Finally ketchuped! It has been a super long day for me so I am just going to throw out a quick post and call it a night.

MR, so glad to hear everything went well with the surgery! I'm sure it was a stressful day for both of you.

Andy, I'm so happy for Angelina! :cheer2: What a cool job!

Crash, sorry to hear your DD is sick. I'm sure you guys are giving her lots of TLC. I hope she feels better tomorrow!

I guess I missed the chance to wish M a great trip, but just in case - Have a great time in Hawaii.

Welcome back Lisa, Mark and Laura. :yay: We missed you guys. It really slowed down without you around.

Shelley, I hope everything is OK. We haven't heard from you in awhile. Take care and let us know how you are when you get a chance. :flower3:

Hi Roger! :wave2: I see you're keeping the late shift going. I wish I had the energy and mental capacity left to hang and post with you for awhile, but it's been a couple of long work days for me and I am spent.

Wishing everyone a great Friday!!

I previously mentioned the article on Cartagena that appears in the current Conde Nast Traveler magazine. I thought I would post some excerpts from the article to give people a taste of what certainly seems like a fascinating port-of-call. If nothing else, this should reassure those who, based on some of the previous posts, might have been concerned about leaving the ship. Having just finished the entire article, I will have to make sure to watch Romancing the Stone again before next August.

Excerpts from Sleeping Beauty: Even during Columbia’s darkest years, Cartagena was spared. David Ebershoff visits this dreamy city by the sea, a place that wears its rich history as lightly as it does its languorous charm (Conde Nast Traveler, March 2007).

Thank you for posting the article.

1) If you could have remodeled your backyard with ONE big change - what would you do? Cost no object but it has to FIT PHYSICALLY into your existing backyard. An inground pool with waterfall.

2) If you could have remodeled your home with ONE general change of some sort - cost no object (it's free) ... than what would you do... but it has to physically FIT into the lot size you have. Add another room on and another bathoom
3) If you could remodel your KITCHEN ONLY with ONE major change - cost no object - what would you do? New cabinets and knock down ajoining wall to make it larger.
4) If you could remodel your front landscaping with up to 3 changes - cost no object - what would you do? Tear down boarder we have and put a new one in.
5) If you could decorate or remodel your DCL cabin door with one unusual change - ANY CHANGE - what would you do? Paint it blue

6) If you could have the NEW Disney ship be built with ONE MAJOR CHANGE as YOU describe... what would it be that you would have them do. Let your imagination go WILD here. A miniture golf course. Plasma tv's for all the cabins. Larger cabins, by at least 100 feet. Butler service for all.
7) What would you add as the next great Disney ride if you could have them build something to your specification. Cost and engineering requierements are no obstacle. It can be placed on Disneyland or WDW - your choice... and they will replace an attraction to make room for your new ride if needed.
Peoplemover back at disneyland!!!

Well the boards are about to go down, so I'll continue tomorrow or today I guess.

Have a Happy Friday everyone!!!

Seems like I have a little ketching up to do this morning!!!

The boys do soccer.

That reminds me, need to get good assistant coach for rec soccer league to lead practices while on the Repo Repo Cruise..... all these details to work out and so little time.... LOL

:cool1: :cool1: Congratulations:cool1: :cool1:

So does this mean you are going to Florida by yourself?

I'm not sure just yet, Angelina is going to let her new boss know that we had this vacation planned, if they say it's OK that she be gone for that week, then Hazel and Angelina will still be going, otherwise, it might just be me, flying down and back by myself. Oh, the smilies are not working for me this morning, how dreadful!!!!!!!!!

After about an hour, I am finally getting back on this morning. I was in the middle of replying to a post and BOOM, the boards went down for over an hour, how sad!!! Now back to my ketching up.

Here's a little snack to tide me over............

Game Overview
There are six rounds in each set of Bunco. The High Table controls the pace of play by starting each round and ending each round with a ring of the bell. The scorekeeper at each table is the first to roll.

Players earn points by rolling the three dice. In each round, players are trying to roll the same number as the round, or the target number (for example, rolling in Round 3) - sometimes called a mark.

