Morning:goodvibes

Hard getting up as well.

Current conditions as of 7:53 am
Light Rain 52 high 77?

Good thing you guys left.See Florida misses you it's crying.
I am so behind this am. Gotta get lunch ready.

OH MY GOODNESS!!! What a night. :( I didn't get to bed until 1:30...and it wasn't because I was DISing. I was at the ER with DS from 6:50 until 1:10 am. We went to a birthday party yesterday afternoon & the kids were outside playing on the trampoline. He is use to them & knows the rules. Well, he was getting down because I told them we were going home and his foot slipped on the stepstool making him fall headfirst to the ground. He of course put his hands out to protect himself and his right hand took the impact. He came in crying and the palm of his hand was bleeding from what looked like a puncture. The kids showed the dad where he had fallen and he found a pine tree twig that probably caused it...since he also had a couple of splinters in the palm of his hand as well. I rushed home to drop off DD and have the nurse next door look at it to see if a trip to urgent care was justified or overreacting on my part. She said that it looked like it was starting to swell from something being inside the skin so off we went...only to find it closed early for Easter. A quick call to the ped on call had us going to the ER to get it checked out...where we waited a very long time. It was an hour inbetween everything...having his name called for triage & registration, 80 minutes before being called back to sit on a bed in the hallway to wait another 70 minutes to have the doctor check him out, then an xray, then meds, then move to a room. It was after midnight before the doctor came in to treat it. It took longer for the meds to numb his hand...the poor kid had the needle poked in his hand many times to get that done. :( :( :( Good thing though because they had to hold him down just because he saw what the doctor was going to use to cut his hand open to get the stick out. I worked on keeping his eyes covered the rest of the time and he was in good spirits soon after that was done. The doctor was really good with him so that helped a lot. We hadn't had dinner so I told him that he could have anything he wanted when we left. After picking up a milkshake at McD's we finally got home.

DD just went to school...not at all happy about the fact that her brother is still in bed sleeping. I am going to try to go back to sleep too before he wakes up & needs more painkillers. He has a splint since they have to treat it as a sprain due to where it happened. He is concerned about not being able to write or play his gameboy. ;) I'll check in some time today.

Lisa, hope ds is doing well. Isn't that a kid for you. You go thru all that drama and the only thing they are worried about is playing their gameboy!
:grouphug: for both of you! The life of a mom! LOL!

1986!!!! Holy Moly I graduated in 1978 and I'm 46, so that means your in the 30's! I hate that J. R., so okay compared to YOU I had a senior moment!

And I know we can't believe we left the blender at the front door either!!! So then we bought a 12 pack of Mike's Hard Lemonades........and you know what? We never even opened the box!!!! :scared1: Shame on us!

Hey 46 isn't old! Be nice to us J.R. or we may have to wack you with our canes or large purses! I maybe 4 years away from membership in AARP, but your as old as you let your self feel. :)

Talk about "senior moments" AARP sent me membership info when I turned 40! :confused3

Lisa :grouphug: hope your DS is better today. and that you get some sleep..

Just dropping by to say HI..:surfweb:

I am a woman of many moods, and they all require chocolate. :rotfl:

gonna do a bit of ketchup and then back to work for me..

Lisa, hope he feels better. Puncture wounds really hurt!

I take back the light rain.It is rain and making noise on the skylight. Ugh. Now I have to lug my stuff in the rain.

I have 2 days of ketchup...but here's where I've been:
My house is almost clean and organized without piles of random stuff in every corner for the first time since before we left for vacation 3 weeks ago. Laundry is done. The parent team wooped the Mite C's in the hockey game/party (I was the only Mom who played...). The team signed and gave DS the banner than hung in the rink all this year as his going away gift. Eggs were dyed. Easter bunny visited. Easter feast was prepared and eaten. We didn't get around to the mud on our deck yet because something else distracted us...

Ohhhh - how precious!

Saw the recipe for the "Devil's Juice" non-alcoholic drink. No thanks....tomato juice, cranberry juice and Tobasco Sauce in the same glass?!?!?!?! NO THANK YOU!!!!

EEEWWWWW! I'll stick to the fruity drinks. :goodvibes

Ouch. Hope he is feeling better today. Tell me he can play GB one handed -- my DS had to when he had his thumb in a splint -- just set it on a table.

My momma always taught me to be kind to my elders, so you'll have no issues with me. If you need help crossing Deck 9, just let me know -- my two kids are Boy Scouts. :rotfl:

And age has nothing to do with those forgetful moments. My DS has them all the time. And he is 10.

I have my own personal girl scout to help me, well when she has a mind to! LOL! DD has them all the time too, I think it is selective memory! :lmao: DD keeps telling me that in a couple of years I can be a "Red Hat" lady!:rotfl:

I'd rather be a pirate:

Judy, that's the way I read it at first, then I thought, no that has got to be, Best Friend...............;)

My mind is still kind of groggy this morning from the drive home, I'm sure glad I have today off, I surely do need it.................:lmao:

Isn't this how rumors get started?

So Arlene where did you meet him?:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Thank god he is ok!!!

I guess the fact that he is concerned about the inability to play gameboy is a sign that he will come through this just fine (at least that's the indicator with my kids...)

Hope you get some needed rest and he heals quick!

I thought it was you are only as old as you act? With this group, the average age is... never mind.... :rotfl2:

EEEWWWWW! I'll stick to the fruity drinks. :goodvibes

How bout this version of Devil's Juice Brack....

1 liter of 190 proof grain liquor
2 bottles of fruit punch flavored sports drink.
2 cans of energy drink.

Will make you fearless and feel no pain.

PS Think Mexico sells grain?

Your two are Boy Scouts, given the cookie talk we have a few Girl Scouts or Brownies (sp?), my DSs are Cub Scouts.... if we need to camp out for pins/t-*****/other stuff (due to poor distribution planning), I think the kids got the camping covered.
