Also since I have been posting on USA sites, I have had e.mails claiming to be from USA banks asking for my personal details to be updated for their internet banking, I do not have a USA bank account and know they are 'Phising' as its called for your private details.

We had a beautiful day and there were over 800,000 on the river. I feel like we waited on every one of them! Derby is now less than 2 weeks away!

Oh I love the derby!!! When I was young we used to do the triple crown every other year. One of my Uncles is good friends with Larry Jones so we used to travel with him to many many east coast races! This year he has another horse in the derby, Hard Spun so we will be watching the race at my GM‘s house! Actually I am going to miss some of my family when I head back home since they will be down at the derby. If only KY and DE were closer!

Unfortunately the lotto is not the only scam happening over email any more. DH and I are adoptive parents and I am on several scam boards and I can not tell you how many times I get email from a person, usually a man asking me to adopt his son or daughter. There is always some sort of horrible sad story about the wife passing during childbirth. The “fee” for the adoption is always a rather good price and the initial monies are small enough that more then one person has shipped it off. The scam is getting more known now and some of the more naive adoptive hopefuls have learned to email and ask some of us who have a little more experience with it. Usually the dead give away is their typing and grammar which you can tell is from someone either using a translator program or speaks broken English. Most of the scams, adoption, lotto, and free money seem to be coming from Nigeria and not to long ago there was a huge show on it. I hope that people get smart and just hit the delete key~!

It is a shame people take advatage of serious issues to make money.

Lots of scams going around like this saying you have won a lottery but you didnt even enter and then ask for money to pay taxes etc.

This weekend a bank contacted by e.mail saying there was a contact payment sitting in their account for me, for millions since 2004.

They wanted all my private information and for me to pay bank charges and taxes to get it.

No such thing as a free lunch!

For them its a lottery as well, a lot they do not win, as people delete, but there are some, who it doesnt click as a scam, maybe need, maybe greed?

We're bringing the two dogs so - I've been researching lodging that is "pet friendly" - and we also have a 6 yr. old. so ........

Shame on you refering to the 6 year old as a pet!

All Westin Hotels permit pets--including the Casuarina in LV. Aladdin is part of Starwood (Westin) but they don't take pets. The Westin has gaming but the casino isn't as big as the megaresorts. Plus, since the hotel is smaller (by comparison) you won't have problems finding your way around. Check with captaincrash for a hotel review.

Marriotts usually don't take pets but most of the Marriott Residence Inns do. The ones in Vegas are non-gaming facilities.

Both the Green Valley Ranch and Red Rock (part of Stations Casinos) take pets. Red Rock also has a Kids' Quest (think DCL Oceaneer's Lab/Club) on site. We dropped DS1 off there a couple of times while we had dinner or gambled. You don't need to be a hotel guest. But note that if she's going to ever go back after this visit, she'll need her immunization record.

When the storms develop initially and move to the ENE, hail around one inch in diameter and wind gusts around 60mph will be the biggest threats in the yellow shaded areas on the map, isolated, brief/weak tornadoes are also possible with the initial storms. As these storms move toward Kansas they will encounter richer moisture that will allow the storms to strengthen. As this happens, areas shaded in orange could see very large hail develop, in some cases close to or over 2" in diameter, and the strongest storms could produce tornadoes as they approach the red shaded area.​

Well consider this: DW and I were buying some stuff at KMart and were sent off to the customer service desk to checkout. KMart is a Western Union location. There was a large sign asking if you were sending money to someone you didn't know or had met via email, were sending it overseas etc. If so, then STOP and talk to a WU agent about it immediately!