One point is awarded for each target number rolled successfully. For example rolling in round 1 earns 2 points, in round 2, the same roll earns one point. In rounds 3-6 this roll earns no points.

Five points are awarded for rolling three of a kind of any number except the current target number. For example rolling in round 3 earns 5 points.

BUNCO! is called when rolling 3 of a kind of the target number. For example, rolling in Round 3. Rolling BUNCO is worth 21 points, but the player has to yell it out to get credit for it.

The player rolls as long as they score one or more points. When they fail to roll the target number on any of the dice, the dice are passed to the player on the left and the scorekeeper records the cumulative score on the Table Tally as the temporary team score.

The round is over when the HIGH table reaches 21 points, they ring the bell and the round is over for everyone. The other tables keep rolling until the high table rings the bell. They may score more than 21 points, sometimes over 100 points.

When the round ends, and players at the lower tables get to finish their roll.

Every player gets at least one roll per round.

At the end of each round the winning team from the Middle and Low tables move up to a higher table. The losing team from the High table moves to the low table. During the switch partners are changed.

I have heard about Bunco and know some people who play. I would be interested in learning how to play if anyone is willing to teach me. :)

:goodvibes It looks like someone didn't want to waste any time getting to the Mickey pool! :thumbsup2

I told my niece to have the girls swimsuits on under their clothes and make a mad dash for the Mickey pool................:)

Been lurking for a while and figured I might as well jump in since I will be on the ship for two weeks with this group.....

Quick question, all the links/pics/menus/excursions/etc. by Andrew DEREK UK are not there/not working... have they been moved?

I am the overobsessive planner/researcher and need to see and know it all beforehand.... This group can help with that right?

Welcome Aboard There Matey!!!

Well I'm going to turn in now, DH says Thank you for the birthday wishes. He's pretty happy tonight, he went out and purchased a new truck.

Welcome to any newbies that joined in. I'm happy to hear that things are going well for everyone now.
Good Night, Sweet Dreams

WOW!!! What a nice birthday gift for himself!!!

Well, up to date for the time being, still no smilies though, how sad.

Angelina has off from school today due to Teacher's Inservice, so I get some extra free time for myself this morning. Woke up a little before 4am feeling a bit under the weather, so decided to stay home today and rest. Going back to lay down and hopefully get some more sleep, see y'all later...........

Morning again everyone:surfweb:

Andy - It took me over 45 minutes to finally get on here this am. Working very very slow.

I heard that the Northeast is getting hit with snow. JETBLUE has cancelled 215 Flights and Delta Already cancelled 100. I hope none of my fellow disers are affected by this.

Andy - I heard Philly airport has delays and this snow is supposed to come in to day and out tomorrow. Stay warm today.

Yesterday we had 83 degrees here in VA today it is 34.
No wonder alot of people get sick. I am supposed to go to Busch Gardens tomorrow for passholder day. It looks like we will be dressing for winter. We will just have to spend extra time in Ireland and have a couple more Baileys. YUM!

Talk to you later.

Morning all.

Let's see....Wednesday had a hi of 76 and sunny.

Friday....it's 30 with sl^^t and some sn*w.

I want to start blaming the groundhog, but I'm not going there for fear of bodily harm.....:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I need to get going. I want to be out of here at a reasonable hour today since the weather is only going to get worse.. I'll be lurking

The best one is Zumanity .....at the New York New York , but you have to have an open mind

pirate:

Don't think I'd do Zumanity with a 7 y.o. We were thinking of Ka or O if we come out this fall. DW and I saw Mystere already and would see it again, but would like to see something different.

Happy Friday everyone!

Just doing a quick check in to say have a great weekend....friends in "weather" be safe!

fever.gif

The little one has a fever spiking now from yesterday - I'm up helping to dose medicationnow with my spouse - the little one is sooo cute when shes' delerious. She just told us "I love my family" ... She's still so logical in such a charming way.

And as fer the "Canadian Mounter" quoted above ... <chuckles> ... here's an image for the morning shift to chuckle over... Dudley Do-Right is actually doing an animated salute - but it only cycles ONCE per loading. Good luck catching it in animated action!

main_01_02.gif

Sorry - this was the best I could find of an animated Dudley under the circumstances!
