how was your WDW trip??

Karen you definitely have the most pets (adopted or not)

I have a lot of catching up to do but I did want to make a few comments before a read back (well as far as I can anyway)

"Listening" to all the chat here about pets, I was wondering how many of us have pets?

What kind(s) do you have? One Dog and One Cat
How long have you had your pet(s)? Cat 7 yrs Doggie 3 yrs
What is/are your pet(s) name(s)? Doggie: Christmas Tree O'B
Catty: Baby O'B (very fitting as she weigh less than 5 lbs)

What will you do with your pet(s) while on the TOAL?
My darling MIL and SIL come everyday and tend to our Pets. My inlaws are AWESOME people!

"Listening" to all the chat here about pets, I was wondering how many of us have pets?

We never had any pets growing up. My Mom was very afraid of all animals. as a result I've never longed for a pet. Or, would know what to do with one.

My 7 y/o DS really, really, really wants a golden retreiver. Tells me he "needs" one. And, I believe him. He just seems to feel emotions on a much deeper level than most people.

Problem is, I just don't know what to do. I have no experience at all. And we're not home all day. It just doesn't seem right to have a dog home alone all day. I think I'm trying to slowly introduce the idea to myself.

So DW and DS made it into Philly okay. I guess the flight was rather smooth. I'm assuming DS slept the entire way since the flight left at midnight. BUt that was the end of things going smoothly :(

Airline lost DW's suitcase. :headache: And the baggage officer person was probably more concerned about the dead bug on the bottom of her shoe! (Welcome home sweetie :sad2:) So DW has a phone number to call (no claim number mind you) and she has 24 hours before the bag is considered "lost". :sad2: Did I mention that DS' diapers are in that suitcase? Granted we're not using the cloth pocket diapers right now but it's still a pain for her to have to hit the store just because of these bozos!

No Skycaps at the baggage claim area that timeof day (0530) but hey, she had only one (not two) suitcase to deal with alsong with the baby stroller and the baby in his car seat. At least we have that attachment that turns the car seat into a piece of rolling luggage.

No car rental shuttle. They finally came and got her....but no car!!! Silly silly DH set up the rental for 5/1 but the overnight flight arrived on 5/2!!!! :guilty: Of course they were totally out of cars! They did scrounge up a Chevy Aveo....hmmmm DW, DS, DS' car seat, big duffel bag, plus 2 other friends and their crap heading up to Nana's house?  No way. Instead, they gave her the keys to a brand new 2007 Jeep Commander! :woohoo:

So now they are at our friend's house and she's trying to relax...kinda hard to do when you don't have anything to change into!

Gotta love Philly International. That's why I only do carry on. I don't want anyone touching my bag except me.

Now my only problem is I can't figure out how to get 14 days of clothes into a carry on for the TOAL.

Think anyone would notice if I wore the same thing every day?

Welcome back

"Listening" to all the chat here about pets, I was wondering how many of us have pets?

What kind(s) do you have? 6 Cats! :cat: :cat: :cat: :cat: :cat: :cat:
How long have you had your pet(s)? We have always had cats, but the eldest of our current pets is about 6 yrs. Before these 6 we had 3 cats that all passed away within a single year at 12, 13 & 14.
What is/are your pet(s) name(s)? I think I've listed these before, but that was LONG ago with this thread! They are Vincent VanGogh, Dustbuster, Norman Rockwell, Claude Monet, Jackson Pollack & Tuxedo. DS8 named most of them.
What will you do with your pet(s) while on the TOAL? My parents live about 3 miles from us and will stop by to feed and check on them. Cats are fairly easy since you don't have to walk them. Mostly just need to check they have food & water and clean out the litter once or twice! However, they will probably be mad by the time we get home and will hold a grudge for several days :rotfl2:

Pamela (pdarrah)

Even that "snake cake" gives me the willies.........................:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Awwwww! Dante is so cute. He still has a little puppy face! Hope he feels better soon!
Thanks, He is still very much a puppy. He won't be getting any bigger though.

Oh poor Dante, my heart breaks seeing him like that, he does look very sad Tina. I do hope he is up and about very soon.
Mee Too, :sad1: He finally had something to eat. He can't walk at all. Brooke is giving him lots of TLC right now.

We did have a dog, who was MY baby until January 2006. He was a lab/shepherd mix and 11 and 1/2 years old when we had to have him put down. You don't know how much I miss my buddy, buddy........:sad1:

Oh Andy I remember Midnight.:sad1: :sad1: I had a bordie collie that I had to put down and never thought in a million years I would get another dog. You will never forget but in your heart you have wonderful memories.

If you really want to see the paranoia come out, pay for the one way international tickets with cash!

but only do this if you have lots of time to sit in a small room with very bright lights and some very unnerving people.

Sorry sending some PD :wizard: :wizard: My DH has to fly every week. The airlines have lost his luggage a couple of times. In every case his luggage was returned to him ( Hotel or home ) 24 hours later. Good Luck !

:scared1: :scared1: No Way !:rotfl2:

 yay!

Realtors, ugh!!! (No offense to any realtor friends we have here ;)) It's just that lately they seem to add a layer of drama to the situation. The last house we bought was a straightfoward process, brand new house, seller was the builder. No appraisals, no endless meetings, no constant back-n-forth between us, 2 realtors and another party. Sorry, didn't mean to be bitter

I tend to agree with you. It's starting already for me.:rolleyes1 The offer I accepted isn't what my realtor had wrote up. I found out through my lawyer and the realtor was mad because he contacted me instead of him. All I can say is Duh? The lawyer is working for me not you.

I have to sign off now. We are getting a bad thunder, lightning and hail storm.:scared1: My puppies are hiding under the dining room table. I wonder if there is room for me there too. It looks like midnite here!

Have a good nite. Talk to you all tomorrow!!!

Karen

I put pills in a bit of wet food or maybe a slice of lunch meat. DDoggy woofs it down in one gulp! Just gotta watch the fingers! :scared:

This is what I do for JoJo's heart medicine. Works great! ;)

Gotta love Philly International. That's why I only do carry on. I don't want anyone touching my bag except me.

Now my only problem is I can't figure out how to get 14 days of clothes into a carry on for the TOAL.

Think anyone would notice if I wore the same thing every day?

Well I think I may have to bail her out of jail if they don't find that bag! Because by the time she's bought replacements for all her clothes that went missing, the suitcase, diapers and everything else, she's going to be in a mood and you know those PHL TSA goobers aren't the nicest/smartest people to know when to pick a battle... Hell leaving DIA I took the car seat over to the TSO standing there like an idiot (can you tell I have NO LOVE for TSA, er, idiots who wear uniforms with sewn-on badges and think it bestows them with godlike powers?) and asked him to give the seat to the other TSOs for a hand-check (note that we weren't in our usualy lane that has a doorway for him to wheel the bag through).

Well he gets his panties in a twist because he has to block the entrance of the MTWD and check boarding passes and ID before people go through! Very important business ::yes:: Nevermind that the "moat dragon" as we call them on another board already checked the ID and BP...just goes to show TSA doesn't trust them! Anyway, I wound up heaving the seat over the belt leading to the x-ray and teh TSOs there weren't happy either saying we should turn it face down blah blah blah. You know, had they just taken the thing and ETD swabed it, it would have taken less time to do that than for them to b*tch about having to do it. :furious: I mean, it's not like we've done this oh, a couple dozen times to know that it won't fit in 97% of the x-ray machines! (Only once did it fit and that was Vegas because they had a jumbo machine for the wheelchairs).

So that being said, I can see DW either tossing the seat at some ninny TSO who gives her lip about the seat or maybe she will put it in the x-ray and then laugh at them when it gets stuck inside and demand reimbursement for the seat and wheeled attachment! :rolleyes1
