Thanks for sharing the pitcures, Andy - That is one fine looking group of DISers :thumbsup2 . You all looked like you had a blast and it's nice to put faces with names. Have a safe journey home. I hear you may be going through some nasty weather.

Well, I am doing dinner tomorrow and have not done any grocery shopping ('cept the ham) or basket shopping. I don't even think I have egg coloring stuff - What a loser :rotfl: . Ya think I should get off the DIS and get my butt in gear????

No you're not a loser! You just have the DISease! Join the club!

That bunny is so cute! Made me chuckle!

Hey Andrew...you seem to be a well seasoned cruiser! I have a question for you...Have you ever been to Bermuda? If so, what you recommend for a family excursion?

One place I have never been to, so cannot help.

I haven't been there on a cruise, but DH & I went years ago. They have an awesome cave you can explore there. Very colorful with lots of stalactites. And they also offer a dolphin show on the island. Then of course there are the beautiful pink sandy beaches. I love Bermuda! It is so beautiful, clean & vibrant. I'm hoping to do a cruise there someday after the TOAL!

Thanks for the Happy Birthday wishes for Cade! We are having his party at Lazer Quest this afternoon so I will show him his birthday wishes later!

See and you guys didnt think I made it to the mini meet ....well now there is proof ....I had good wind in me sails ...:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Andrew,

On all my cruises I went on I always went up on Deck 10 to watch this. It gives me goosebumps!. It tells me we are on our way for a "Magical" week.

Can I hire you to be my photographer for our trip next year. I can take the same picture as someone else and their's come out better! Go figure!

Did you see what we did for Enna and Lorri on the plate. Pete made that cake and another. Paula brought one of those huge things of cupcakes POC of course and I brought a chocolate cake we never even touched. Pete also made his awesome choco chip cookies. YUM

Thank you for the cake!

That is true, and I worry about what someone might say with as much as the kids fall. Last week after three weeks at the skating rink DD's rear end looks like a connect the dot game with all the bruises from her falling on her butt. I know that it is important for those kids who don't have a voice though.

I was afraid our doctor would be concerned about the bruises all over DS's knees once, but he said that he would be more concerned if he didn't have bruises on his knees. It shows he is out running around & bruises in young children are normal. He said what they do look for are bruises in odd places.

Lisa,

When will you be at Disney in December? I will be there from 11/27 thru 12/7. I go down every year the week after Thanksgiving. It is so pretty decorated for Christmas. Epcot is beautiful with all the different countries showing how they celebrate the season. The characters are dressed in festive costumes as they travel on the double decker bus thru the park.

If you haven't done Mickey's Very Magic Christmas Party I
highly reccomend it.:santa: Snow in the Magic Kingdom at night!!!

KAREN

The holidays in WDW are beautiful, but froze our butts off there this past December. It was in the 40's & windy in the MK & DS didn't even want to stay till the end of MVMCP because he was too cold. That fake snow on Main Street didn't seem so magical that night!

That story about the hospital reminded me of when dd was around 15 mos old she was really sick with a sore throat. We took her to the Dr. and he told us to try to keep her temp down as it was 104. We had a really long night with her and finally all fell asleep til we heard a strange noise coming from her crib. It sounded like it was shaking and she was having a febrile convulsion. well we freaked! Rushed her to the ER and after they started evaluating her took each of us separately and the social worker interviewed us about our daily routines etc. I got up and told her I didn't like where she was going with this line of questioning and ended my session with her. I don't know what they had in their minds. She wound up staying in the hospital for 4 days til she stopped spiking. They really couldn't give us a diagnosis either other than sore throat. Strep came back neg. Til she was 5 she went thru these fevers everytime she got sick. Did they reallythink we were responsible for her seizure???

Here you are worried about your DD & they are throwing questions at you about your daily routines? That's terrible! I don't think these types of seizures are uncommon. I have a DF whose son is the same way. They do say that they grow out of it eventually.

DS was born with Mongolian Spots (aka Mongolian Blue Spots)
http://www.tokyo-med.ac.jp/genet/msp/index.htm
See the "Examples" link. Better yet, this could easily be a photo of DS's little butt! :) They should go away in a few more years. Luckily we had a fantastic pediatrician who documented them when we got home. The web site is (pardon the pun) spot on!
Because Mongolian spots can be easily mistaken for bruises, particularly by well-meaning white people who have no experience with them, they have triggered accusations of child abuse against some adoptive parents. For this reason, it is important to be sure that both your child's pediatrician and the caseworker who completes your post-adoption work record information on the presence of Mongolian spots into their records. You can assist in the documentation of this information by taking snapshots of the spots and providing prints to be included in your child's files. Since you cannot take for granted that everyone will know what Mongolian spots are, it is good advice to have their presence recorded from the start.
So appropos because when DW & DS went to see the doc for a checkup, she wasn't in but her partner in the practice was. So when his med tech put DS on the scale she saw his spots...luckily the doc or clinic nurse read the file when the tech asked if she should call Child Services!! :scared:

Wow I have to admit I had no idea such a condition existed. Thank God you were smart enough to keep documentation!

 :thumbsup2
Just saw a TV show that said they have a wussy version of Mission Space! DW (I DON'T DO RIDES) says she'll go on that one. And she loved Soarin'!

I've done both & I'll settle for the wimpy ride! Did NOT like the original ride at all! My kids knew I hated MS so they were dead set against trying even the tamer version, but once I tried it & said it was great, they tried it too & love it!

Easter colder than Christmas?

If meteorologists' predictions are right, Easter 2007 will be colder and snowier than Christmas 2006.

The forecast calls for a high of 39 degrees Sunday. Temperatures at Hancock Airport reached 43 degrees on Christmas.

Easter also might bring some snow to the region - although probably only a trace - thanks to a storm hovering over lower Canada. Syracuse got no snow on Christmas.

"It was a very unusually warm December and, at least starting out, it's been an unusually cold start to April," National Weather Service meteorologist Dan Padavona said.

April highs typically reach the low 50s, but this week they languished in the high 20s and low 30s. The chill is expected to stay through the beginning of next week, and maybe longer.

"Who knows what the second half of the month will bring?" Padavona said. "It's just kind of the luck of the draw."

Oswego County snow

Friday's blustery blast of lake-effect snow sent dozens of vehicles off the roads in Oswego County.

More than a foot of snow fell overnight Thursday and Friday morning in parts of the county, according to the National Weather Service. More snow is expected today.

Redfield got hit the worst, with 14 inches.

Fulton wasn't far behind, with 13 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service in Buffalo.

But in Oswego, thanks to some brisk winds that pushed clouds to the south, it was far less snowy. The city received only a total of 3.5 inches of snow on Thursday and Friday.
