:woohoo: :woohoo: Just got a call from DU. We got upgraded on our cruise this Saturday! We had connecting SPH rooms (cat 10) now we have connecting 7's with the nav. verandahs. What a way to start the day:)

Congrats there Paula!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

So who is on your Disney Visa? And does it say anything about you?

This is the style DH and I agreed upon. That being said, I just recently requested the Tink. :rolleyes1 I like the pixiedust: version b/c it represents the magic that follows most things ::MickeyMo But I like the Tink b/c she and I have some similar personality traits...impish little pixies! ;)

DH is still doing Atkins and boy do I miss my comfort dinners..meatloaf, shepard's pie, ribs & cornbread and such :sad1:

Chrissie & Karen.... Congrats on your accomplishment. I know how difficult it is, but also know how rewarding it is when your hard work is paying off!!! Keep up the good work :thumbsup2

Happy (belated) Birthday, David:hug:

Are we thinking of the same guy?? :scratchin :scratchin

Well, we try to pay off every month :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 . But when we don't, I find their interest rate is not too "user friendly", or husband friendly for that matter :rolleyes1. We have a great rate on our Capital One and get miles from it also, so Disney Visa gets stuck in the drawer

Chrissie - Congrats on the weight loss!! WTG!:thumbsup2

We had the Red card, but changed it to the Anniv Castle when it was offered.

We got a second card for DW, she chose Tink.

I like the "Pals" card too. Now if they'd do one with the Ship on it (or better yet a picture of Castaway Cay).

I just wish they'd use black numbers so you could read the darn thing.

Unfortunantly it seems like everyone is moving except them. :( The dad is a state trooper & was out walking the dog with the kid a little while ago. I think that it will be great if all of the kids stand up to him.

That explains it...daddy is The Law and so he can act with impunity.

My Security guy told me he got a call when he was active duty to "talk" to his sister. She was in Jr. High at the time and evidently a boy called her the b-word to her back. She turned around and POW! Socked him in the jaw and down he went! She was, of course, suspended for fighting in school but since he was a well-known school bully, he had to suffer the indignity of the snickers from everyone because word QUICKLY got out that he got L A I D O U T in one punch....by a girl!

You guessed it, the parents pushed for some sort of "real" punishment but that got nowhere fast once it was pointed out that SEVERAL other kids would come forward

My card is Castle. I strictly use it for Disney.

Andy - I am jealous of all you disers down at WDW this week. I read your diary of your drive down on Friday. I should have warned you about I95 on a Friday driving south. 13 would have been better but that is hindsight. I could have met you and your family and offered my B&B(my house) to your family Friday night seeing that I live in Williamsburg,VA. Sorry I didn't think about it until I read your notes. I would have invited MaryRose and her family and we could have had a mini-meet!

The weather here was 86 but I would have preferred to be at WDW with you guys this week. I will be looking forward to your reports and pictures.

Speaking of bullys...did anyone hear about the girls in WA who poisoned their teacher?

http://www.ktvb.com/news/regional/stories/NW_033007WABteacherpoisonedLJ.16928974.html

They didn't want to get into trouble for not having a bad progress report signed by their parents. So instead, they put straberry lip gloss on their teacher's coffee cup KNOWING that the teacher has a severe allergy to strawberries! :sad2: But they didn't use a real strawberry 'cause they didn't want to kill teach, just make her sick. Ahhhh the thinking of 12-year-olds.

So now the girls are expelled from school, detained in juvie and are charged with assault in the second degree....

They estimate that 80% of what is bought in scrapbooking is not used.

If my DW used 100% of her material we would have to have a new (larger) house to show off all of the completed scrapbooks! :lmao:

I only used the Disney Visa to get $30 off my order at DD.com last year. ;) I have used it a couple times when needed to order there at a discount & showed it at World of Disney to get the discount there...didn't have to charge it on the card though. :thumbsup2 We use another card that sends us a check each year for 1% of our purchases. I like that we can use it for anything we want. We pay it off every month as well.

... not to mention the beautiful turn of spring-like weather many of us are encountering.....

It has been beautiful here but ...... they are talking SN*W  in this area later in the week. It may not happen but just to talk about it is bad! What is up with that? :confused3

I'm on my soapbox here...I hate it when people think they are exempt from doing the right thing just because mom, dad, uncle, aunt, sister, brother, mother's cousin's boyfriends sisters husbands daughter, works in law enforcement! We have told DS that just because dad is a police officer it does not give him the right to behave any way he wishes and that if he breaks the law he will face the consequences of doing so.

Stepping down now...

But you would have beautiful memories that could be enjoyed by generations. They are so much easier to look through than photo albums.:)

Hi Karen,

I was thinking of you as we were taking 295 around Richmond and I saw the exit for 64 to Williamsburg, but that was like before 7am Saturday morning. Of course, you being the early riser, I'm sure you were already up by then.....;)

I wish their rewards program paid more. I use it to pay for Disney stuff and DH opened one last year to save $75 off our DVC dues this year. I have several cards that I use depending on where I shop, and we make sure to pay them off monthly as well.

reminds me of an incident a couple of years ago that happened on our bus......

A couple of students (bullies) forced a child allergic to peanuts to handle a peanut butter sandwich on one of the city's school buses. Of course, due to the child's confidentiality we never heard what kind of repercussions (if any) for their actions were dolled out :sad2: :sad2:

..... but you're at Disney World? :confused3

Not quite Brack, actually I'm about an hour's drive north (in Lake County) of WDW, but we will be at WDW on Friday for the mini-meet, then will be staying at Pop Century Friday night before heading for home Saturday morning.

I can't imagine what gets in the head of some people. Makes you wonder if something just doesn't function correctly in their brains or are they just that stupid.:sad2:
